I rule is if you have kids and/or pets, make sure you keep your knives and other sharp things out of their reach so that they can’t hurt themselves and teach them the importance of why they have to get an adult to do anything that requires such materials.

The only rule i folliw is rule 2. I always get comfortable with how the knife opens and closes so it becomes second nature.
