Honestly one of the more concerning things when it comes to the future of Chinese industry versus Western. The west is so concerned with IP nonsense, proprietary ecosystems, and locking down everything, while CN is making increasingly high quality and much more open/well documented/repairable machinery. West could learn from Chinese industry, even just in attitude to the customer.

I've always been fascinated with these Chinese factories. It's as if they are all genius's, but with a lot of limited resources...working together to produce whatever products they see people want. They make a platform machine, open source parts, that you can afford at an entry price. You have to then go back over it and replace the cheap components such as switches and knobs. It's like a Jeep. You buy it, then replace the crappy mopar v6 with a Chevy v8, then the off road suspension, better parts, wheels, tires, and mods. Why buy it at a premium if you are just going to mod it? The average Joe can replace all these little cheap chinzy parts that saved you up front money. Platform and open source. No liability cause you bought a product as-is from another land.
Agreed. Never really thought of it that way, but you are right. That’s how my mini excavator seems to be. I done have anything to upgrade on this one yet though. Just change the LED lights to flood lights for a wider beam, add a tool storage area under the hood, tie down points on the rear and a place to mount my tripod and camera gear. Haha.
I wonder if all chinese factories with offices are laid out like this. I could swear that the layout of that place is 1:1 with the factory of the company I worked for 10 years ago in Shanghai.

While China infrastructure companies are state-owned, SME and many big consumer product companies generally are privately-owned. Large segments of China economy is functioning capitalism.
The term is Market-Socialism i believe. Socialism is a transition stage so similar to Capitalism but with less power to business owner/wealthy class to control the country. Its essentially a promise that the societies direction will be a classless, moneyless society over generations in a pragmatic way
Not sure about Market-Socialism label but my own experiences were the Capitalism segment of China economy is more capitalist than US and EU. China private companies compete fiercely with each other and with foreign companies on capability, quality and price. China govt doesn’t get involved in their normal business operations. US and foreign companies take advantage of this pure capitalist, free-for-all, survival-of the-fittest competition for businesses in China to reap huge profit margin while bankrupt many smaller China companies operating on thin margin because of unethical actions by US and foreign Global Supply Managers (GSM) or buyers. These stories don’t get publicized in U.S. and European media. US privatized (for profit) its infrastructure companies so Americans in many metro areas subjected to high utility bills and high rate increases. China govt retains control of infrastructure companies mainly to ensure its citizens get stable and affordable utility costs so in a way it’s the subsidized or socialism part of its economy. Foreign companies manufacture in China enjoy govt utility, land and tax subsidies just as its domestic companies do so it’s level and fair playing field. This part doesn’t publicize in US and European media. US and European govt (national and state/provincial level) have same or similar subsidy programs to attract local investment and manufacturing. The disinformation or biased in media coverage with intent to manipulate public opinion viewpoints and opinions is usually when the media focus and mention of one subsidy while not mentioning the other similar subsidy. My own experiences at street level were US and Europe are actually more socialistic with its private enterprises than China is.
Sometimes you hear from fiery US politicians grandstanding, scaremongering, broad stroking that all Chinese companies are agents of CCP govt or answering to CCP govt. Well of course all operating companies in China, foreign and domestic, “answer” to CCP govt. In U.S. the “answer” calls federal and state regulations. Every companies operate in U.S., foreign and domestic, have to “answer” or follow US federal, state, local laws and regulations. Same in Europe. China is no different. It’s the same in all functional countries around the world. My own experiences were China govt welcome foreign companies and the average Chinese welcome foreigners and I believe they still are. It’s sad for me to see how anti-China rhetorics in U.S. govt and media are stirring up hostility and resentment when they should work out any difference in mutual respectful manner instead of mud slinging. Regarding China stealing U.S. jobs, it’s US company executives that decide the outsourcing to wherever they want and not China govt. decision to make. So accountability is in order. The jobs go to China are mostly slow-skilled, mind-numbing, repetitive-assembly jobs that US companies have hard time to staff or just want to increase profit margin for stock holders. China govt and ordinary Chinese have no say in those decisions. If not China, US companies would just move to Mexico, India, Vietnam, Thailand, etc… and not back to US.
I really like the bent hard line for the hydraulics and the fully welded chassis lower. It is nice to see them being assembled to see that they are being made well. People forget that "Chinese" machines and tools aren't necessarily crap. China is a HUGE country with MILLIONS of manufacturers all pushing different machines out the door with various designs and techniques. Of course maybe one or two of the manufacturers might not be up to this quality but to generalize the quality of manufacturing of a country the size of Europe by a few bad eggs. We see German manufacturing differently to Italian, French, Swiss or Czech but don't recognize that China is all of those countries with all of those levels of good and bad under one name and its unfair to judge it all as if all of China is the same.
The Chinese will make whatever quality you are willing to pay for, this company takes pride and makes higher quality. The general stigma of “Chinese made” is often because of companies willing to make stuff as cheap as possible because a company over here demanded it.
I really want the V1000 with Honda Diesel, plus loader, brush cutter etc. Any idea how much US $$ I am looking at? Really enjoy your videos and look forward to more. PS are you able to phone Dean at the factory to spec out your order

