it also looks a tiny bit duller one anne's version, and a bit too flashy on the runway one, compared to actual klein blue

I second this. Now when I see a bunch of rubes ( like me😊) in the comments sections badmouthing fashion as being pointless and pretentious I now echo him saying high fashion is artistic expression like architecture or paintings 🤓
Even the big name professionals don't have his vocabulary and eloquence. 'I like this ... with the silver and the little jolts of blue and purple sitting in these little swirls and swags in the motif ...' Not scripted, he's just speaking naturally. He has a huge future.
oh wow I just have to add another quote, about the shipwreck dress at 32:46: "the beautiful destruction of this dress that looks like it's been slammed against the rocks and really sort of tortured ... It has this beautiful haunting quality to it." He should transcribe all this prose and add it to his portfolio. I wonder if he's fully aware of his facility with language.

I would have liked to see Carey move in the dress, it's so reflective it almost look like they painted the dress on top of a photo of her - absolutely stunning.

Loved seeing Ali Wong actually go for it! And for me, if Margot had posed with the dress more like the sketched model, like popped her hip out/put a hand on her hip, it could've been better. But the sketch definitely didn't really come to fruition, the pink fabric looks really frumpy compared to the beautiful ombré in the sketch.
I love how recently Ann Hathaway was trying to be a fashion girl but the blue dress looked like what I ordered versus what I got…..

Billie said on the red carpet that she chose something more 'presentable' because she was there only as an audience member, so she didn't want to 'be in anybody's faces'. My guess is that her approach to her fashion latetly has been completely motiveted by the oscars campaing. Oscars voters overall are not into pop star status artists, therefore casual looks are the ones that give her more so the 'songwriter artist' vibe and a mature image. The same goes for her hair color change. PLUS she's doing that without compromising her personal brand

I loved Anne's dress Devil Wears Prada reference aside. The color is gorgeous and the cut looks so good on her. A true fashion queen.
The Chanel dress on Bel is riffing on our Maori (indigenous New Zealanders) traditional dresses. Our dresses are the same shape with the bandeau top and it often has that stepped pattern on the top and then there is striped flax hanging from top. We also use a lot of feather in our clothing. Every Maori looking at this dress would think that the designer has seen our customary "piupiu". Showed it to my Scottish husband and even he said "hey, it's a Maori dress!" (different fabrics of course, but the shape and design is so so similar).
I very much enjoyed sitting on the floor talking fashion. Such a cozy hanging out time with you Luke. Take care of yourself, drink water get sleep .. wishing everyone wellness joy and peace 🌻💕
The first day of commentary is sooo? Cozy and sleepy and almost tipsy looking, feels like I’m having a midnight chat with a friend in the kitchen after a long day but the talk itself is still effortlessly smart and refined and yeah Luke is almost yawning but sounds so academically sharp still, I cannot. Danielle Brooks' half-dress was giving poor Luke a migraine! It's as if she needed something PURPLE to wear, but Siriano didn't have anything finished in his showroom, and they tacked (not sewed, TACKED) several half-finished pieces onto a mini dress.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about Carey Mulligan's dress since I saw it. It's an incredible look.
Most of the fails …in my opinion…being a woman ..are in the misfitted bust line. If you have large breasts and or large shoulders..please have straps or support …having your breasts hanging out the sides or over the top …just looks awful and uncomfortable.
Listen. I do not know why Colman Domingo is famous. In fact, I don't know a damn thing about the man. But I DO know that he is THE moment in men's fashion. You say jump, Colman, I say how high.

Ann Hathaway’s dress. I’m guessing the straps/exposure is different part is due to Ann’s body being so very different. If the straps had been pulled down, and the middle hiked up, she would have looked like a hot mess. I further speculate that this dress was not custom worked for her or there might possibly have been a different strap/midriff story.

jfc carey mulligan didnt have to slay like that!!!! also the very neutral metallic (kinda like a 50/50 gold and silver) is such a perfect choice by her stylist, true neutrals look great on her skin tone in any lighting
My favorite was Ariana Greenblat in Vera Wang. SO stunning! (The second favorite is Debicki in that blue delicate dress by Armani Privé)

That Bel Powley - Chanel look stood out to me. As an indigenous Maori woman, it reminds me of our traditional/performance garments. Specifically korowai cloaks and pari dress.

I would love for you to react to the outfits athletes wear when they arrive at wherever they are playing (it's kind of a PR thing I think). Especially Lewis Hamilton's at F1 but also American football would be cool. I find some of the outfits athletes wear when they "walk in" are great and some are awful and i would love to hear your opinion (no sports knowledge needed I would say). Love your videos!

The tulle Chanel sequin fabric design is a chevron set on the bias. Da'vine's dress needs the flowers flipped sides so the bulk at top balances the bottom. And the large flowers need to be pushed up to the shoulder higher. Almost a strap. But just flip flopping them will solve a lot of the issues.
