Ha! He is a good sport. He is not a “fan” of fans lol but it was pretty warm that day so allowed it. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the new camper!
Our Geopro has a 12 volt electric only refrigerator. We have it on continuously. It runs when we are towing with the truck the solar panels more than adequate when parked. Its wonderful not worrying about the propane. We also have a thermometer that tells us what the temperature is inside the refrigerator. It is a must so you dont keep opening the door. We have learned many tips from you over the years. Thank You
We are looking forward to one day upgrading to the 12V. Being able to quickly cool it and not worry about propane would definitely be a benefit! Do you have the same thermometer or a different brand?
@@WinesPinesandCanines Replacing mine with a 12 volt was the best upgrade I've done to mine. It has 40% more space inside in the same footprint. It cools down much faster, can be run all the time, isn't sensitive to level like an absorption unit, and stays cold regardless of ambient temperature. Being in the southwest, I frequently end up in places where it's 90 degrees or above, and even with a couple of those auxiliary fans, the old one really struggled
@jeffreygunn3530 - we have thought about it! But the original fridge is still working well enough that we just cant do the price tag on the new one lol. But - the 2 way fridges are getting less common so maybe we could get a good price for it haha. Might be an upcoming video! And definitely see where it would be a benefit in those temps. We had 4 days in high 80’s and we had to be careful not to open much during the day. But very little propane used and almost no battery used. And when it wasnt 85, it was 60 and raining with almost no solar coming in (4 days straight) so we would have struggled with the battery on the 12V.
Hi guys! Ok, I’ve had a 3 way fridge in our last rig and there are definitely some distinct advantages. Especially if you’re boondocking. By my 2022 G19FBS has the 12 volt compressor fridge and I will never go back to the old version. It’s just so much easier having a real fridge that chills fast, doesn’t poop out just because you open the doors a few times, and has a larger freezer that you can keep real ice cream in without having to keep your fingers crossed that it won’t melt. If yours ever poops out completely you should consider a swap. And the compressor replacement fridge is much cheaper. No, I’m not getting a kickback from Magic Chef. 😁 Still a fridge fan is a must have for both fridges. And cycle blue ice pack thru the freezer for our drink chest too.
Yes - we are hearing good things about the 12V. Ours is currently running fine but would love the convenience! And I defintely think we will be swapping when the time comes. What model is yours? I think they were putting some in that were Magic Chef and some that were Ever Chill (unless the same?) Might do some measuring lol.
Yes, our old fridge used to really struggle. The new one hasn't seemed to have as much trouble. Bill wants a 12 volt one if we ever upgrade again. Good tips. Miss you guys.
We are with Bill on this one! While this fridge really hasn't given us any issues, having one that we can run even if unlevel and that cools quickly - definitely something we are considering. But, would use up some battery so thinking we might do it all at once in the future (add a battery, solar and a new fridge). We miss you guys too! We hoped to get to the FL again but got in a time crunch so went straight to Maine and then home. We would love to visit this summer when it gets too hot here haha! Hope you guys are doing well.
Wilbur's of Maine 100%! Hopefully you got a chance to sample some of Maine's world-class beers. Allagash in Portland and Maine Beer Co in Freeport are both fantastic. Both have great taprooms as well. Prost!
We were so disappointed - we went thinking there was a chocolate tour and they ended up not doing that day lol. But still had to sample haha. We did tour some breweries! We visited Allagash and Foundation in Portland. A few others that will be on our list next time! Thanks for the watch!
HAHA! Very true. Saw Battery Steele and Destination there as well. And family recommended Bunker Brewing? And really enjoyed some Peak Brewing I bought at the local Hannafords! Goals for next time lol.
OMG! I laughed so hard at the clip with Desi and the fan! Priceless.

@@WinesPinesandCanines It is a different brand. Only 1 fridge sensor. But it works awesome.

I too have been guilty of not closing the fridge! Ugh! Thank you for these tips!
Glad I am not the only one lol. The first time we thought it was starting to fail. The second time - I figured out it was me 😂
Great suggestions thank you
Thank you :) And thanks for the watch - appreciate!

Foundation is also very good. And you can walk (stagger) there from Allagash!

Thanks for the video. All good tips.
Thank you :) Appreciate the watch :) Hope all is well - so sorry to see your recent troubles with the rv!
@@WinesPinesandCanines Thanks, tomorrow, Sunday's , video show repairs.
What is that thing that hangs in the frig
Which item are you meaning? The newer fridges are 12v so might look a little different :).
