i agree skincare first over makeup! most days i don't wear makeup but i always have a skincare routine!
For some reason it makes me rly anxious when ppl put a headband on and leave some hair in their forehead or leave it down or some ppl put it in a loose ponytail without a headband and pull prices of hair out around their face , like wth put it all up 🤦🏼♀️😂
Kathryn Maria calm down it’s not that serious 💀💀
No no... Its not weird.
I get it.
I g e t it.
what makes me anxious is grown women wearing headbands with kitty cat ears on them. Not losing any sleep over it, I just don’t get the trend, not if you are over age 15, anyway.
She had written a book about " Skincare of Korean " I love it. I'm from Vietnam. Love you 😍😎😋
Thanks Charlotte,
I'm really enjoying my K beauty routine thanks to all of your great videos and products from Soko Glam. Not only am I seeing real results, I seriously find these products more affordable than the high end products I've used over the years. ❤
Charlotte, you have beautiful skin, so plump and poreless. You’re so right about the neck. Very wise young woman. Many congrats on your new line. So exciting! Loved seeing your routine. Thank you!
I love love LOVE your book! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!
I'm a K beauty girl for life!😍😎 Love watching your videos! They truly are a inspiration!😊🤗
My routine is innisfree rosewater as my toner, missha time revolution essence, lemon bio peel, panda mask sheets, white truffle stick for my eyes, mizon snail sleeping pack! Great video Charlotte :D
This was really informative!! Loved this!
I love the way you talk.. So elegant, informative and cute. Thank you! so proud that you are Korean!
Amazing and relaxing video. As always, amazing job Ms. Cho! Keep up the amazing work.
Charlotte Cho ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍love her!!! She is my idol
I am so glad you mention the neck in every video. I ALWAYS ALWAYS include my neck in my facial routine. I have seen multiple Korean falles doing their facial routines, and they don’t bother to do anything with heir necks. And l’m always thinking...what about your neck?
And washing and treating it feels so good! My neck is tighter since doing full skincare on it.
hyperpigmentation? what hyperpigmentation? her skin completely flawless already!
Peach & lily has really good products for hyperpigmentation 👌🏻 It is on the pricey side though.
U r so beautiful!!! Thank u for a great informative video!!
omg your skin is sooo gorgeous!!
Love your attention to detail in this video, Charlotte!
My skin-type is sensitive and normal-to-dry nighttime routine as of late includes:
Manyo Factory Pure Cleansing Oil
The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur Foam Cleanser
Klairs Supple Preparation Toner
Lee Ji Ham Tea Tree Essence
Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb
Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum
Cosrx PHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream OR Olivarrier Dual Moist Comfort Cream
love this one!
Wow Charlotte thanks for taking us through detailed and informative steps! You seem so sweet I hope to meet you one day :) and thank you Byrdie for collaborating, making, and sharing.
Quick question, how do you rinse your neck without getting water everywhere or down your shirt?
Honestly i wear a tank top and when I cleanse I usually rub from my face all the way down to my neck, and when I rinse, I rinse from the bottom of my neck up to my face like pushing the water up and towards the sink (not down, so the water won’t trickle down your chest as much). Hope that made sense!!
Hack! Wear ponytail scrunches on ur wrist to catch some water ..... water can get everywhere.....
I told a towel on my chest. I clean all the way down to my décolletage.
Sometimes I use a soft, wet washcloth to rinse my neck/décolletage.
washcoth!
I learned about soko glam and Korean skincare routine from this video. I always had bad skin and this video changed ma life (I know...I sound mad cheesy). The regimen (not all 10 steps cause too expensive) and k face masks are the shitzu!
ur voice is so relaxing.I feel like Im listening to my mom.lol😁😁😁
I believe the Moringa Cleansing Balm is a product of Enature, not Etude House?
gorgeous skin
Those cat ears 😻 she is so freakin adorable
Just a little correction...the oil cleanser is from E Nature not Etude House. 😉
Yes! I accidentally said Etude House - lol! Thanks,
Charlotte
Can you please make a video on how to use the starter kit?
Great video
i would like to know where can i find hanskin products in korea sokoglam
*to keep it from oxidizing you mean? 8:02
I would appreciate if you could provide us the list of products you used.
Don't you need to use vitamin C right after cleansing or exfoliating for maximum efficacy since it's PH dependent?
