Please tell me how I can get a ticket on your aircraft when you plan to make a takeoff like this! As long as I know it is coming, I'll be prepared to hold my martini so as to minimize spillage. Ha... Furthermore, when the mains do make contact that has the other passengers sighing in relief, my popularity really takes a hit when I shout, "Let's do it again!" At first, I thought I was experiencing déjà vu inside of déjà vu. I’m joking! Thank-you for your impromptu tribute to Thomas Cook. Actually, I am very empathetic towards those having a sense of lament over its bankruptcy. I experienced the same sort of sadness in the past when the most popular large airlines suddenly found themselves bankrupt and/or absorbed into another carrier. As an American, my first astonishment came when Northeast Airlines went under. Subsequently, there were Pan American, Trans World, and Eastern Airlines that all faded into history. What really bothered me was this tremendous merge of US Air, Northwest, and Continental into American, Delta, and United Airlines respectively. As competition declines, so does passenger service. At least within the United States, passengers share the blame somewhat. It seems as if they would prefer traveling on a milking stool instead of paying a few more dollars to fly in comfort. For those interested in a concise yet very informative video on what occurred with Thomas Cook and its impact on the industry (the video is about 15 minutes long), “Mentour Pilot” pilot does a very good job: ua-cam.com/video/lOUD3A6mjM8/v-deo.html . AirBorn Media Hi The First Officer is trying to get in touch, is it possible to get the take off from the start of the clip? Or can we get in touch via email. As it was his last day flight for Thomas cook. Great video and the Music is spot on
Sort of. The initial pull leaves you at about 150kts with a reducing speed. Once back to around 135, just lower the nose to maintain a safe climb speed.
Bellissimo why is Captain retiring when Virgin asking for exceptional Pilots. This Guy sure is one I think he maybe even could have Overruled the Max Micas instead of it overruling the Pilots he’s one skilful Guy ill fly any day with him even as a nervous flyer. 🇬🇧👨✈️👩✈️✈️🤦🏼♀️💗
Captain probably retiring due to age? And all he did was rotate like a normal plane but because it’s empty and much lighter he has to pitch up more than normal to maintain correct speed for takeoff thrust (or maybe he TOGA’d it). And don’t assume he could save the MAX. He’s an airbus trained pilot, not a 737 pilot
TC Scandinavia & Germany ( condor )& TC Balearics are all still flying. I think the Thomas Cook brand name should be dropped now , its reputation is so badly damaged. They should all adopt the Condor brand.
suspect the pilot has had very little experience flying an empty plane, the fact he allowed the nose to rise, then you can see it rise again to such a high angle at take off tells me he wasn't ready for how responsive it would be.
@@AirBornMedia Isn't 28 degrees risky too? By the way, I always wonder what kind of stall warnings are available for pilots. Can you please suggest some sources or shed some light on this? Thanks and cheers.
Really odd how they went bust, just think how much money runs through their hands every year. Ok a lot of outlay but also a lot of customers that can’t wait to spend £8 for 2 x 330ml of Stella on the plane!!!
