Ok I finally got it. Thank you! I think the one thing that could be tripping people up bc it did for me was the color fill at the bottom. When you add the rectangle or font make sure that color fill button is not clicked. Mine was as a default and was messing me up. Now that I unclicked it works! Thank you for your help!
1) upload photo and fill canvas 2) add text (use thick letters - Wrench font is a good bet) 3) tap on text layer in layers menu 4) tap on "select" 5) select layer one (picture layer) 6) 3 finger swipe down (if this doesn't work, check your procreate settings) 7) select "duplicate" option 8) minimize all other layers to reveal text with photo inside

One thing to add, u have to hold one finger when u select the text and when you go to the other layer or else it wont save and u wont get the finished text

@@gaianna hmm, try making a new canvas and scribble on a layer. Try to then select the scribble to copy. It’s essentially the same thing, selecting the layer should select what’s in that layer. 🧐

I have no idea why this doesn't work for me, I am following step by step, even when I try the rectangle method, and dow the 3 fingers swipe down and hit duplicate, it just makes a solid white square over the photo, and a duplicate of the layer so now there's 2 layers of a photo with a solid white rectangle over the photo. The same happens when I add text, and I swipe 3 fingers and hit duplicate, It just makes a duplicate of the text only to a separate layer but no photo background just all white letter texts. What am I doing wrong here?
