My thoughts on this deliberate derailment in a single sentence: The instant you deliberately try to DERAIL a train, particularly a famous one, you deserve to be in prison for life with zero parole, and blasted on social media for how much of a scumbag you are. Seriously, what was the person THINKING!?
I agree with you that it's "deserved," but it won't happen. There is no such thing as life imprisonment in Mexico. It seem that would violate the notion that prison is for rehabilitation. A Mexican prison is officially called a "CERESO." That's a contraction for "Centro de Readaptación Social."
I've seen plenty of Mexican Railfans say that this shouldn't have ended up as it did and such, and some did get a glimpse of/ and took pictures of The Empress while in Mexico City. then again this was a tragic railfanning event. Nobody is to blame for their nationality, But there probably won't be another event like this in Mexico again until safety guidelines are planned out and such, But I have no conformation about that.
I hope the CEO of CPKC is proud of himself for this disaster of a tour because he just embarrassed himself, the locomotive, and the company. All because he wanted to be seen in mexico while dragging the empress through the dirt. Like bruh, you couldn't have gone to mexico on your own time?
