James Bond is one of the most popular franchises of all time. In recent years with Daniel Craig in the titular role, it’s been kind of a mixed bag. Casino Royale was critically acclaimed for its gritty perspective on 007, but then Quantum of Solace seemingly dropped the ball. Then Skyfall picked the ball back up again, and Spectre… well it raises a lot of questions.
Like what’s up with all the wardrobe changes? Where are they getting all these clothes? Why didn’t M tell James about the rogue mission while she was alive? Why is Q so nice to Bond? Why don’t any of the bad guys take the shot when they have it? How and when exactly did Madeleine fall deeply in love with James? When did Blofeld do so many arts and crafts?
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to Spectre! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Hey glenn, if anything i would have expected you to reply to my comment.
He's the protagonist and she's a plot point. GOLD

Do you know what is gold Yash- your profile picture, long live the king

Thats true for many movies
Bond summarised
"James Bond running around for a while and doing some things" was *exactly* what this movie was.
So disappointing when you see the protagonist just running around and "doing things."
Running around doing things seems to be pretty popular with screenwriters. I see that plot in a lot of movies.
@@raydunakin It's a template for how to write a script in 10 minutes or less

Might be due to the fact that informations are traveling faster throughout the world. Classic spy movies you needed to deliver the messages by person, so you had a lot of travel time, which could take weeks to arrive. Now with modern technology everything is way shorter. Thats why this doesnt work anymore because in that short period of time there is no character development. Beeing chased for weeks with a companion, beeing in extreme situations together over some weeks... thats a different story. There a love affair might be possible. But not like in todays films: "I know you 24 hours, 8 of which I was asleep, so I love you now with all my heart!"

A problem I have Daniel Craig's Bond is how much continuity is in his films.
To me each James Bond film is supposed to be like a day in the life of 007 that the audience gets to see, not a giant story like The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.
I was thinking the same thing. It can kill the franchise. For example, I would love to see another dozen Bourne movies, but just "day in the life" style. Scratch all the Treadstone backstory and such.
All Craig's Bond films are utter cr*p