At 8:04, I think Charlotte meant that she keeps the vitamin C in the fridge so that it *doesn’t* oxidise (as quickly as it would at room temperature)
Tommy Nguyen I've bought 3 bottles from different brands (all Koreans) and they all ha oxidice so quickly (kept in the brigde). Wonder if it's the Kbrands or any brand...
giofu7 I’ve only bought one from cosrx and it oxidised after 2 months 😭😭 I stored mine in a cool place in my room away from the bathroom
Yes, I meant doesn't! Thanks for catching that! - Charlotte
where did you get your nails done?????????
Are all the products you used safe for acne prone skin? I don't want to clog my pores.
Could anyone tell me where she got her headband from? pls pls pls it's so cute
How does one get on with ear cleaning because I see you don't use a flannel or basic soap
Just got into Korean skin care. What products are best stored in the fridge/room temp? Thanks
Vitamin c ones!
Is it okay for me to put my beautify products in the refrigerator? I keep most of them in there, including my sheet masks
No. The only thing that should be on the fridge it would be something to depuff the eyes. Products work best when they are in the more or less same temperature that your skin
Hi! Can you provide links for the products??
Hi Mindy, you can shop all the products here: byrdie.us/HsuRnYs
Hello ms. Charlotte, I heard you mentioned on this video "milia". Is there any korean product I can treat milia with? Hope you can answer, I know it's been 2 years since you posted this video but I really hope you do. Thank youu
No, unfortunately you can't treat milia by yourself. You need to see a doctor.
Aren't serum and essence the same thing
can i use witch hazel as toner? and is it okay to spray it on face and leave it there or do i have to put it on a cotton pad?
It's pretty drying it's more of an astringent u wouldn't recommend it and I have oily skin. I've been using the acwell licorice pH balancing toner and it's a dream!
You have beautiful skin. Love Korean skin care routines, and my dry, sensitive skin loves esp. essences and sheet masks! The only problem is my over sensitive eyes; I can't use oil cleansers at all :/ I have to use Bioderma or Talika Eye Remover and Hadalabo Hyaluron cleansing foam. Do you have any oil free cleanser recs..? And what lip care you use?
You don't need to buy these balms and other products that incorporate so many other ingredients. You could simply just use Jojoba Oil for your oil cleanse step. I think a mixture of Jojoba, Camelia and Aegean oils are fantastic mixtures for an oil cleanser. Otherwise, simply Jojoba oil will do the trick. Follow the Jojoba oil with an extra mild, non foaming cleanser. I hope that helps.
laneige lip sleeping mask is really good
@@sopheeeyah yep agreed i love the lip mask. I have the original berry one
Ps, how does one buy your book and your line? Thanks Charlotte.
Online at Amazon and her line is on the net. Check Google for it.🙂
The Etude House moistfull emulsion doesn't give you breakouts??
Nicola Dsouza I broke out from it but I figured it was bc it had a fragrance and it was too heavy for the summer, I'm using it again for the fall and I haven't had any problems yet!
Nichichan oh ok . Was just wondering. I guess it’s safer to use it in the cooler months . Thanks.
GENTLY
can you pretty please list the products you used in this video...such a wonderful video thank you! 😊
Sara anne it’s in the description box, the link. Also there’s a code:ipsters you can use to save 20% off - ✨
@@dnizelizi cant find anything in the link just text she is talking
Please do a shipping in Philippines! 😭😭 Would really love to try your beginner kit.
Probably cheaper to get from Korea
I shop at althea korea and dara beauty market here in PH.
When you have so many layers of products on, doesn't it hamper the absorption of newer products?
Is an oil based cleanser or cleansing balm necessary if you don’t/hardly wear makeup?
Nishara W Cleansing oil will take off everything that sits on top of your skin, also sunscreen, dust and sebum for example
no u dont need an oil based cleanser. the two step cleansing is a marketing tactic. surfactants are created to take away both oil and water so any cleanser with gentle surfactants will do.
bbappzz98 I wouldn't say it's only a marketing thing. I started double cleansing three months ago. I used to have a nose full of blackheads, they're almost all gone now without doing anything else specifically. So it DOES make a difference, on my skin at least.
mmn, have you tried using only an oil cleanser without a water based cleanser when you need to double cleanse? and maybe the reason your skin feels better is because your former cleanser was more harsh and left a tight feeling? (so your skin overcompensated with oil). i call it a marketing tactic because even if you wanted an oil to cleanse, you could use a normal oil and go in with a water based cleanser afterwards or just used a oil/balm cleanser without using a water based cleanser. it's personal choice to double cleanse, double cleansing is not necessary to remove sunscreen or makeup unless you wear heavy, full-face makeup because a normal cleanser would remove sunscreen and light makeup. in the case of the original question, a normal cleanser will remove sunscreen, dust and sebum so one cleanser is fine.
bbappzz98 hey could you recommend any ?
