So ST elevation is never positive?

Do you mean positive deflection or positive charge?
Basically your heart is stuck in a contracting state. Like a cramp, it’s struggling to completely depolarize due to myocardial ischemia in the coronary artery. The vector is deflecting positive as it passes through purkinje fibers but on halt before it can’t completely contract the entire chamber. Action potential is forced to drop below J point or above Jpoint prematurely.

Is this only applicable (80msec after J point) to ST seg depression on stress ECG? Or can you apply it to resting ECG as well like a patient coming into the ER?
