Podz isn't a bad player but doesn't fit Tocchet's system defensively for the amount of offense that he produces. Too late of a bloomer for a cup contending team as well. Smart move by the Nucks and best of luck with him in Oil country.
If he becomes a 40-50 goal scorer in Edmonton later on, then Oil fans hit the jackpot. Podz definitely wasn't gonna do that in Vancouver. Also, if he sucks you can't put him on waivers cuz you'll lose him for free...
@@bonedaddy95 He fits with the system better in Edmonton, it was a no brainer to trade him. The Canucks organization likely wont regret it as it was clear it wouldn't work in Vancouver. He will play better in Edmonton and will get more ice time so it's a win-win.
@@bonedaddy95 I don't want to discredit him though. He seems to be doing great in Edmonton and I wish him the best, clearly more confidence in his game.
If you Like players that will not play defence anfd can not get along with their team mates then he is all yours. Tocchet gave him multiple chances but he just does not get it The Canucks are better off without nhim.
He's the reason Draisaitl is getting puck touches, he may even boast Draisaitl to a Rocket Richard with his Hyman like tenacity. You don't understand the dynamics on the ice.
Podkolzin so far has made a positive impact for the Oilers. It may not show up so much in goals, but his relentless, forechecking and defensive ability as a forward, is a welcome addition to Oil Country. Believe he just lacked confidence when he was a Canuck. Only time will tell, but so far he has made a good impression on the coach, star players and Oilers fans.
Podz isn't that great, but im sure hes glad to be out of van, laughing at van fans that think their contenders😂 Petey is a skronny perimeter player that the van based their future on haha

... are you saying the Canucks are a cup contending team?
@@robinhoodwinker8621 If they get their top players back and with some consistency then yes, but gonna need a top 4 D-man at trade deadline
canucks knew what he was dude.
??? Canucks fans love Pod, but his 200 ft game needs work and wasn't producing offensively even though he did work hard every game

Bro pod wasent doing good in our system last year that we traded him
@@msrs154 At this stage, Podz is a reclamation project. He might end up as a Zack Kassian type of player...
No, he really won't. I wish him the best though
ya he will, You obliviously haven't watched much oilers game, He has been playing very good. Just another sour Canucks fan.

He never once had issues w a teammate what’re u talking ab, one move I can say as a nucks fan was bad