I'm a little curious. Do manufacturing plants like the one shown inside the video still exist in the US? Or were such small workshops (small factories) in abundance in the US in the past?
No idea, but I’d like to know as well. With all of our rules, regulations, taxes and fees, a workshop like that here would cost millions and millions more I’m sure.
@@OurLifeInTrees As a native of Shandong, I'd like to say that we actually have quite a few similar cases here, but it's probably the fire or environmental protection department ...... because local government revenues have been tighter in recent years
Toro is the original maker of the "dingo" mini skidsteer. Bobcat licenses it from them. Many other manufacturers have their own variety of mini skidsteer.
The only problem I see in this factory is that the grinding and welding happens in the same room as the assembly. Dirt is the death of hydraulics. Grinding and welding for this reason is problematic. Could be solved by separating the areas. A sheet would be enough.
I am still waiting for you to answer my questions. How much did this cost (including shipping), were you able to get shipping to your door, and how much were the attachments?
I apologize for the delay. Im behind on all the comments, there are so many these days. I paid about $8500 for the machine and then another $8k for all the attachments. That’s shipped DDP to me here in Oklahoma. I had it shipped to a business with a forklift so that they could load it on my trailer for me.
I’m not very familiar with the 320. I know it’s smaller and a two pump setup. I read about the models in the Derette brochure but personally haven’t used or seen one.
I will keep buying quality machines from KUBOTA they have very good engineering. When these Chinese machines break you will wish you bought a Kubota that provides you with a complete workshop manual that actually tells you how to fix your machine as well as parts available for old machines.
I was going to spend $40,000 for a Kubota and then realized that I don’t have access to that much for a toy. Instead I spent $8500 and am very pleased.
There are many many names on these machines. Mine has a decal that says Derette. Many have other names. Hightop, infront, loongshen, knight, Kymron, groundhog, bull, etc etc
So basically the CHASSIS is in House built, the rest are assemblies purchased from other manufacturers . This is soo good, ya can hv ya own brand name ..
There maybe some safety violations. But they aren't super major and unfixable. I see some PPE ( personnel protective equipment) being used. There are clear and unblocked exits during an emergency. The factory layout is not-cramped, with parts generally kept in their designated places. I did not see fire extinguishers, exit signs etc. They could be there, simply not showing up on the video. The possible violations are the PPE (helmets), safety labelling and markings and noise isolations. But then, we do know not the Chinese OSHA stands on these either.
Do you know dimensions of the crates they were shipped in? Also im going to order everything same as you. Out of the ones you have had a chance to use, are they worth buying and do you recommend them?
That’s strange. We just tested it and the Alibaba one works for me, but doesn’t work for my girlfriend. The Facebook one works for her. www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Cheapest-EPA-EURO5-skid-steer-loader_1601203395089.html?spm=a2747.product_manager.0.0.21c971d2uEsjGJ

Did they change the group name after your video? BTW how much was your machine because I clicked buy one and it was $4k machine and $4k shipping for total of $8k.

My grandma has a radio built in the 1957 and it still is solid as hell. Had a 64 Ford sedan that ran till 2004. Some of my friends own knives that their grand parents handed down to them from the 1930s.

