The most you’d get is someone writing in their notebook. But these days it’s gross, how many people want to be on camera and document everything instead of just doing the things. I used to train recruits, and for four years, each year you saw a decline in the quality of people graduating high school. Each year, and we kept numbers that can verify it. It was hard to watch. It seems like the pendulum has swung pretty far in this direction and people are kinda over it. Hopefully things start to go back the other way and things find equilibrium.

I can’t stand the gym culture now, I’ve always worked out because I love the way I feel and I love my progress results. I never started working out to take pictures for attention or to get women. Now it seems most only workout to show off online and so many people don’t seem to actually love it passionately. Wish i could go back to at least before 2015.

I’m glad my employer has a full gym for us on site. They have a fully enforced dress code policy in place for everyone that uses it. We don’t have any of this bs there because you have something to lose should you get stupid. Losing a gym membership isn’t on the table, you’ll lose your job and that fear keeps people in line there.

I grew up in the gym, my dad trained pro athletes and at one point owned his one gym. I can’t stand the gym culture now, I’ve always worked out because I love the way I feel and I love my progress results. I never started working out to take pictures for attention or to get women. Now it seems most only workout to show off online and so many people don’t seem to actually love it passionately. Wish i could go back to at least before 2015.

I went to the gym one day and there was a chick in there wearing a tight body suit with cleavage almost down to her navel. She had a face plastered with makeup, false eyelashes that looked cartoonish with how fluffy they were, a bad hair dye job and she barely worked out. It was clear she didn’t come there to get the kind of workout from the gym. I saw it as a cry for help but it made me mad all at the same time. I couldn’t figure out why the gym let her workout like that. I saw her in there again wearing another bodysuit that didn’t have that level of cleavage but was still too revealing.

I got to overhear some younger (than me) gals that were making plans for the evening. Neither had any money they wanted to spend. Their tactics were to find a couple of guys to lead on, even making out a bit if necessary, for free drinks. I remember being viewed as a creep by the person I told my experience too. I was doing sit-ups. Then, a woman proceeds to sit on the bike machine almost directly in front of me. Her leggings were so thin that I could see her underwear when she was leaning forward on the bike machine. Her butt was eye level. The person I told this story to (a woman) said she didn't want to hear this anymore in a tone indicating that she was feeling uncomfortable.
The woman on the bike machine was not the victim, and the woman listening to the story of my experience was not the victim!
