@@dhorton3686 What are you getting? Be interested to hear what you are getting to get 14 additional hours of playtime. Horton, could you answer a question for me if you know the answer? Do you have any recommendations? This is my first VR headset so I'm not the smartest on this stuff. Can you offer any help or advice?
Yes would like the Aubika Grips please. Loved them on my Quest 2 and got your limited edition ones :-). I am using a pair of MrTass Quest 3 grips right now which match my color scheme nicely however I would certainly purchase another pair of Aubika Grips (with the magnetic charging that I absolutely love). I would really like a option to pick a color for the grips if possible that way we can customize it to match our color schemes and I am sure it will be a big seller 😉. I plan to keep a close eye on Aubika. The case is good however the head-strap is not my thing (since I do not do much activity and I find the Halo strap much more comfortable for my use). The charging stand as much as I like the idea it is a ridiculous price and I just cannot see that much value in this. Will be awaiting other solutions that are more affordable in the future. Thanks for the video.
I love that you got one of the JayBratt sets! I do think it would be fun to do that again! Maybe we can actually get the name on the grips this time and not just the charger :)
I have been using Aubika battery strap and its the best i've used so far. I can get about 3.5 to 4 hours of assassin's creed with about 30% left on my quest 3. Tried the Nordquest and it holds no charge. Annapro is only 18w. This one is 20w output and does that beautifully.
I will still use the Bobo personally for comfort but if I have a second Quest 3 that I use for fitness, beat saber or gtag primarily I'd use the Aubika strap for it's stability.
I've been waiting for your review on this for a while! I bought this strap and had issues, but liked it so much that I bought another one that had updated hardware.
FYI the code doesn't seem to work in Canada, but the strap is cheaper here anyway so I guess it's a wash. Thanks for the recommendation, I've been waiting for someone to confirm which strap supports 18w!!
I tested it here: ua-cam.com/video/Ypxex_C3ezk/v-deo.html It does it's job. I am personally just not a fan of having a strap on my chest or shoulder with another cable. I really prefer to have any battery on the back of my head but the battery strap works well and actually charges/maintains a charge.
Hey Jay, I’ve been hearing that 18w (9v/2a) battery straps are having compatibility issues with the Q3’s power draw. The most common side effect is battery buzzing. After using the head strap for a while, does it make any buzzing noises and how it’s the quality holding up? Appreciate it. (Also big fan of your content. Only VRtuber I am subscribed to lol.)
That means a lot to me, thank you!! I've had intermittent issues with buzzing with different straps. It seems to always be when the headset is near full but the battery is still trying to charge it but can't output enough power into the headset. It's usually quiet enough in game you won't notice but in menus you can. The worst was the binbok but for the most part it's ignorable.
@jaybratt I appreciate the help. I would say buzzing is a deal breaker, but I know that a 27w battery is the only permanent solution. (We all know that isn't happening anytime soon.) This'll probably be the headstrap that'll hold me over until the B3 releases from BOBOVR. Keep up the good work!
the charging station is pretty quirky but for the wattage and being all usb C that is actually comparable to buying 2-4 good dedicated GaN charging bricks that would be 35-60w capable. heck its comparable to some high end 4-6 slot 60-100w GaN chargers. are there cheaper ones sure, but not necessarily from a trustworthy brand. the 200w 6 port (4 usb C, 2 USB type A) from Ugreen is also $200 supporting similar wattage distribution, but it doesn't have the fancy-schmancy shape of a head. honestly if you have a 3Dprinter you could make it cheaper with some ingenuity and finding a way to plug in 4 ugreen lower wattage GaN bricks but the fit and finish wouldn't be as compact, have a single cable or as simplistic to deploy. most "smart chargers" that do quick charge power delivery will need you to plug in at the brick to do the handshaking needed to request power so you cant just extend the power bricks to other locations unless each USB C is dedicated to one device and even then you will need to regularly re-plug them. I've tried a similar AIO deployment station with 3 Ugreen GaN quick charging bricks all with the latest features and I just dismantled it because it was so annoying to break down the back covers just to replug an extension, I tried everything from breaking down the bricks and soldering to the pads but my best guess is a voltage drop is caused by any cable being plugged in so the PD safety features kick in requiring a need to replug the USB cable.
