- Thought we'd share some basic tips and advice with any 4x4 rookies. Don't need to be a professional to go off-road but some standard equipment and knowledge will prepare you for just about any situation. Enjoy!
Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” - Авто та транспорт
I've watched almost all of your videos. It's great to see you guys evolve and learn from mistakes. Don't let the negative comments by keyboard warriors bother you. You guys are out there, enjoying the outdoors and learning new skills. We were all there at some point. so many props to you guys for putting yourselves out there and taking us with you on the journey.
You all seem like great blokes, having fun and not hurting anyone.
You make me laugh too.
Keep the vids coming
Salaam
You got recognised! Fans everywhere. Thanks for sharing.
Love the videos guys, please keep em coming!
Love the videos they have helped to inspire me to get an offroad dual cab and to explore our amazing country (when I'm old enough 😂)Keep up the good work!
Keep the vids up bro, great to see newer utes in a low modified state taking on the tracks
Another great video, much appreciated.
Great video yet again. So much enjoy your work. Just bought a new Triton dual cab partly because of your video's. Thanks and see you on the tracks.
Steve Collins that's great to hear mate congratulations. Hope to see you out there!
I can see you boys are improving well done keep it up.
'Bigger tyres' Yeah we all want them :) Nicely driven and sound advice.
One mod you'd seriously benefit from is a winch, the expense will easily pay for itself if you're not afraid to get out and use it. Winching is a great way to save damage and can be used to prevent rollover's as well.
Something that is more affordable is bead lockers, they will allow you to use even lower pressures without problems.
Like all 4bie owners though these things will come over time. My next mod is portal axles for that little extra lift, but here we have to have the gear box rebuilt and re-calibrate the speedometer to keep it road legal so it will be a while.
I love offroading. Good job guys
Love that you took your Bible Guys!! Subscribed!
You guys are awesome. Found your channel about a week ago, watching all your older vids now. You're Christians as well! How good can it get!?!
Great video great driving and great navigating skills well done guys
Great video guys. Excellent footage and editing. Good to see more dual cab Ute's out there wheeling amongst the sea of Patrols and Cruisers lol.
Michael Toomer thanks buddy we appreciate the comment. We're pretty fond of your channel alsp and enjoy what your doing with your ranger. Hopefully one day we will see you out there 👍
Adventure Australia I’m in Victoria but every now and again I come up to Sydney to visit friends and family.
I’m actually in Sydney this weekend. I’m heading out to Zig Zag today and tomorrow for the first time with a mate.
Good video, triton seems very capable with its current setup.
Hey guys. New subscriber to your channel. Love your attitude.. Great vid.
You should install a front auto locker. That's enough to be unstoppable. Cheers from Mexico. Love your videos.
Good stuff boys.
God bless.
paul viron thanks alot bud God bless you too!
great video guys, my brother and i are from the inner-west heading here tomorrow morning with the Amarok and Hilux. Late notice obviously but let us know if you happen to be keen
awesome video was just there this long weekend
Awww so close to getting up that first one! Well done fellas, you had a crack. Good wheel placement coming down those tracks toward the end. Keep up the adventures boys.
Trying that same obstacle once lockers are in :) Thanks though we appreciate it.
Adventure Australia hey guys i love watching your videos and your clips. Im thinking of heading out to ourimbah the following weekend looking for few people to go with as i have a 2016 hilux
When are you guys going away next!?
D Masso im going next weekend if you would like to go
Pierre Ayoub I'd love to but I'm down honeymoon bay. Following weekend I'm good for it!
Good vids guys, God bless
Love the channel, also the first hill the maxtrack would have got you up it under front wheel 👍
Good stuff lads
i like how you guys take on the toughest tracks with a stock vehicle, just shows you don't need to throw money at your car to go out and have fun in it.
The longer I watch the more I’m laughing 😂
nice video guys, keep it up
Yasou, from my observation wheel placement and less caution would help and confidence
George Lambrinos agreed thanks for the comment rey
hey guys loving the video just a quick question what size tyres are you running on your tritons and what is the rear bar on the titanium one.
thanks keep on wheeling
Ben Stark hey bud the black triton has 265/70/17 bfg ko2s and the titanium triton has had a tire change it now runs 33" (285/70/17) Hankook dynapro mts. The rear bar is one I picked up off ebay from PS 4x4 but I don't recommend it as the brush bars are very thin and not too strong. The main section is good however if you're after something similar, MCC has the same style just much more heavy duty on the brush bars. Cheers for the comment
Loving the videos fellas !
PS . get your self a locker! you will out climb a VW , I have the proof :-)
Benjamin Dollisson it's a definite thing we'll be getting in time haha thanks buddy!
Benjamin Dollisson upload a video of the Amarok and tag us!
Adventure Australia1 couldn’t do that mate
Too much incriminating evidence :-)
Great videos guys, keep em coming. One question though, do you get hung up on that damper thing at the front of the rear diff centre, it seems kinda weird just having it hangin out there underneath. Also when's the black one going offroad again ?
