A tip that I picked up from a concept art channel is to make things as a 3D model to trace off of later/ use as reference. I was thinking this might be helpful specifically for your backgrounds, at least for ones that might show up for a decent number of panels or multiple times in the story. You're are is beautiful by the way, and the video was very nice

@ArianaGrey-w9w yes that's a great tip! I did make some poor looking models for some of the major places, but nothing solid. I agree it's helpful and can probably save time long term, but it also takes effort for those less attuned to 3D xD hehe. I should heed the advice more tbh- so thanks for reminding me 😊
      Also thank you very much!

Hey ya'll o/ I hope you find this video helpful (and not too ramble-y). People seemed to like my other Manga lessons video so I felt this one could also be of interest to you, as someone starting their first long-form Webcomic (except its not for a contest this time). Have a good week o7

Long video, very nice. It was really great hearing your personal experiences, and how you have dealt with your obstacles, pulling through, all the while you have also learned the lessons of everything in moderation helps the greater whole, not lest your mental health and body.
Regarding the schedules, all depending on how you are and how many hours per day you'd in general like to put into it, I like to think each day has it's personal moods and creative energies in regards to when in the day it is. If this is a somewhat constant in you, maybe you should split the day into different zones. In example mornings, noon, mid day, evening, and night. I, myself is definitely not a routine person, but some people thrive in that, so maybe assign different tasks to these chosen zones, depending on your creative energy in that given time period. It also makes everything more structured as a basis and helps you direct your energies in a specific area.
Glad you are also giving thoughts to promotion and marketing. It is an area many artists struggle with.

To reach a constant schedule is some type of magic. Esp if you want to make the episode uploaded worth the read, and not forgettable or lacking any plot development. I do think routines help me in general, but I'm definitely random sometimes

@@aeryma Yeah, build around those routines and constants you have, like if you have a set schedule for physical activity and anything that isn't directly related to your creative process.
For me personally, the closer I get to evenings and nights the more reflective and cerebral I am, and my curve from mornings go upwards, which means my planning phase is very good in the mornings, and then productiveness is a bell curve, where I try to change to something else entirely when it is past peak.
Also as you rightfully added, that doing something else entirely not only is a necessity for our personal wellbeing, but it is also indirectly good for our creative process, taking breaks.

@janniknielsen9292 fair enough, I think it's good to not be dependent entirely on routine and have some spontaneous flexibility. I think routine stabilises me in a general context, but I need that flexibility to move around. Esp with my creative process. Which is what I enjoy about making comics, so many different things to do.
Breaks are def important to anyone's process or work day.
      Thanks for sharing 👍

Happy to help! I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make the first thing we create a masterpiece, and forget that the great Comic Artists of today all had to start from somewhere, and grind out stories until they hit a diamond. Give it a try, you never know where it could lead- Good luck!

Recently i uploaded my first ever comic to webtoon, and it keeps popping up saying set your content rating!? And I have got no idea on how to go about.
So could you please help or make a short video on that. I tried searching different content creators on yt but got none related videos.

    • @aeryma
      @aeryma  19 днів тому +1

Ah, I honestly had no idea about this problem until your comment, hehe. I've yet to upload on Webtoon officially, but I did look into it.
You need to go into your Webtoon dashboard, click 'edit' on your series and then fill out the categories under 'Content Rating Self Assessment'. I think once you do this, you should be fine. Webtoons seems to have just updated this to cater to different age groups 🤷‍♀