Yeah that's an option. I know personally I pay the extra for an integrated strap as it saves me the trouble of the extra wire, the weight in the pocket, and it counterweights the headset a bit but if you're willing to just rock a battery in your pocket you are MUCH Better off that way. Way cheaper AND you can swap one for another if you need unlike a strap that needs charged.
I've been using the Quest 3 with sessions of +8 hours long - using a BoboVR strap and 3 batteries. 2 would be enough for that but a 3rd one makes it just a bit more convenient. Not the cheapest solution but I already had the BoboVR for the Q2 - but the batteries drain faster on the Q3 so therefore I bought a 3rd one.
OOOO I want a set of these aubika style grips for the pro controllers which is what I use with my quest 3. I would probably get the jbratt ones if they are offered for the quest 3 controllers. but like I said I would REALLY want some for my pro controllers. I got them for an upgrade ages ago for my quest 2 and use them now with my quest 3 and do not regret it even a little bit!! I just want decent grips.
Thnx for the great review! I'm getting mine today. Is it true that I can simply leave the battery off and if my MQ has almost no power I can then turn on the Aubika battery? And at what percentage of the MQ should I do that? And, is this also the wisest way to use it? Thanks, Ron
The head strap? Yeah it feels like the most "built for Quest 3" strap I've tried yet. Just doesn't seem to have the pitfalls many of the forward carried Quest 2 straps had.
I am looking for a strap that is easy to lift up and down for when I'm simultaneously working on my PC developing VR archviz scenes. Which strap would you recommend for easy lifting?
Is the controller grips you’re using that you list in the description cloth or more like silicone? I bought a similar one from aliexpress and it was cloth oops 😢
i was hoping you could help me, just bought my quest 3 trying to get it all dialed in. Tonight i decided to hook my hyper x headest to it so i could get better audio. But instead the audio was complete crap i had it turned up full and it was literally as quiet or quieter than the speakers on the quest 3. Have you tried using a wired headset with your Quest 3? Any ideas why it was so quiet?
Yes this is an issue. I talked about this in the Quest 3 deep dive. The aux port on it seems to be underpowered. Only amped headphones with their own battery seem to up the volume enough to make up for it ☹️. Also the bigger the headphones (non amped) the worse it'll sound because it doesn't have enough power to move the drivers in them.
I prefer the comfort of a halo strap like the Bobo and the ability to swap batteries but this Aubika strap battery lasts longer and has the correct output for power of the Quest 3 so it is more predictable. Sadly Bobo were designed for the far less power hungry Quest 2.
I went with the BoBoVr strap, since I thought the only thing they would have to do in order to fix their battery issues, is to release a B3 Battery pack that does 18W, since the batteries are hot-swapable
Hey! thank you for helping me decide on my first VR head strap. I tried to use your code on Amazon, but it says it's no longer valid - at least for me here in Canada. Just wanted to let you know :)
Thanks Jay for the great Vids. Regards battery life, have you tried turning the headset brightness down to around 50%. For me, there's seems no difference in game, but I am sure it helps battery life a lot. I play alot of IDU and use bobo, which is capable of keeping the headset at 100% at least to one charging light on the bobo battery
Can we expect to see a review of the new kiwi elite battery strap soon? :) I got the Bobo M3 and it’s just not for me and I’ve been eyeing kiwi’s elite battery strap
Im still getting the binbok since it still comes with 2 magnetic batterys the strap and the dock for both the batterys and the charger with the price only being 20 dollers more expensive
Hey jay I wanna get a head strap (prolly the bobo vr m3 ) but what hand strap should I get? Also I’m getting on Amazon and I also wanna get a link cable but idk what brand to get from. Can’t edit my comment lol
yeah even with the weak elite strap 2000%mah i get two hours plus. He is not clear if this one is two hours just for the strap or also the q3. I bought that 10000mah PrismXR Carina belt to try out with my elite strap with battery.
