I'm bringing you along for a realistic art journey that is quite frankly, a disaster. A big thank you to Ohuhu for gifting these alcohol markers to test out. I had lots of fun trying markers for the first time and eventually, I think we figure them out...

This colour palette on the second portrait is EVERYTHING !! There’s definitely a learning curve, they’re so different to any other art supply! You did great 😊
They really are different, especially compared to paints 😬 thank you! The markers were fun and I think they have a lot of potential

I loved each of the portraits! I liked that idea of testing and trying in different drawings and see all the results. I also have alcohol markers but I've never blended them; I just use them loosely because they set my hand free every time I take them. But now, I'll try some blending 😄😆😁

Lmao. I didn't think they were bad 🤷♀ Maybe I'm out there doing bad blends because I "don't have the eye"
I find that most of my fineliners don’t smudge if I let them dry for a while before coloring. Some people recommend letting it dry over night, but I usually wait at least 5-10 minutes. I’ve had some smudging with micron and alcohol markers, but the Ohuhu fineliners works great with alcohol markers. I still let them dry for a couple of minutes before using the markers and haven’t had any issues 😊
overnight?? I don’t know about you but I don’t have that kind of patience haha 😂 I’ve only ever had cheap ones smudge but it has made me extra careful. Good tips! It’s interesting you say that as I have one micron and I wasn’t super impressed to be honest ❤️
@@ChantelleArts I have never had the patience to wait overnight 😂 An other tip is to use your fineliners on a scrap paper and test your medium on top, then you'll know if it smudges before you do a final artwork 😄

Alcohol markers are so tough!! I bought some Ohohu's a few months ago and they're so pretty but I find them so difficult still :,) Great video!
They really are, I wasn’t expecting it since I’ve seen so many people use them so easily and no one really struggle 🥺 they’re going to take a lot of getting used to, that’s for sure, we’ll get there in the end ❤️

I love alcohol markers, although I need to learn them more, as I have used them more for colouring than anything. They are so pretty. OMG I can't believe you have been sitting on the floor this whole time. I do sit at a desk but had drawers under it so I couldn't tuck in and my back KILLED. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it must have been for you. I hope you have proper dedicated space now.

Currently also experimenting trying to learn the Ohuhu markers out of watercolor. Your first drawing looks better than mine, hahaha!

Thank you, I’m glad you like it! I’m currently fortunate to be able to work full time towards this, but when you consider that I’m working pretty much non-stop every day, the growth hasn’t been reflecting that and it’s getting harder to keep up 🥺

My granddaughter always uses orange (like 22 or 23) for me even though I suggest potato brown (anywhere between 101 and 104 would be fine). I am black. She paints me even lighter than my husband who has a whole white grandfather.
