Hi Dzan, Do you know how to use the real curtain wall extrusions in making custom curtain wall panel?

you can start with the profile.rte template file. Go to Categories and specify it as a mullion profile. Create a closed loop sketch for your custom mullion. Load that into the project and swap the families...

does this adapt to a curtain wall with an angular profile edge?

as long as you sketch the angle lines and constrain them properly, it should work. Another alternative is to use the adaptive component curtain pattern based families

@@DzanTa can you point to me to a video that shows the sketch line approach. I already found your adaptive component curtain wall approach, so thanks for that.
But to give more depth, I have modeled an actual wall panel this wall has many extrusions, so when I change the wall profile to something else than a rectangle, Revit deletes the type and places a default glazing.

@@beto008 that usually means your curtain wall profile is too complex of a sketch. You can try to make a more simple profile and go from there.

@@DzanTa not sure if I communicated it well. But the wall profile is a simple trapezium with the angle side being the top one. I wish I could send a screenshot haha.
