@gearsassassin123 - No, watch the very end of the first Dead Space. When he escapes then, he is in a similar shuttle and turns around to see his dead girlfriend jump out (Hallucination), and that's how that one ends. Isaac is just remembering that, and turns around, expecting something. But it's just Ellie.

I'm glad I watched this AFTER finishing the game, because it was so great. I was seriously sad when the credits popped up because I thought Isaac would die. Then Ellie popped in...yay!
Best plot ever
There are certain sections in the game that require vacuum suits for progress, hence the helmet.

His name is Director Tideman. he ends up being the main antagonist in the game.
In the first game, when Issac gets on a shuttle to leave, he looks to his side and Nicole pops up, screaming in his face which was only his imagination.
