- Scott interviewed by his friend Jarvis Cocker on BBC Radio 6. This was broadcast on the 2nd December 2012 to help promote Bish Bosch. From a newspaper interview around this time it was mentioned that Scott had a biking accident and damaged a tooth - this may explain the sibilance in his speech.
Jarvis is amazing and Scott is amazing. This is heaven.
Just Love his work ... Love the Walker Brothers ... They
''Oh my god, the interviewer sounds like Jarvis Cocker!'', I thought to myself before I read the description. Great interview!
RIP Scott 💔 So glad you stuck to your guns 👏
An outstanding interview Thanks for sharing.
This guy does visionary work. I just heard Bish Bosch and never heard anything like that in my whole life. He is miles above everyone else, in the avant garde world.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last couple of weeks :)
@Emmanuel Grey yup, have been using instaflixxer for years myself =)
Its like captain beefheart but instead of funny its horrifying
Wow, Scott is 70 years old now. Long may he reign.
this music goes over my head by about 50,000 feet
+Epicer Elliot A very healthy acknowledgement, sir.
Yeah, better than just claiming that it's crap.
this interview is as long as one of the tracks on bish bosch
2020 listening.❤️ December.💜🥰
Interesting that his speaking voice has barely altered in almost 50 years, and his accent not at all
grande maestro!
This interview is about as long as songs on the album
jarvis cocker takes his top off?
You are right. I deserve 20 lashes with a wet noodle.:o)
Agreed. Scott = God
Sounds like chuck palunick O_O
Did you leave your sense of humor in your other pocket? Check, I'll bet it's still there.
Shame about the Stuart hall stuff. This must've been just before he was nabbed.
Don't even try to figure Scott Walker out, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
You are now officially my favourite person in this whole world!
I enjoy how he talks about music. I enjoy hearing about his process.
Schade um diesen wunderschönen Mann mit ebensolcher Stimme.😢
Great interview!!
Don't be ridiculous and don't embarrass him. He is a human being, like you and I
Radio as you won't often get it. What a slice of Music history we have here.
What a fantastic speaking voice Scott had I would have loved a conversation with him. Mayb one day. Love u always Scott, Arlene xxxx
no one makes music from another dimesion but scott!!!
Apparently, everyone in the whole wide world has an accent. Its just that everyone thinks they don't
'Take that accidentally in the bollocks for a start' sounds like a Derek and Clive line.
True artist.
Big impact on my music development.
R.I.P.Scott Walker.
This man is genuine ! I like his work, from the fifties till up now. you have to have patience and understanding.please continue making your music, Scott, and on your therms...
genius
Great interview! It's true that the new album goes in a lot of different ways, and Scott Walker doesn't seem interested in explaining the reason behind everything, but to me the album feels in part like a stab at pop art, more specifically pop music, easy listening, all that stuff. It is like he juxtaposes complacency with pathos. Like singing "they are people dying out there but let's dance the bossa nova, darling". That kind of sentiment. Perhaps a critique of Y Generation "insouciance".
:)
Excellent . Scott is God.
I always find it humorous that the English think we ( Americans) have an accent. You are the ones with the accent lol

Well said !!
the Stuart Hall reference is a bit unfortunate, given the events of this week. Having said that, what a great interview.....many thanks.
