I'm gonna say this right now. Daz3d just got an Epic Mega Grant. I'm really thinking they are going to team up to bring the daz clothing market into the Metahumans wardrobe. It's really a no brainer. They are the top 3d store with over 20 years of a consistent marketplace right next to Renderosity.
I cant wait for this to release, the possibilities are endless.
Imagine using this software to create your character, and then importing it into your favourite game, in the coming future; that uses unreal engine.

I managed to get access a few hours before I received the email. I were getting a fair bit of lag when zoomed in pretty close but it wasn't too bad for the most part..
This truely is an amazing system for making super realistic characters, however.. I don't think you have enough freedom with sculpt and morphing options to recreate real life people. For that reason I still see alot of benefits with using for Reallusions CC3 but if its just realistic humans you are going for this is the way for sure! Am very impressed overall :)
Also I had issues downloading my MetaHuman creation from Quixel Bridge. It were stuck at 0% even after 30 minutes but the preset MetaHumans downloaded with no issues. Not sure if it were on my end or something that needs a fix on epics end.

Agreed. They all kind of have a "same" look.
Apparently they limited this because they were afraid of people making digital likenesses of real people?
@@jesse8068 that could be the case but I assumed it were to try and keep realism within the characters. I am kinda disappointed in the live link face, the mouth movements were pretty awful, maybe its because I used the free live link face app but I get much better results with my Reallusion characters using the same iphone app.

I didn't have any lag or UI issues when I used it just now. This is very nice! I was hoping to have a download option at the end but there isn't any :( haha. Looking forward to the future of character generating!

Pretty insane. But I agree on clothes, we need the same diversity as for faces.
My workaround is to get some of the Paragon characters from the Epic Marketplace, export to Maya, remove weapons and head, export FBX to Mixamo for animations and then back to Unreal. Parent MH head to Paragon body with animations. I use the same workflow for characters from Turbosquid or any other marketplace. Yeah, it's a pain in the ass.

Awesome, do you know how to fix the hair lod. Hair keep disappearing when I go just a little bit far. It’s only good for close up. Need hair also far away distance
Just change the LODsync for the MH to only use single LOD (LOD -1).

I was playing around with metahuman at the same time you were and i said to myself “i wish its still free when it comes out fully”
where are you getting this from I did the same waited for email got email launch metahuman and get this for a hour (Your access to MetaHuman Creator is confirmed. Stand by while we redirect you.) ? It just get reloading and reloading with the same words

The one rule is that you can only publish characters you make with MetaHuman Creator in Unreal Engine projects, binding them to Epic's Unreal license. That license is quite permissive for small projects: You can use the Unreal development kit free, and if you publish a game made with it, you don't pay Epic any royalties until you've made at least $1 million in revenue. After that, the royalty is five percent.

Hi, can you explain please the relation between Metahuman and Reallusion Character Creator 3? Do I need Character Creator 3 to build a complete new Character? character creator 3 have been around a loonng time so they have more clothes etc, Metahuman is new and free

I imported 3 of these. Trey Hudson and ettoir. Each were missing assets. Hudson has no afro. Trey has no beard and ettoure has no hair.
hair is only available at lod 1 and 0 like i mentioned in this vid
