Sometimes the hardest part is getting pulled up. The pin catches the walls on the inside of the shifter. Spin it around a bit and you will get it. Don't be to hard but give it a pull.
How hard is the bushing? I have read that if it is hard it can make creaking noises. Mine was missing when I bought the car, so I do not have anything to compare it to. The snap when it was installed seemed loud for something that should have some give to it.

The bushing linked in the description fit, but it was super tight
As it should be. No noise, snug fit, and looks great!
I literally can't remove the shift knob. I got it in neutral and everything but it won't push down. 04 V70R if that helps.
Just push harder down and twist to the left.

Was able to twist mine, but only about an 1/8” of up and down movement. Apparently there may be some sort of glue in there.

The bushing is made of a flexible plastic. It is not a hard bushing. Makes for a noise free shifting experience!
What the hell is that space ball? I didn't know Volvo's had that! Is it possible to delete that and put in a regular shift boot?
It's a sweet look. You could put leather but it looks boring. It's rated one of the most beautiful shifter in the world. Lol
Why would you?!? Those shifters are what makes the P2R so special.
