    Wow. Never knew i can use white modelling chocolate in place of fondant. Can i use the modelling chocolate in the same way as fondant to cover the cake. Like making a huge circle and cover it from above and sides?

    • @gayathriraanicookspot
      @gayathriraanicookspot  7 років тому +3

      The draping will be tougher as the modelling chocolate is not as flexible as fondant. But you can mix fondant and modelling chocolate 50:50 and proceed as with fondant. It will be more flexible and tastes awesome.

    can we store the left white chocolate modelling in refrigerator or in room temperature

    • @gayathriraanicookspot
      @gayathriraanicookspot  7 років тому +1

      Always store modelling chocolate at room temp. Just cling wrap it twice or thrice and place in an air tight box. It keeps well even for a year.

    Which taste is better foundant or modeling chocolate

    • @yunelsonsr
      @yunelsonsr 6 років тому +1

      Modeling Chocolate will taste better than Fondant. Take in consideration also that Fondant is yes edible but doesn't mean it really needs to be consumed. That is why there is a crumb coat and filling.
      If you eat everything including the outer cover of the cake be it fondant, icing or modeling chocolate it is natural that flavors will be either too sweet or have a bad taste. In short it is really for decoration.

    nice technique...but one question.while working with modelling chocolate my chocolate melts quickly n become too limp to handle.what should b done

    • @gayathriraanicookspot
      @gayathriraanicookspot  8 років тому +2

      May be there is too much glucose in your clay recipe. It makes a very soft clay which might be hard to handle. Try using little bit less of the syrup.

    • @gayathriraanicookspot

      Modelling chocolate is combination of chocolate and glucose syrup. Fondant is icing sugar, gelatin and corn syrup dough. Both are totally different.

    Please tell before applying chocolate on the cake do we have to use ganache or whipped will also go gud

    • @yunelsonsr
      @yunelsonsr 6 років тому +1

      Modeling chocolate is heavy. You need a stable structure of a cake to hold a heavy cake covering. If you use whipped cream icing, it will not hold.

  • @kirtikamarwaha385
    @kirtikamarwaha385 6 років тому

    As I uses only whipped cream don't know how to uae ganache over the cake

    • @yunelsonsr
      @yunelsonsr 6 років тому +1

      Ganache is Compound Chocolate + Heavy Whip Cream with at least 35% Fat Content. The ratio depends on how hard you want your Ganache to set. More Chocolate than cream will be hard to hardest. More Cream will be of course opposite.
      I use 3 parts Chocolate to 1 part Cream by weight. Boil the cream and pour over chopped chocolate pieces and wait until almost all chocolate is melting. You can then use an immersion blender and strain the ganache. Let it cool down until spreading consistency of peanut butter.

    • @gayathriraanicookspot
      @gayathriraanicookspot  6 років тому

      No. When you add the liquid glucose, it hardens.
