Thank you for the explanation and the exercises for vibrato. Your video is the best I have seen so far. I have always used a cheating vibrato. I am earning how to do it all over. My teacher will not let me do it right now.
I have arthritis in my fingers and needless to say I cannot yet do vibrato although I have been a violin student for 12 plus years. I have patience. Arm vibrato seems to be my style as my fingers can not bend where it should bend / they seem very straight. I thank you for your videos in general - so helpful!
Vibrato does take time to develop. If you've been struggling with it for a while, I would look at some other possible issues. For instance, excessive left hand tension. I also suggest starting with arm vibrato.
Excellent video! This is the best video that I've ever seen. Best wishes and God Bless!!!
This is what I need practice on! Also, "Double Stops". says Judy Corrette

I am 70 yr. sold, and started to play 8 yrs. ago. I am up to Suzuki book 8. I cannot get the hang of vibrato. Am I too old to learn it?

@@MeadowlarkViolin Thanks. I have tried both wrist and arm, and there is tension in the left arm.