@@WarpedTrekker had the oculus quest 2 with elite strap battery, never snaped never had issues and I have had it since launch. I feel the people that have this problem are caused by the people using it not by the product.

having few problems with the Aubika Strap. Normally it should charge both the Quest 3 and the strap at the same time. But it only charges both when the Quest 3 is on or standby. It does not charge both when Quest is completely off. It gets the orange light for 5 seconds and just turns off again. And when having both charged, and put away. After two days not using it, the battery of the Aubika strap was completely depleted. My Quest also had about 80% battery left. Why? Everything was completely shut off. Are you having the same issues?
Hi! Inside Aubika's headstrap manual are detailed instructions for charging and use, one of which says this: Due to the protective mechanism of the Aubika Fast-ChargingHead Strap, when you press the head strap button to charge thepowered-off Quest 3 headset, press it again when the orangelight on the headset turns on to initiate the charging process. (The head strap keeps charging the headset when the orangelight stays illuminated.)
Are you kidding me. I have the strap right here. Not a very friendly way to say, me not having the strap and just me bashing on a product. No, I really have the new Aubika strap. The only info I have in the manual is on page 10: FRIENDLY NOTE 1. the power button is designed for activating fast charging on the Quest 3. To charge the strap individually, please press twice to stop charging Quest 3 and keep the battery strap charged. x1 Press once to start charging Quest 3 headset x2 Press twice to stop charging Quest 3 headset Then page 11: 2. To charge the Quest 3 headset and head strap battery at the same time, make sure to connect the battery cable from... There is no info like @Serena-18q stated. No info about the orange light.
@@begoody Indeed it is not your problem. It seems to be the fact that Aubika's instructions for the new batch were changed and added to this. I would suggest that if you have any questions after that, you can just go and ask their customer service, it will solve your problem faster~
Aubika better have changed that metal part that digs into your hand, I had to go back to the kiwi because of it. Also better have higher capacity batteries, yeah they charge, but I don’t want to NEED to charge them every day or two so they’re not constantly low, especially when batteries are so cheap cmon why cheap out on that part, I’ll pay the extra few dollars.

@@jaybratt thanks man
What facial interface do you use?
Try the Annapro battery headstrap,it keeps the quest 3 at 100% charge.. and its nicely build and a great price!
Can you still use PCVR with this headstrap?
kiwi vs aubika for quest 3 which one wins???🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
is this better than the bobovr headstrap in your opinion?
Better than Nord Quest?
Is bobovr better??
I prefer the comfort of a halo strap like the Bobo and the ability to swap batteries but this Aubika strap battery lasts longer and has the correct output for power of the Quest 3 so it is more predictable. Sadly Bobo were designed for the far less power hungry Quest 2.
Have you done a review on the binbok headstrap
I went with the BoBoVr strap, since I thought the only thing they would have to do in order to fix their battery issues, is to release a B3 Battery pack that does 18W, since the batteries are hot-swapable
Hey! thank you for helping me decide on my first VR head strap. I tried to use your code on Amazon, but it says it's no longer valid - at least for me here in Canada. Just wanted to let you know :)
Why isn't there any cooling fan anti-fogging for the Quest 3? They only have it for the Quest 2.
It's too new. Companies are working on it but they have to get a functioning facial interface replacement first. Should come soon :)
Oooh alright!
Your white and red grips still didn't poped out ?
The way they are attached on the battery door scares me
Is the quest 3 worth it?