I appreciate the feedback.
Very cool factory tour.
Thanks I thought so
Awesome information! Thanks
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
Wow wow wow… great stuff.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Thank you for posting the video!!!
I appreciate the feedback!
Nice video...thanks for sharing
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Haha.
I don't have a need for any of the machines here. But damn, I wanna buy one now😅
Hahaha that’s how I felt!!
Thanks for the video! Any idea where can I find those specific golf carts?
You can contact Dean at Derette. Dean@deretteloader.com

Woooh! I want one.....!!!
That’s what I said!!
Very cool video! Always love seeing how things are made at mass production scale. Looks like a really good factory.
Thanks. I thought it was really cool.
I wonder if all chinese factories with offices are laid out like this. I could swear that the layout of that place is 1:1 with the factory of the company I worked for 10 years ago in Shanghai.
lol that’s strange. Who knows. Maybe they are? 🤷♂️
looks nice 👍
Thank you. I like it!
Man. I actually want one of these little Loaders! Then I can make a backyard track for my videos
Ohhh yes! I have thought about making a track for my boys and I to ride our XR70s and CRF50s on. lol
Buying directly from the manufactures, that's why the internet commerce is more developed in China, and why the prices are low, because the consumers don't pay for the dealers and shopping malls.
So true
In 17:36 it is not a welding shop. If it was there would be a lot of welders working, there is not. It's some kind of holding building.
That may be. It’s pretty cool anyway though.
very good
Thank you.
HAHAHA THAT WAS MY V1000! Bunners Land & hardscape design!!!! Love it! Can't beat it for the cost
That’s awesome! I saw it and had to google your company to see where it was going! I saw in your company’s Facebook, you have a Kubota mini skid in a photo. How do they compare? Or do you have the v1000 yet?
What was the cost?
@@OurLifeInTrees it runs almost just like the kubota scl1000. No complaints at all well worth 15k shipped to my door!
@@ripperwrestling6587 15k with an auger forks and bucket shipped to my front door

I’m a long ways away from you in Oklahoma, USA.
Dude for real keep these videos coming I love skids machines
That’s the plan. Thank you. I just a now getting to use these machines but so far it’s awesome.
Once u tried chinese products you are hooked. They make soo much cool stuff
They really do! And I can afford a lot of it. I can’t afford American machines.
I missed where they manufactured a part. I only saw assembly.
There was a guy welding in the corner and a guy grinding welds.
Great video. New Sub from NE Okla. Keep it up
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Another Okie! Nice. I live in Norman and have a place is SE Oklahoma, east of Talihina.
I am impressed! If not for the big government and middlemen we could purchase some low cost quality equipment.
Thats true.
How long did it take you to get and What was the total cost of the unit and all the attachments? Can you do a breakdown of all costs?
It took about 2 months all in. It was around $17k shipped to me in Oklahoma. I’ll have a cost breakdown video coming soon.

Gotta run. How do we buy with Kubota engine?
They make a machine called the V1000 with the Kubota or Perkins engine options. Email Dean@Deretteloader.com and you can ask him about them. I plan to get a V1000 with the Kubota soon. Tell Dean you I sent you as well.
V1000 looks pretty nice. Does it take the same bucket attachments as a bobcat mt100
Agreed. I’m not sure. That’s one of the things I would like to test when I get one.
Nice
Thanks
I look forward to you covering the ditch digger, stump grinder, any input on their mulcher and more on their brush hog! Good job on your coverage of the 450!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
So far the trencher is a big win, the stump grinder I need to practice with, the brush cutter is AMAZING!!! Videos coming soon.
Great Video Presentation for this factory. I like that VT1000 with the diesel. Wish it had automatic bucket leveling, otherwise it will dump that dirt in your face.
I like that one too. I’d really like to get one to try out next. If anyone can dump a bucket of dirt on their face, I’m that guy! lol.
@@OurLifeInTrees When you are loading a truck or trailer with high sides, it's a risk because you are focused on not damaging the sides of the truck/trailer. Last thing you want is a bunch of 6" rocks falling out dinging up your loader hood and ricocheting off your hood into your face.
While China infrastructure companies are state-owned, SME and many big consumer product companies generally are privately-owned. Large segments of China economy is functioning capitalism.
That’s why I have been led to believe.
I agree. It is certainly not all created equal. I really like this machine.
Would be nice with a quality source for Chinese generators, where to get the quality and tested ones.
Agreed. I have a Harbor Freight Predator inverter generator, and it’s great
The Chinese will make whatever quality you are willing to pay for, this company takes pride and makes higher quality. The general stigma of “Chinese made” is often because of companies willing to make stuff as cheap as possible because a company over here demanded it.
Agreed. Thanks for your comment
I really want the V1000 with Honda Diesel, plus loader, brush cutter etc. Any idea how much US $$ I am looking at? Really enjoy your videos and look forward to more. PS are you able to phone Dean at the factory to spec out your order
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
The V1000 comes with a Kubota or Perkins diesel engine. My 450 comes with 3 gas engine choices. I have the Honda. My 450 was about $8500 shipped to me here in Oklahoma. The v1000 is about $3k more plus more shipping because of the weight.

