  • Ranger, Amarok, Triton down at the Zig zag powerlines track. Maybe went a little too hard this time around but overall a good experience. Enjoy.

    Enjoying this channel, my last car was a gq patrol wagon running 6" lift and 37 simex supercharged 5L v8, now that thing could do some amazing stuff, but I sold up for a company triton exceed, and I love it, set up amazing but it's so much more fun, everything is a possible challenge rather than a walk in the park while asleep, lol

    Thanks guys for taking me on your adventure. What fun I bet you cannot wait for more weekends. You guys certainly show some real skill prepared to take it all on. As for the camera man keep it up you commentary helps the video and puts it all in perspective. Love you work. If only you could get paid for this work.

      Hi Ken. Just reading through these comments. I am not a fan either of all the things your 20 grand refer to. John Rooth (Roothy) summed it up nicely once. 2" lift, lockers and max' dia' of 33" in tyres is all you need for probably 95% of tracks. You don't need stupid $$$'s for this. As for Chips and Exhausts, unless you want to be travelling a lot at GCM, vehicles like the Tritons are sensational just as they are. With an auto and Lockers, they're a genuine weapon. Against a lot of opinion I am certain, my choice of tyre for my own vehicle similar in size to the Triton, is a "skinny" 235/85r16 or a 265/75r16. Both are a 32" and work great.

    • @adventureaustralia1925
      @adventureaustralia1925 7 років тому +1

      quietdominator666 im definitely going harrop elocker much cheaper around 2k fitted still expensive but more reliable and easier to use than air lockers . you don't need to install a compressor and there's always the risk of it failing or hoses damaging. I see alot of reviews that say air lockers always leak and that's the last thing you'd want when you need it.

    • @quietdominator666
      @quietdominator666 7 років тому

      john3:16 2 grand seems pretty affordable though. Are you local to Brisbane? Where do you get them fitted?

    • @adventureaustralia1925
      @adventureaustralia1925 7 років тому +1

      quietdominator666 were from Sydney bud ( I own the grey Triton in the video) opposite lock supplies and installs them. I'm sure it would be cheaper up your way too. if there's a opposite lock store definitely give them a call and find out pricing much better than air lockers. ARB and tjm can't do elockers because they're patented by Harrop they basically are the best product you can get.

    glad i found this channel to see the potential of stock vehicles.
    may i add some advics.
    when ground guiding the driver, make sure only one person is ground guiding, in your videos theres always atleast two or three people telling the driver what to do at the same time which isnt always the same instructions.
    best way to do it is one person talking to the driver thats it. and get some hand held two way radios. will make it alot easier

    To the cameraman: Don't you just love it when you can see the track and your mates don't listen! Personally think the spotting commentary was good. I've got mates who talk that much and it's worth listening to them. They can see what I cannot.
    What this video highlights though is two things:
    Tyre pressures didn't look that low. The Triton is a light truck. Take advantage of this and get tyre pressures low. 12-15 psi will work safely. Second, just think how "killer" these Tritons would be with Lockers in the front. Eaton e-Locker over ARB Air Lockers are my personal choice for simplicity, even though I've got AirLocker in the front of my own IFS fourbie.
    I can guarantee the cost is worth it for the phenomenal difference it makes to vehicle capability in every terrain.
    If you wanted convincing, there's some mad footage of "Martin VanMan" around with old Mitsubishi L300 vans at Yalwal. Watch these lads. With lockers, these old Mitsi's shock the shit out of some Landcruiser and Patrol boys with what they do.
    Love to see what kind of tracks you lot tackle if you fully lock those Tritons.

    camera guy gives good guidance BUT you cant have 5 people giving directions and if your giving the guidance don`t film... as all the other comments say, your yelling into the cam making it hard for viewers. Just get a set of handheld CB so the driver and guide can be talking on them and everyone else just CHEERS ON! AWESOME track guys that looks crazy and for pretty stock cars you all did some great driving, remember safety first though with winches and snatch straps ect .. there have been some fatalities in recent times because these things are underestimated, make sure you never snatch off a towball and always use dampeners and keep clear! ... I was crapping myself when that car almost rolled I know that feeling being so close to a roll it took guts to drive that out... well done guys!

    These clowns have done more damage to that track then should have been and hope they stay off other tracks as they are clue less to the problems they are causing to others, but they likely could care less about others.
    Yes the yelling of the camera guy is irritating, but even more so that fact he has little to not idea what his saying and the confusion is obvious. Whilst its interesting to see the Triton's which look like stock standard with town / city tyres, I just wonder why the hell would you take these bush bashing with little if any off road gear or fitment. Besides seeing this track chewed and chopped up way beyond what it should have and the fact these guys are clueless when it comes to off road driving, there is little benefit from this video, other then maybe seeing how not to do it. The drive lines taken the majority of times are completely wrong. My stocked Triton eats tracks like these without issues.
