McDonalds, "Three egg McMuffins please". Slide two of those babies into the pannier for lunchtime. I carried a 3'x7' piece of Tyvek to sit on and use as doormat for the tent. We camped a few hundred yards back up the road from Sandstone down a steep dirt road, but right next to the creek. Beautiful, quiet spot for the night hidden from the road.
That's the way to go...egg McMuffins for the road! Great idea re the Tyvek! Sounds like you camped exactly where we did! Was a very nice spot...we were greeted early in the morning by a few guys in a pickup, all camo'd out with bows, hunting for Elk.
Ya, that was unexpected...among the most challenging road rides I've had in a very long time. Was very happy to get to the gravel road and enter the forest. Never even thought of going through Wamsutter.
Great video!
Thanks!
That was a great evening, swapping classic motorcycle stories with you and Scott in our aspen grove wild camp.
Ya, that was a really nice camp and chat...wished we got there earlier so we could chat longer!

That was my least favorite part of the ride. I wished I had gone through Wamsutter. I really found the road section to be the worst.