How does Aubika batt strap compare to Kiwi comfort batt strap
Thanks Jay for the great Vids. Regards battery life, have you tried turning the headset brightness down to around 50%. For me, there's seems no difference in game, but I am sure it helps battery life a lot. I play alot of IDU and use bobo, which is capable of keeping the headset at 100% at least to one charging light on the bobo battery
Heym Jay, how about a Cybercore givaway???? LOL
Would the bobo vr head strap be good for active games
I am thinking about getting the quest 3 for the holiday's
Where are you gonna keep an apple vision pro when its that expensive.
Me : Where are you gonna keep all your quest 3 accessories which you bought.
Hey jay I wanna get a head strap (prolly the bobo vr m3 ) but what hand strap should I get? Also I’m getting on Amazon and I also wanna get a link cable but idk what brand to get from. Can’t edit my comment lol
Nice PU leather facial interface :). Who made it?
what is the exact weight of aubika battery strap?
Kiwi just released their Quest 3 Battery Headstrap, could you do a review of that one?
Just get the elite strap with battery.
yeah even with the weak elite strap 2000%mah i get two hours plus.
Gotta does some JayBratt Q3 grips!
I wonder if bobovr gonna make some new batteries to buy separately for us?
Accessories videos are the best
Cost everything not super much money because you have already done 5 exseseries videos
Yeah Elias, we've been trying LOADS of accessories lol. Some of them get sent to us but my Amazon spending this month to test more has been OUT OF CONTROL :D
Do you get that for free from those companys ?
Not all products. These Aubika ones they sent over but ALL the Apexinno products you've seen me test I had to buy myself. Same with some of the cases and many other head straps.
@@jaybrattIf you don’t like some stealing space I’ll take them 😂
@@anhingathing2382you put a laugh face to connect with Jay as if he's actually gonna send some guy something, don't act like it's a joke because deep down you really want it
"Looks more attractive to steal" - You are talking like a real American 😂
I've had this happen, quest 3 with battery strap not charging only charging when disconnecting the usb from the battery strap to the quest 3 and charging them individually. seems like it's some weird bug. I hope they can fix it with a patch.
I'm waiting for the off-brand charging station for the quest 3 cause I got mine now. it holds up battery with my link cable pretty good but I might still get a dock for looks nice vid still
having few problems with the Aubika Strap.
Hi!
Inside Aubika's headstrap manual are detailed instructions for charging and use, one of which says this:
Due to the protective mechanism of the Aubika Fast-ChargingHead Strap, when you press the head strap button to charge thepowered-off Quest 3 headset, press it again when the orangelight on the headset turns on to initiate the charging process.
(The head strap keeps charging the headset when the orangelight stays illuminated.)
@@Serena-18qNow, on which page is that statement? Can't find it anywhere.
You might need to buy it first as I remember they have paper manual inside and talking this point@@begoody
Are you kidding me. I have the strap right here. Not a very friendly way to say, me not having the strap and just me bashing on a product. No, I really have the new Aubika strap. The only info I have in the manual is on page 10:
FRIENDLY NOTE
1. the power button is designed for activating fast charging on the Quest 3. To charge the strap individually, please press twice to stop charging Quest 3 and keep the battery strap charged.
x1 Press once to start charging Quest 3 headset
x2 Press twice to stop charging Quest 3 headset
Then page 11:
Has anyone with this strap noticed the buzzing that’s been reported on Amazon reviews?
What wattage charger will I need to charge this, anyone?
I do not like that pivot point on the middle of the strap. I feel like I'd be adjusting it too much and it wouldn't sit right
Binbok comes with 2 8000mah battery packs and dock for $99 can’t beat. 10 hours of play
OK PAPA SAID ITS MY TURN TO GET PINNED😡

I have heard some of these batterie straps also buzz, so another no-go strap.
with a bobovr strap, i can get 3 and a half hours on my Quest 3 and it keeps it at 100%
GLOBULAR CLUSTER mod will be ready next week!!!!!
Nice pc case
