I like this band, and this dude reminds me so much of Will Scheff, which is weird cause his name is Will too. Plus I really like Will Oldham. Plus my name is Will. My narcissism is unmatched. Call yourself Will and I will like your music.
Lmao I remember almost his entire discogs worth of lyrics (but that's probably from listening to an unreasonable amount of CSH, something he probably doesn't do)
I adore this band/lone singer. My all time favorite track by him is Boxing Day from Nervous Young Man. It is my second favorite song of all time. I love how the bass is so evident. Car Seat Headrest is my favorite artist/group that currently calls my state of Washington home.
The first track from minutes 9.36 to 10.20 is probably the greatest bit of indie pop never to come out of the early 90's. I especially like the bass players harmonies. He even looks like he came from the period.
will's skin is so smooth. i really liked this set, the choice of dramamine at the start was brilliant. i hope their next release is more in line with that style of his, teens of style felt like a step back to the numbers (3 was great)
I was a bit overwhelmed with all their Bandcamp releases (or Will's work for it what it's credited) and did not hear of the group till their major release. I just added your recommended video to my watch later, thank you.
Let's see.... the first time I saw them it was a 3 piece band and they played a half empty 150 seat bar.... next time they were a 4 piece band playing a mostly full 300 seater.... seeing them again this Friday at a 1000 seat venue that the now 7 piece band sold out in 30 minutes... yup... unheard of soon....
Try to listen at the same time at the Ending of Dramamine and 16-Macbeth (From Macbeth original soundtrack). I swear it is the best mix I ever heard. God ...All you do is start 'em sychronized!
First impression? (never seen before this group) made me go back in time at the beginning of this video thinking first shows of The Cure, the drummer got the same expression of tolhurst in A Forest's videoclip? :)
It's so nice of Will to make time for KEXP on the same day as his first communion
whatever how they want to look or dress, dont you listen ?

my 18 year old cousin in college running a radio show sent me a link to this band.... i love the new millennium

DAMN. That full-band version of The Ending of Dramamine.
Yeah, I've long thought the same, and I wouldn't mind a studio re-recording since they've done the same for some older tracks.
Andrew Katz on the "buh buh" in 'Times to Die' is incredible.
The way the band secretly puts in Station To Station in The intro of The Ending Of Dramamine is incredible
i know i’m late but ethan honey you’re doing great
i know I'm late but damn he really is

He looks like he was in their "Vincent" video
Just came from the office
Such a fun set to watch, it looks like they had fun with it too.

I listen to these guys an awful lot. Great performance!
at the beginning andrew's face was like "okkkk let's get excited to do this one loop for the next 15 minutes"
I love these guys. They keep their influences close to home but also keep things their own.
Cheryl Waters and I like the same music.

best music in recent years

the ending of dramamine always get me chills, love the guitar replacing the synths.
Rehearsed but still so RAWH. And love how well they communicate with each other. Glad to see emotionally intelligent musicians ❤

The Ending of Dramamine sounds weird with guitar in place of the synths

had my doubts at the start but it really kicks off around 4 min in! great stuff, very grungy, experimental punk sound.
Super excited to see them in St. Louis! I think I like the live arrangement of Dramamine even better than the original! A lot of power.

It's a shame this recording wasn't taken a month or so later, you can tell that Will's really nervous. The last 2 songs are solid though.
How is that Will constantly looks 11

The Strokes and Modest Mouse had a child and named it Car Seat Headrest.
