Really love watching all Plant interviews. One of my musical heros, I am a Led Zeppelin fanatic, since the age of 14 discovering them in the late 80's. Anything with the members as a band or solo is on my top list
Never seen so many comments from women in praise of a man as this comments section. As a straight single man in his 50s I should be envious but the fact is I love Robert for his music and what he's always represented, freedom of expression. He deserves all the good things that come his way
That's because he lives in the mind and spiritual world, much more than in the physical one, which is a whole nother ball game! I can understand what Bobby is saying, yet cannot comprehend any god damned verse in the bible@!!$#$&^$...go figure...It is lyrics in music versus verses in the bible, Satan vs the bible gods, what rock and classical music are all about. If you are a natural spirit, the meanings will be translated in dreams.
To lay to rest the debate about the actual date of this, I was there and still have the flyer. “A Midsummer Night’s Tube” 22nd June 1982. The sound wasn’t great so the gig was never aired. As someone has already commented, Roger Taylor was on drums, unannounced.
To hazor777 and everyone else saying that this clip is from 1985... it's not, it's from 1982, just as the uploader says it is. *Plant* talks about how "crucial" his next album is and that by March or April the next year he would take the band on the road... which he did, in August of 1983. And to hazor777 claiming to be such a *Plant* expert... *The Honeydrippers* album/EP was released in September 1984... Yeesh...
Dr Death Agreed. The Honeydrippers formed in 1981 and they mention "Pictures at Eleven" as the latest album. He'd had a further three releases by 1985 (two solo albums, one EP with the Honeydrippers).
I was at the famous "secret" Honeydrippers gig on 11 March 1981 at the Keele Easter Ball. (Not 9 March which has become mythologised as the date of that gig. I kept a daily diary at that time.) Room 14 in the Keele Union only held c100 people. I was very lucky to see the gig. I let a roadie go ahead of me in the bar queue - so he tipped me off that Plant's special, secret gig was due to start shortly. It was good. Better than Dr Feelgood, the main event that night.
JB's - what a venue ~ Newki B, sweat and advanced Jimmy the Con avoidance techniques whilst catching the tail end of a "doobie". And the amazing artists that have played there as well. There's a great book about JB's history which is well worth a look
The correct date for the Keele Uni gig is March 10, 1981. Press reports were published in Melody Maker (20 Mar - 2 Apr 81) & New Musical Express (28 Mar 81). Also listed as March 10, 1981 in Dave Lewis' Led Zeppelin - The Concert File book. Perhaps Cliff Hilliard has a ticket stub?
Blocks - it really was on Wednesday 11 March 1981, not 9th or 10th (reported mistakenly by folk who weren't there). My diary entries state that I went to the Union General Meeting (UGM) on the 9th (UGM's were always on Mondays) and that I went to the Union for a drink after "hard work" Tuesday 10th. I wrote those two entries on 10th - ink colour changes from 11th on. For 11th I report that I went to the ball, saw Dr Feelgood (headline) and Robert Plant (secret gig). 100% sure but no stub!
HAZOR777 YOU ARE WRONG MY FRIEND, IT IS DEFINITELY 1982. THE HONEYDRIPPERS FIRST STARTED GIGGING IN 1981, I KNOW BECAUSE I SAW MANY OF THEIR SHOWS. I PERSONALLY RECORDED THIS VIDEO OFF CHANNEL 4 IN 1982. LIKE YOU SAID, "ONLY TRUE PLANT FANS KEEP UP WITH THIS KIND OF SHIT".
its amazing how good he looks here, and how much older he looked at the concert for kampuchea(1979). maybe his shorter hair makes him look younger, but plant looked bloated and burned out in 79.
Time is a lie and nothing at all like you think, yes and no, a combo. A minute for me may be 5 for someone else and vice versa. Sometimes when I am enjoying myself, the time moves slowly and vice versa. I want more time when i feel happy, not less.

You knew the LZ Era was over for sure....Robert's hair was shorter, clothes were stylish and he gave numerous interviews.
LOVE THAT BLUE COLOR ON HIM HANDSOME MAN ❤
WHAT A HANDSOME MAN ✊🏾

Aquele homem, aquele sorriso, aqueles olhos, aquele carisma, aquele cabelo, aquela alma, faz-me derreter. Amo-te Robert❤
anche io lo amo.
Is it possible to be in love with someone you've never met? I know this may sound weird but he's such a babe!
I'm a 49 year old woman, and I absolutely adore everything about him from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet!!!😋💋🔥💥🤟
He’s straight John.
Of course it is.
He was
Good Lord he was fine!
Красивый голубой костюм. А я в 1982 ходила в розовом, потому что родила дочь Олю.
I don't know what the fuck he's talking about but, don't ya just love his accent!

Que lindo te queda ese saco mi amor.
My wife and I were in the audience for this and Roger Taylor was on drums but Planty pulled it.
Woah is there any video for this??
Woah really? Is there any video of some sort
The intro was indulgent.
wow this is so cool to get to se other TV networks that we couldn't see here, with stars like Plant,, thanx for posting

This indeed was August of 1982. I was at that JB's Dudley show in the front row!

JB's .. was an awesome place, shame the original venue closed.

Wow. The music is Jeff Beck's Star Cycle.
Ironic! He was in the Honey drippers with Jeff Beck, right?

1982 100% definite.
Love the blue suit!
@hazor777
There's Twisted Sister and some other videos on my channel from The Tube, so go find 'em. Cheers, Block

This guy knows his 80's... Seems legit

Is that Jools Holland doing the interview?
It’s so weird seeing him in this context. Him having no idea what he will accomplish in the next 40 years
So cute but hopefully he quit smoking.
H did.
Brian May at 0:20!!!!
Those state troopers were put in place to make sure Led Zeppelin showed up to work, and nothing less.
Wheres allison zzzz
He doesn’t seem at all like the golden god right here
The graphics on this clip are too advanced for 1982. They look more like 1985.
He didn't age very well. Still has a great voice. Different from the old days.....but still terrific
He looks fine as he’s aged. Wouldn’t kick him out of bed for cracker crumbs! Lol
He looks as he did with Led Zeppelin in 1979. Watch Knebworth 1979, you'll see he looks the same.
It’s the cigarettes
By the time he reached 35 he looked 10 years older
@@keithmccall5170His son's death changed him, Im actually quite sure about that.Inner sadness can make you look older.

His kid died. All of my love.
Played football with Rod Stewart.
Pre mullet
he looked really bad here. hard to believe he was a sex symbol at all.

Supersexy, georgeous
I'm a woman, and I think he looks BEAUTIFUL!!!❤💋🔥💥