What do you think of face massaging?
On the contrary, you have to press and move your skin while massaging, rather than pressing onto your skin and leaving everything at the same place. Please let me know what are your thoughts! :)
Do we need to rinse after using exfoliating toner?
No, toners are designed to stay on your skin.
Depends on what brand you use.. I recommend to ALWAYS read the instruction provided on the packaging
Regarding the neogen pads... Arent niacinamide and vitamin C not supposed to mix
Depends on the percentage of the actives.
This is false and has been debunked. It is safe to use vitamin c and niacinamide products in the same routine :-) they won’t interfere with each other or irritate your skin
If I wanted to add a sheet mask to this routine at what point would I use one?
Paula Landa At the essence step. After toner, before serum.
after the toner
a lot of youtuber say different steps - some after toner, some after everything else... I usually read the instructions of the sheet mask itself, and it does say AFTER toner :)
You are really look like a new to teen teenager😂😘
Etude house cleansing balm????????? isnt that Enature?
Who has time for all steps?
As much as I love the lighting VitaminC serum, it oxidize so fast even though I keep it in my fridge all day 😭
Have you noticed a considerable difference after using it? I have hyperpigmentation and have been looking for an affordable Vit C serum for a while
It does even out my skin tone but i hasnt notice any change for my acne scar. But Vitamin C does work differently for ppl so maybe you should try it :) this is the only one on the market that does not break me out.
Perhaps you'll want to consider a pure L-Ascorbic Acid serum that uses Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E as stabilizers instead. The aforementioned antioxidants have been scientifically proven to not only aid in the effectiveness of Vitamin C but they also act to strengthen and stabilize it. If you use a serum that contains L-Ascorbic Acid, then you'll want to find one that consists of a percentage of at least 15%. SkinCeuticals is the pioneer of Vitamin C serums, but their serum will cost you $165 USD. A brand called Cosmetic Skincare Solutions actually replicated SkinCeuticals' product at the fraction of the cost at about $40. I would recommend looking into Drunk Elephant's C-Firma Serum which also uses 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, 1% Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. Drunk Elephant incorporated a lot of other ingredients that act to soothe and protect the skin. D.E.'s serum will cost you $80. I honestly think that D.E.'s serum will be a fantastic addition to a K-Beautify skincare routine because it eliminates a lot of the irritants found in other serums. Clean, irritant free and effective products are all main principles in K-Beauty skincare, so I feel it's a perfect match. I hope that helps.
The Ordinary has a great one. It's gritty, though, so mix it with a water lotion to activate it.
basically, vit c serums that comes with the dropper packaging is easy to oxidize. I have tried a lot of it that's on the market. What i can suggest is buying vitamin c sheet masks. its just serum but since its packed so it doesnt oxidize. Wishtrend has a really good one called Pure Vitamin C 21.5 sheet mask
beautiful skin, have you heard of hada labo cream? I really like it.
SMG1234 G I discovered hada labo in a recent trip to japan and it is the best!! Everything from lotion, moisturizer, essence, spf etc. The whole brand is amazing!
Love Hada Labo too, esp. Hyaluron Lotion and Essence :)
Maria lopez Japanese skin care is just as best if not even better than Korean skincare/makeup products. Seriously, I've tried both for years! I suggest we use both at the sane time, the best of Korea and the best of Japan
Hada Labo has good eye cream too! (:
giofu7 What Japanese brands do you recommend? Also websites that ship them internationally?
I would be so disappointed, if she didn’t introduced the 10-Step Korean skin care 😶
Hi, I don't understand why you are rinsing off your actives/chemical exfoliator? they are meant to be a stay on treatment
I don't understand the point of a toner, I was just going to buy a good essence
Autumn Faith toner gives ph balance back to your skin
For dry, sensitive and flaky skin, is there a hybrid product? For example a toner that can also be an essence? I just want to save money 😫 also, could anyone recommend a night time mask? I always wake up to dry flaky skin even though I moisturise my face the night before 😭😭
essxyou xo laneige water sleeping mask
Whamisa deep rich toner acts a lot like a essence despite its name
Vichy 89 sold at Walgreens do a sheet mask then follow with a serum + night cream of choice. Buy a face mist to spritz throughout the day to keep hydrated
the pyung kang yul toner essence! and its so affordable
What about the back of the neck? I don't see people cleaning that area.