Steve Priesty hey buddy I've removed the damper, well more like crushed it going over a rock haha but I still got hung up on that first obstacle on the diff. Not enough clearance on the diff, the black triton will be back on the road tomorrow but it's going to Mitsubishi for a checkup as the insurance company did a terrible job and did not fix the engine properly we found water still in parts of the engine and exhaust so it's hard to say when it'll be back out with us.. more than likely a couple of weeks! But we're hoping to get it out as soon as possible.
Adventure Australia1 I Know what u mean. I crushed mine on my 1st trip out in my exceed MQ Lucky... it was ever so slightly scraping my drive shaft.
I spoke to Mitsubishi about it and they said it's a rear diff dampener and removes vibrations in the rear and diff...
I'm having a scrape plate made up to replace it for when I go off-road. then just wack the original back on after.
If u notice it's only on the autos, manuals don't have it.
Next time you in Melbourne let me know we'll head up to the high country. Or I'll drop u a line next time I'm up in syd
DJ CharchaR sounds like a plan buddy looking forward to it!
Nice work guys. Ever got out to Lithgow?
Good on ya boys God bless
Brian Joukhdar thanks Brian god bless you bro.
Great videos keep it up
Love your videos boys. I'm getting a triton and wondering if you would get the manual or auto
jasontheonlineguy hey buddy where are you buying it from ? I personally would reccomend the auto, much better for the hills and steep spots where you can't afford to let a clutch out and loose the power that's at the wheels and you still get to use the sequentials when you want to keep it in first gear low range. Hope that helps your decision.
Great video guys! Love watching especially because you’re honest, and I have the new MQ triton as well! Which tyres are you running? And size? Want to upgrade from the stock tyres!
robhlomas thanks alot buddy we appreciate the positive comment! The tyres are Monsta mud warrior @ 265/70/17 but I'll be upgrading to 33" BFG km2 tyres after my lift is done!
Adventure Australia1 You should double check about getting 33" tires. I have the same MQ with a 2.5" lift and barely cleared 32" tires. Of course, I got a better stance and more clearance for those tires but I really doubt I can fit any bigger tire...
Eduardo Sánchez oh really? That's good to know thanks for telling me, may have to get a body lift then if that's the case
Hey guys. Loving the videos, keep at it.
Was wondering where this is? i recently moved to wollongong from Victoria and have been trying to find some 4wd tracks around here and the sydney area. Can you just give me the name of where you are in the video and any other places you know.
Cheers.
Nick Cranston the track is ourimbah state forest. Next to the entrance. If you type it into your navigator it should come up?
Pretty good video
Hey guys, Ive seen the Amarok around my area, im sure I live close to you guys. We have a triton that comes out with us, i have a tripple locked 80 series. Let us know if you would like to tag along one of our trips!
koffeeblack sounds like a plan bud let us know when !
Hey boys just wondering if you had any problems removing the balancer from the rear diff, I just bought an exceed and I can see straight away that it's going to be a problem, keep up the good work boys god bless
Normac Enterpises hey buddy I think keep the balancer on when on the road.. I would have kept mine on for the road only I crushed it on a rock. With the combination of mud tyres and no balancer there's definitely more in-car vibrations which can be abit annoying. But definitely take it off when you head out it is a problem. Congrats on the car and God bless you too hope to see you out there some time !
Great to hear that you guys are Christians. I am also a born again Christian. I have been thinking lately of buying a Fait Fullback which is the same spec as the Barbarian L200 except for the badges as Fait have been using l200's to try and get into the market. Can you give me your honest opinion on the reliability of these 4x4's as I think that they are class. I would be using it for going to the beach, out on building sites as my business and for towing a caravan through Europe. Would you recommend one of these
Darsey no 1 hey buddy nice to hear from you, we are both very happy with the cars, I've done 47000kms in mine and it hasn't had any problems so far, it goes very well on sand and in terms of towing bash tows a double axle trailer full of tools every day and it does just fine at that. I hope that's helpful for you, God bless!
Why you choose the mitsubishi L200?
I was user of vw amarok but had some warrenty issues.
Now looking for another brand
I'm a cowboys fan mate. I accept defeat. Lol. Nice to see another vid from you guys. How's the old car going?
quietdominator666 hey buddy bash actually picked it up on Wednesday it's going to Mitsubishi for some testing as he wasn't happy with the lack of repair the insurance company done. It's drivable thus far but hopefully it will be back on the tracks soon !
Some tips:
Don't use brakes down hill
Install read diff lock if you don't have one
Use slimmer tires for better traction.
Very nice Bible verse
I enjoyed your video. what tires and tire specs are u using on that triton?
Dhon Legados they were 265/70/17 Monsta mud tyres. But now they've been upgraded to 33 inch Hankook dynapro mud tyres. Glad you enjoyed it
Great. Cheers to more great adventures guys!...
