Dr. Will Halstead and the new trauma fellow Dr. Connor Rhodes butt heads when the latter pulls rank when it comes to treating patients. Pregnant pediatrician Dr. Natalie Manning reveals that her husband was killed during his tour of duty in Afghanistan. Medical student Sarah Reese's first days on rotation take an emotional toll on her.

At first she was alone, later she was with her husband. That might have something to do with the attitude change.

So, once you watch the full episode, you learn that this is the couple's last chance at having a kid and hence they're so apprehensive about getting the surgery done. That being said, Sharon manages to convince to have it done and the surgery had some hiccups along the way; however both the baby and surrogate mother come out safe.
Also, the guy at 0:11, a Cystic Fibrosis patient's condition deteriorates but another patient from accident who didn't make it is found to have to match his lung size requirements. Initially, the man's fiancee hesitates to give consent to do the transplant; however, Dr Charles and Dr Rhodes manage to convince her.
Thank you! Usually you can go online and get a complete recap of the episode a clip took place in but for some reason you can't with Chicago med. It's really annoying not knowing the outcome 😂

I find it a real pain because I live in England and it's really hard to watch them any where because they say about watching it on the website but I get not available in your country and the other places like Hulu can't be reached here and it's on sky but that costs a lot I'm probably going to buy the DVD box sets because it's the cheapest option.

Sharon tracks down Mrs. Donahue, the mother of the surrogate child. She sits down outside with her and tells her that she sympathizes with her situation and thinks she and her husband are not monsters, but people "facing a very tough decision". Mrs. Donahue asks her what she would do, and Sharon replies that she'd ask herself what she can live with. The couple decides to go through with the surgery; although the baby goes into distress midway through, they are able to stabilize its vitals. Both Gina and the baby come through fine, and Gina is seen waking up at the end of the episode with the Donahues by her bedside.

This is a nitpick but no, a few does not “mean three”. It means _at least_ three. A couple means exactly two, but a few can mean anything between 3 and like 10.

Y'all are going at the parents, but what if that was your unborn baby? What if that was your child that youve been planning to start a family with? Im not saying what theyre doing is right, but im just saying i get where theyre coming from.
I would do what was right for the woman, if she dies the baby dies anyway, and how could you live with yourself knowing you'd scrambled someones brain so your foetus could use another human as an incubator, the child would also have to live with that their entire life that's a heavy burden. I'd consent to the surgery and just hope my child survived too, any decent person would. You should always prioritise those who are already living over the unborn or we end up in some nightmarish handmaids tale scenario.

It's a foetus, not a baby. The woman is immediately more important. Another foetus can be made, the woman cannot be replaced.
