Vivek did his own kind of town hall with the Timcast IRL crowd. It was a great show. Didn't even bother with the debate. I'm voting for Vivek because I either want him to be the presidential candidate or for him, another America First guy, to be the runner up waiting in the wings behind Trump in case Trump gets bumped off instead of establishment Haley or fence sitting DeSantis.

@@L46C3 So, a couple things. CNN only allowed specific polls to count for their criteria. They denied polls from the RNC that showed different data. Also, polls are no longer an accurate reading of the population of the country. They poll the same people over and over and CNN uses only polls to keep their narrative. Not to mention Nikki and Chris Christie are buying an increase in poll numbers (yes you can actually do that). Its why Vivek is saying CNN is rigging the election already. CNN wants to make it look like Vivek is still in single digits in polls to push Nikki Haley to the top after Trump. Hope this can give you some insight so you dont fully trust all the polling data.

I think Desantis is doing a great job in Florida. He needs to stay in Florida and stay on top of what's going on in there. There's an influx of people moving there that can vote to make it a terrible place, like Cali. Only he can prevent that.

I dont know why people hate DeSantis so much. I remember during lockdowns in NY, he had his schools open in FL. Businesses were open.
He allowed alternative treatments for covid, like those involving monoclonals. Especially for patients who had pre-existing conditions that were contra-indications for the mandated vaccine. He got so much crap for this specifically, they called him irresponsible. They tried blocking availability of these alternate treatment in FL.
When the "dont say gay" policy passed in FL, everyone demonized him.
He pushed back on alot of issues. And people really forgot how hard he pushed back against everyone else in 2020-2021.

The sad thing about Desantis is that there is no one that would do a better job than him. He is a master at policy and getting things done. No one would do more to turn this country around. Sadly because he is not great on the stage and not great at the phony act of politics we will have to settle for someone better on the stage and far worse at getting things done. The more I listen to Nikki Haley the more I feel a disconnect. I hear her say "we need to do this" -or- "we should do this..." without a followup solution! She says what the audience already knows and doesn't offer a direction or a plan.
