Thank you Margit for your content and introduction on the Routine Activity Theory. It was really concise and clear. As I studied Criminology at University, it's always refreshing to "re-hear" the dozens of criminological theories.
Thanks for sharing this video. I have a question on how exactly this theory prevent cyber crimes and how is it used as the technique for the investigation by the fraud investigators?
Hi Margit at @CriminologyWeb Quick question: How can I link my current professional career degree in IT with criminology and criminal justice. After binge-watching your videos and doing some research, it piqued my interest to a drastic degree.
It seems that routine activities theory focus too much on the victim side of an offence, which would make more sense in property crimes and sexual crimes, as the motivation of these crimes is apparent. But for violent crimes like domestic homicide, more emphasis should be placed on the offender side since the motivation is not always obvious and should be analyzed thoroughly before coming to the final conclusion.
A really clear and straightforward explanation of RAT.

Esperando pacientemente e em estado de low energy a hora de "sumir".
Low guardianship, apesar de eu mesma não ser o "valuable", não de verdade.
Target hardening makes it more difficult for offenders to carry out crimes.
Yes, that's what situational crime prevention agrees with