That Triton needs a bit of lift and some better more aggressive tyres. Momentum is key.
On this triton what kind of oil use? 15w40? Or wich one?
I done this in da amarok first go...
You still trying to get up.....haha
When is our next trip its been a while..
Did you have traction control on?
Beast
just wondering has the triton got a lift
Hey buddy, I'm from Sydney and just recently got into the scene, and I'm looking for other enthusiasts to go out with would you consider letter another car into your convoy ? Lol
Hey bud, that sounds fine we would be happy to have you tag alone on one of our trips. What do you drive ?
Adventure Australia1 awesome, I'm from Fairfield so I'm pretty local, I have a hilux .. do you have Facebook ? I'll contact you through there
Are these triton holding together well or are they starting to develope a lot of rattles and noises
Sean Godfather hey bud, they are doing fine we are very happy with the car, the only vibrations I've had are due to the balancer no longer being on the car and having mud terrains there's no balancer to absorb vibrations. All in all a very good car so far. Thanks for the comment
were is access to the forest?? for 4wd??
I’ll give you a free pointer when your not moving stop move back and try again and stop digging holes, that first spot you tried when wheels are turned like that and spinning and it rolls back that’s how you will bust a cv
Did you guys ever put it on 4LLc on Rock mode? Back wheel just keep in slipping.
Switching between 4hlc and 4llc but the slippery stuff was always done in 4llc. It was just how dry the ground was that made it so hard to grab anything. Loose sand everywhere
Adventure Australia Unless you put a bit of weight on the tray so that the tyres can grab traction. And a bit of momentum perhaps.
What sort of 4wd system is this thing running? Seems most of the time the back wheels are spinning and the fronts are just being lazy.
The traction control system in the triton isn't the best. supposed to be a locked centre sending power to the wheels with the most grip and cutting power to the wheels slipping, but it fails a lot of the time. Hilux sr5 has a much better system.
Adventure Australia fair enough, you guys look like you're having an awesome time. Loving your videos.
Are you guys using all of the factory traction control? Factory rear diff lock and centre diff locked should let you pretty much idle up most of that stuff. Let the traction control help you.
Matthew Lax hey buddy the traction control isn't the best option in the triton as it cuts off power then we're left stuck on an incline. On a downhill or near level ground it is ok but terrible for climbing. Also we do not have rear factory lockers, only the exceed model has a rear diff locker and the centre lock still keeps the diffs open. Thanks for your comment !
Adventure Australia1 nah man the traction control does work in those spots where your lifting wheels because it doesn't just cut power it'll use the brakes to grab the wheel in the air & send power to the opposing wheel trust me I gotta triton too & its the same offroad traction control as the pajero, true it is useless in sand & mud though because it cuts too much power but crawling up rocky stuff it works a treat on
Andrew Caldicott I've tried it a few times in those situations I even tried it on that first rut I went up it just cuts power. But I'll look into it and get back to you!
Mate the key to using traction control is to slowly apply power and give the system time to work out whats going on, so you might be skidding for 5 to 10 seconds and then you will move forward.
Benjamin Dollisson yeah I understand what you're trying to get at, thing is I've tried it many many times on near level and small inclines it is definitely fine but when it gets steep such as the first obstacle in the video it just climbs abit and slips again and it just isn't helpful, but I do use it as my first option nearly every time and if it's not working I just go first gear low and locked centre it's what mainly gets me over the steeper things. But I'll be doing some more research and trying it out. Thanks for the advice!
rear not Lsd?
Hey mate what lift and size tyres
jacob steele no lift yet matey soon enough. When I do it will most likely be dobisons 2" lift. The tyres are 31" Monsta mud warrior (265/65/17). Cheers
Check out 4x4 action or all 4 adventure good shows you guys could get some tips on! Feel like your going to ruin the car at this rate
this tayar is slip if change off rood tayar i think is ezy to up😊😊
maybe take off the sides steps for more clearance
Jack Wolffy I'll be welding up a pair of rock sliders soon hopefully won't get caught on rocks as much!
good idea
Watch dirt everyday for more ideas about off roading.
gold member007 hey guys im a big fan of your videos. I like watching them and getting some tips. Would love to go out with you guys some time as im thinking of heading to ourimbah the following weekend.
gut a bulbar which covers your hole front of you 4wd
Unbolt your muffler. It'll make the ute sound like a truck
No difflock
😂
If you have some cash, get a Suzuki Vitara (2nd Gen) .. or a Suzuki Jimny 😎
mate u r a Beginner loool
remind me not to buy a second hand triton!!
Get a real off-road vehicle
Stretcher1974 👍
I love tritons but yours is set up shit for what you put it through your giving them a bad name with your bad driving also there’s a difference between side steps and rock sliders
Sorry bro I was gonna subscribe but you had to mention the bible and your beliefs.