@@OurLifeInTrees As a native of Shandong, I'd like to say that we actually have quite a few similar cases here, but it's probably the fire or environmental protection department ...... because local government revenues have been tighter in recent years
@@famousraperandrapperkriswu656interesting. I’ve never been there but it all seems very interesting.
Toro is the original maker of the "dingo" mini skidsteer. Bobcat licenses it from them. Many other manufacturers have their own variety of mini skidsteer.
Yup. SCL1000, MT100, etc.
Good video, thank you. Next they gonna have their own powder coating, doesn't cost much
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
Yeah, not expensive to do in house at all.
The only problem I see in this factory is that the grinding and welding happens in the same room as the assembly. Dirt is the death of hydraulics. Grinding and welding for this reason is problematic.
Could be solved by separating the areas. A sheet would be enough.
Interesting point. I can’t disagree with that.
17:07 You speak about buying this stuff but did you list the price?
I haven’t said the price besides in the comments. I paid about $8500 shipped for this and another $8k shipped of attachments.
Impressive.
I think so. Thanks
Amazing
Thanks. I thought so too
I am still waiting for you to answer my questions.
@@OurLifeInTrees thank you, sorry for my impatience, I want to get one ordered!! Thx
@@Navillus2273I can relate. I don’t like waiting either. lol
Did you figure out where to order?
@@JustinCox76yes. I ordered from Dean at Derette on Alibaba. The link is in the video description.
can you use any attachment on them?
No. It uses toro dingo and I heard bobcat attachments. Also its own attachments.
When are you going to break down the whole cost of the machine and attachments. The total of the cost start to finish thanks
I plan to have a video soon with the full breakdown of costs
Where do you get any parts you need????
I can order them from Derette. It does take a week or two. A lot of the parts are available locally as they are common parts. B
In this video, are you showcasing the 320? What’s your opinion on the differences from 320 to the DRT450?
I’m not very familiar with the 320. I know it’s smaller and a two pump setup. I read about the models in the Derette brochure but personally haven’t used or seen one.
I will keep buying quality machines from KUBOTA they have very good engineering. When these Chinese machines break you will wish you bought a Kubota that provides you with a complete workshop manual that actually tells you how to fix your machine as well as parts available for old machines.
I was going to spend $40,000 for a Kubota and then realized that I don’t have access to that much for a toy. Instead I spent $8500 and am very pleased.
green does pop as you say because of john deere green
Agreed. I think that this green is more like a Kawasaki green. Or maybe Dodge sublime green. lol.
Never would believe that the name on the machine would be the maker, you imagine that Mars is made by Lego and the mane on the bar is just show.

Just found your channel. I am following closely on the skid steer.
Awesome. I appreciate the support
Hi there, do they also manufacturer mini rice harvesters? Im curious where to inquire. Thanks!
No idea who would make those. I would guess Derette doesn’t either but I’m not 100% sure. There is contact info for my salesman in the description.
Wow can I buy your factory ?
If only it were mine.
No OSHA there... lol... Thanks for this great info
Agreed. OSHA would not approve.
80% of government officers owned engineering degree, compared 80% government officers are lawyers in USA.
Looks like they have a overhead crane , to lift them ..
Yeah I saw that. Pretty cool.
Do you know dimensions of the crates they were shipped in? Also im going to order everything same as you. Out of the ones you have had a chance to use, are they worth buying and do you recommend them?
