      what makes me anxious is grown women wearing headbands with kitty cat ears on them. Not losing any sleep over it, I just don’t get the trend, not if you are over age 15, anyway.

    Quick question, how do you rinse your neck without getting water everywhere or down your shirt?

    • @sony9705
      @sony9705 5 років тому +24

      Honestly i wear a tank top and when I cleanse I usually rub from my face all the way down to my neck, and when I rinse, I rinse from the bottom of my neck up to my face like pushing the water up and towards the sink (not down, so the water won’t trickle down your chest as much). Hope that made sense!!

The only problem is my over sensitive eyes; I can't use oil cleansers at all :/ I have to use Bioderma or Talika Eye Remover and Hadalabo Hyaluron cleansing foam. Do you have any oil free cleanser recs..? And what lip care you use?

    • @ER__783
      @ER__783 6 років тому +2

      You don't need to buy these balms and other products that incorporate so many other ingredients. You could simply just use Jojoba Oil for your oil cleanse step. I think a mixture of Jojoba, Camelia and Aegean oils are fantastic mixtures for an oil cleanser. Otherwise, simply Jojoba oil will do the trick. Follow the Jojoba oil with an extra mild, non foaming cleanser. I hope that helps.

    • @sunnyunnie3225
      @sunnyunnie3225 6 років тому +7

      Nishara W Cleansing oil will take off everything that sits on top of your skin, also sunscreen, dust and sebum for example

    • @bbappzz98
      @bbappzz98 6 років тому

      no u dont need an oil based cleanser. the two step cleansing is a marketing tactic. surfactants are created to take away both oil and water so any cleanser with gentle surfactants will do.

    • @sunnyunnie3225
      @sunnyunnie3225 6 років тому +11

      bbappzz98 I wouldn't say it's only a marketing thing. I started double cleansing three months ago. I used to have a nose full of blackheads, they're almost all gone now without doing anything else specifically. So it DOES make a difference, on my skin at least.

    • @bbappzz98
      @bbappzz98 6 років тому

      mmn, have you tried using only an oil cleanser without a water based cleanser when you need to double cleanse? and maybe the reason your skin feels better is because your former cleanser was more harsh and left a tight feeling? (so your skin overcompensated with oil). i call it a marketing tactic because even if you wanted an oil to cleanse, you could use a normal oil and go in with a water based cleanser afterwards or just used a oil/balm cleanser without using a water based cleanser. it's personal choice to double cleanse, double cleansing is not necessary to remove sunscreen or makeup unless you wear heavy, full-face makeup because a normal cleanser would remove sunscreen and light makeup. in the case of the original question, a normal cleanser will remove sunscreen, dust and sebum so one cleanser is fine.

      Perhaps you'll want to consider a pure L-Ascorbic Acid serum that uses Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E as stabilizers instead. The aforementioned antioxidants have been scientifically proven to not only aid in the effectiveness of Vitamin C but they also act to strengthen and stabilize it. If you use a serum that contains L-Ascorbic Acid, then you'll want to find one that consists of a percentage of at least 15%. SkinCeuticals is the pioneer of Vitamin C serums, but their serum will cost you $165 USD. A brand called Cosmetic Skincare Solutions actually replicated SkinCeuticals' product at the fraction of the cost at about $40. I would recommend looking into Drunk Elephant's C-Firma Serum which also uses 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, 1% Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. Drunk Elephant incorporated a lot of other ingredients that act to soothe and protect the skin. D.E.'s serum will cost you $80. I honestly think that D.E.'s serum will be a fantastic addition to a K-Beautify skincare routine because it eliminates a lot of the irritants found in other serums. Clean, irritant free and effective products are all main principles in K-Beauty skincare, so I feel it's a perfect match. I hope that helps.

      basically, vit c serums that comes with the dropper packaging is easy to oxidize. I have tried a lot of it that's on the market. What i can suggest is buying vitamin c sheet masks. its just serum but since its packed so it doesnt oxidize. Wishtrend has a really good one called Pure Vitamin C 21.5 sheet mask

      There is a very simple and easy way to figure out your skin type. Wash your face with water and let yoir skin relax for an hour or two. If you are not shiny and have dry patches you are dry. If you have some moderate oil on your t zone but no where else you are combination. If you are shiny everywhere with a lot if sebum then you are oily. Hope this helps.

    I love a lot of those products but that neogen spray serum was a huge let down. Wish I had looked at the ingredients before buying, it's full of alcohol and damaging fragrant essential oils. How is that going to hydrate your skin?? Same for the Hanskin brightening essence, one of the main ingredients was alcohol, and not the good kind.

      Hi! Sorry to hear you think that. We work directly with all the Korean brands, so they set the US MSRP, and not Soko Glam. Please keep in mind there are FDA registration, shipment from Korea to US, taxes and fees that go into importing products to the US!

      chrisak49 yea, I hear many people say you need to be wary of fakes on Amazon. I've never experienced receiving a fake so I tend to feel confident shopping there. I did send my friend a link tho to one of Sokoglam's personalized skin type kits. I like that SokoGlam offers travel sizes because you can't really find those elsewhere

    most stuff is about whitening. but I don't like getting even more white I'm already pale. korean beauty is a lot about getting rid of tan ?

    • @salt9986
      @salt9986 6 років тому +19

      Instead of getting rid of the tan, it’s more like getting rid of the dullness of skin. I’d say majority of korean skincare is aimed towards brightening which I wouldn’t necessarily say it would make you paler, it just provides you with a healthier, brightened skin.

    • @SashaKhripkova
      @SashaKhripkova 6 років тому +7

      It's really not about making the skin white, but adding in brightness so that the skin looks and feels healthy and youthful. Our skin is exposed to so much, mainly the sun, and acne is something that affects a lot of people. Using vitamin c or any "whitening product" is really just brightening the skin and slowly working at erasing sun spots and post inflammatory hyper pigmentation or redness
