I could listen to this master talk all day long . A staggering artist. I would love to see his cd collection ,his books god even what tea bags he drank. Really really going to miss this guy . Pretty much a God to me .
Eugenio Negro The last 5 1/2 albums from Scott have all gone up in perceived quality over the years. I’d say Tilt through BB are 10s, now that I’ve let them settle in. Remarkable.
8 years ago I listened to 2 of the tracks and nothing else, I just could not begin to get into it lol. Revisted it about a year ago and now I love it as well. RIP Scott
It all clicked for me with Tilt. Easily one of my all time favorite records. I still have yet to spend as much time with the Drift, Soused and Bish Bosch, for which I’m so thankful, as i can only see my appreciation deepening immeasurably with time.
Scott sounds so much better now and relaxed, it's a pleasure Scott to listen to you and I wish you were more available on the media, I want to connect with you. Keep going you really are wonderful. I'm 62 and I first met you when I was 15. You really have been my life.
I’m happy to hear he liked Radiohead. They are my number one band and also huge fans of Scott. I heard about Scott Walker when “On Your Own Again” was used in the Meeting People Is Easy documentary
Thank you so much for this. Revealing to hear Scott's views on various subjects, especially his famous voice. I think he is very much a poet. He has been emphasising the importance and fundamental role of his lyrics for a very long time, and builds his creations from that.
I love his voice with the Walkers and his early solo music. I never understood his later music. Now, I know he has passed away. Very sad. A great singing voice!
7:45 onwards is an amazing insight into "SDSS14+13B" - all those sinister Roman numerals throughout the song are phone numbers scrawled on a Roman toilet wall. What a wonderful, thoughtful interview this is. I love how Walker says he's not trying to be difficult with his music!
As pop singer he was best i think him and Mersybeats were two best voices. But i see he was artist tryen to do art. Fellini in pop. But emotion as singer on as Walker Brothers. His song True love Never Dies. I miss guy. Allways look young.
Tordah90 Why are radiohead and tame impala "corny rich kid rock"? I don't understand that characterization. I understand TI has become a "hipster" favorite with their last albums slightly more poppy leanings, and radiohead has had that indie darling status for years now, but they've both got some wonderful experimental music that's not accessible or "hip" at all. Have you ever listened to their albums with an open mind to the merits of the art, not considering the hype, but just the art? Just curious, as I find that characterization bizarre. At any rate, I agree on the Gira suggestion! I imagine that would be overwhelming to say the least. Cheers.
I don't know what I expected Walker to sound like; but I'm always shocked by how NORMAL he sounds. He sounds like the older guy at the grocery store who is enthusiastically telling you how great the blackberries are this season.

i realize it is kind of randomly asking but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
@Conrad Gideon Flixportal :)
@Elian Thaddeus Thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it !!
@Conrad Gideon you are welcome :D
Does anyone have a lead on Walkers movie and record collection?
Ease into it is for real. It took me 6 years to get into this record, now I fully get it and love it

It took me 10 years to like Tilt I get what you mean

This is the first time I've heard Scott sound so genuinely happy and comfortable in an interview.
Scott sounds so much better now and relaxed, it's a pleasure Scott to listen to you and I wish you were more available on the media, I want to connect with you. Keep going you really are wonderful. I'm 62 and I first met you when I was 15. You really have been my life.
No matter whether he is singing or just talking. Love his voice. RIP beautiful man. 💔💔
He was so clear in his intentions, his thinking - and so open things at the same time: the qualities of a true artist.
I so Love his voice,Great interview..
If there's a better conversation with a great artist I'd love to hear it. Bravo Stuart Maconie, thank you Mr Walker, and blessings to the uploader.
Beautiful man beautiful voice ❤️ RIP Scott 💔 We are still listening 😢👏
If you just listened to Scott here, you might think he’s in his 30s. He sounds so good haha a true genius
Scott really sounds happy here. Keep going, Scott!
“It’s the best interview I’ve had so far” yep
I’m happy to hear he liked Radiohead. They are my number one band and also huge fans of Scott. I heard about Scott Walker when “On Your Own Again” was used in the Meeting People Is Easy documentary
So sad he never got the chance to try something else after this trilogy. Love his work. Would have loved to see what he would have come out with next.
you haven't heard Soused then?
@@jameshodson3450 No. Not heard of it.
@@slumdogjay you're in for a treat then
I hear Scott Walker in recent Bowie and definitely Bryan Ferry. Walker is their master!
In the case of Bowie, the influence is acknowledged by him. Don't know about Brian Ferry.

What a genius!
My man!
Really happy Scott admires two of my favorites Radiohead and St.Vincent
Phew, just been listening to Strech, normal service is resumed.
As pop singer he was best i think him and Mersybeats were two best voices. But i see he was artist tryen to do art. Fellini in pop. But emotion as singer on as Walker Brothers. His song True love Never Dies. I miss guy. Allways look young.
I had no idea Scott was such a boho cool man, i enjoyed his version of 'No Regrets' but his later work escaped me
I knew it. I knew that he would love Radiohead. Too often, Radiohead (and Scott Walker) is the only music that does it for me .
Love SW
Interesting as always. Did Scott get interviewed for ‘Soused’?
RIP.
Pretty bummed out about Radiohead & Tame Impala, corny rich kid rock. Still, Scott is the man. Would love to see him collaborate with Michael Gira.
Tordah90 Scott Walker and Michael Gira would be so dark and depressing it would cause mass depression and suicides across the world...still I'd buy it
Me too! :D

Radiohead, by now, sounds very American and dated. But there's something fresh in Tame Impala.
It's great that people are able to connect & enjoy their work.
I shouldn't be such a biased cynical asshole. more power to you all!
"I haven't seen the wasteland" was that meant as a joke?
I think it's just unusual phrasing, as someone might say "looked at". It's clear from his subsequent comment about collage that he knows what TWL is.
great artist. made a bad choice
Yes i agree .he took drama play in music but his pop so good so hard to let go.