It is called shower 🤣
How can I know my skin type?
Go on the soko glam site ,before you could buy any products on the site they will ask you if you want to take a quiz so that you may know your skin type and your concern .in the quiz they will ask you a few question about your skin,
or you can take an appointment with an specialist on the soko glam site .they will provide you ,you have to fill up a form
There is a very simple and easy way to figure out your skin type. Wash your face with water and let yoir skin relax for an hour or two. If you are not shiny and have dry patches you are dry. If you have some moderate oil on your t zone but no where else you are combination. If you are shiny everywhere with a lot if sebum then you are oily. Hope this helps.
I have two big milia bumps on my eyelid from using snail eye cream, how do i get rid of milia?
iheartvintage7 I believe exfoliating will help
@@ericcabrock9 A BHA exfoliant
Nope go to a dermatologist n have it professionally removed...
I love a lot of those products but that neogen spray serum was a huge let down. Wish I had looked at the ingredients before buying, it's full of alcohol and damaging fragrant essential oils. How is that going to hydrate your skin?? Same for the Hanskin brightening essence, one of the main ingredients was alcohol, and not the good kind.
hnljojoilbvtgfyvgub Vichy 89 serum Walgreens works wonders
Green tea seed serum works great
Is the vitamin C serum vegan? Does it contain any animal derived ingredients?
Hey! Yes, the Cosrx Vitamin C serum is vegan :)
John
Uhhh the price point? Sokoglam jacks up the prices for k products 500x lol you're better off buying directly from korean based sites
wimbletone Amazon is a good option
Oh yeah and amazon too
Hi! Sorry to hear you think that. We work directly with all the Korean brands, so they set the US MSRP, and not Soko Glam. Please keep in mind there are FDA registration, shipment from Korea to US, taxes and fees that go into importing products to the US!
While I agree with you...sometimes on Amazon the products are fake depending on the seller. And sokoglam I find gives free samples too.
chrisak49 yea, I hear many people say you need to be wary of fakes on Amazon. I've never experienced receiving a fake so I tend to feel confident shopping there. I did send my friend a link tho to one of Sokoglam's personalized skin type kits. I like that SokoGlam offers travel sizes because you can't really find those elsewhere
You are so beautiful 😍 I really wonder how old are you?
S al she’s probably in her 40’s
She’s 35
How old are you
She’s 35
Blimey all those products would cost a fortune and you would probably age a few years by the time you’ve finished applying them all. 😮
April Lane not even
did no one else see the cap move at 5:56
I didnt, but thats probably from the water
I saw but I thought my eyes were playing tricks 🤣
That happens because of water on the counter.
Oh yes I see.
Waitt omg how did she become an esthaticion
Korean beauty 😂
most stuff is about whitening. but I don't like getting even more white I'm already pale. korean beauty is a lot about getting rid of tan ?
Instead of getting rid of the tan, it’s more like getting rid of the dullness of skin. I’d say majority of korean skincare is aimed towards brightening which I wouldn’t necessarily say it would make you paler, it just provides you with a healthier, brightened skin.
It's really not about making the skin white, but adding in brightness so that the skin looks and feels healthy and youthful. Our skin is exposed to so much, mainly the sun, and acne is something that affects a lot of people. Using vitamin c or any "whitening product" is really just brightening the skin and slowly working at erasing sun spots and post inflammatory hyper pigmentation or redness
whitening are different from brightening. for asian skin care brightening means enhancing your skin's glow and not bleaching
Excellent...your face gets all of the pollution.....treat it well
you shouldn’t be mixing niacinamide with vitamin C in the same routine tho
please, stop saying GENTLY
Soko Glam is very dishonest when it comes to their return policy, and their customer service is horrible. Buyer Beware!!
Thank you! It's also a total rip-off.
her eyelids look fake..like she put a tape or something
When it starts with "it smells good" i just stop watching. Sorry no parfume for me, even it is a wash off!
good for you lol not everyone is so sensitive to perfume
