  • Forgive us for the late upload, a lot of you guys were hitting us up asking when the next one will be released but as you heard in the video, our hard drive with all the content of our last trip crashed and we lost a lot of good footage that was going in this video.
    5 ways in both cars and and in-depth video of what went wrong with the tyre rolling off and the rescue after it.
    Its only motivated us to go back to Watagans and do it all again lol but hopefully now this is good enough. Godbless
    Romans 1
    "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened."

    Your spotting instructions have gotten better since I've been watching your videos. You are much better at picking the right line while climbing or rock crawling. A suggestion for you is to say "driver" or "passenger" instead of "right" or "left", that way there is no confusion when the spotter is giving direction to the driver on which way to turn the wheel.

    A thought for the grey Triton when in marginal traction situations- have you tried the "poor mans difflock" where you activate the parking brake so as to slow down the spin on the rear wheel that doesn't have traction. This will work well as long as the parking brake is a "traditional" type and not like a Landy- on the prop shaft.

      MamboTek thanks for the tip I'll definitely give it a go, was out at Menai last weekend and pushed the brakes in all the way that seemed to get my rear lsd to lock up both wheels. I'll give the handbrake a go next time! Cheers bud

    Next time use the lynx can as a flame thrower so you stay away from the tyre.

    One piece of kit would make all the difference - CDL - A CDL would allow you to just crawl up those steps when using lockers. However, momentum is the key, you started applying extra power after you'd come to a stop. From the bottom of the steps use a little more power and keep it constant. Let momentum carry you up. Using momentum would actually allow the traction control to take effect.

    • @adventureaustralia1925
      @adventureaustralia1925 6 років тому

      Chew 0n1t I may sound a bit clueless but are you referring to the CDL being a centre difflock? If so the tritons do come with a CDL stock !

    • @TheWeedcontroller
      @TheWeedcontroller 6 років тому +1

      Yes, that's the CDL. We call them transfer lockers here in the UK. Something wasn't working correctly or was not being engaged if they are fitted as standard on that model. There is no way any 1 wheel should have been able to spin while another was stationary if your using all 3 lockers. However; The main factor is initial momentum, maintaining momentum and not simply trying to boost when stuck - There's an old saying "It's all well and good having all that power if you don't know how and when to use it". Early on the power with control, and keep it even/constant.

    Stop whining about the traction control and saying you'll turn it off. It's actually active stability control that you're turning off and it should be off whenever you're in low range anyway.

    • @adventureaustralia1925
      @adventureaustralia1925 6 років тому +1

      @@eduardosanchez7827 it didn't actually pop it rolled off the rim as there was a lot of weight on the tyre being pulled on an angle and not enough air pressure to hold it on

    Awesome work, love the videos.
    Wanted to ask how the Triton goes through river crossings with the snorkel fitted? Did you guys fit diff breathers as well?

      Christopher Bohn hey buddy thanks for the comment, they seem to cruise through the crossings we've done so far and obviously a big thanks to the snorkel, we haven't fitted diff breathers yet but they're definitely something we will be adding on!
