Hadrien is téchnically the best bass player i have seen, in terms of phrasing spead, he doesn't seem to have liimits. Gwizdala is more personal and his phrasing is very expressive. Beatiful Jam.
@@luishernandezbass9796 Hadrien has some of the best chops out there but creatively, and thus overall, I prefer Gwizdala. Listen to that solo at the beginning!!
I'm just saying that Janek has a sense of direction 100% of the time, both when soloing and comping. That is a huge factor in what makes a solo interesting. Janek plays shorter than both Hadrien and Otmar, but his solo stands out to me way more. His solo is like a coherent story being told that you can't stop listening to. Hadrien just doesn't have that!
wow Hadrien ..; Awsome playing as usual , great musicality ... feelings , and killer chops ..thanks for sharing , !!! Thanks Tom ,Janek and Otmaro , such a great Rythm section..
All tremendous playing... Janek, your ideas are some of the most musical, heartfelt expressions that I have heard on any instrument in a very long time. Truly genius... thanks for sharing this!
Hi Janek, Wow... Thanks for Sharing this video, I've added it to one of my favourites, its one of those that you just don't want to end, Awesome and Tasty, I look forward to more, God bless, ebplayers..
I think both these guys are amazing. Hadrien does come across as really technical, but what he's playing harmonically is really nice, it just seems masked by that lack of rhythmic change in the intense passages. Janek's also ridiculously talented technically but there's less showing off with him. Awesome vid Janek, you guys rock!
crazy, Janek Gwizdala, pulls off the absolute guitar show, on top of that it also sounds great ... Hadrien Feraud is visibly pleased but then somehow waits for the conclusion of the soli ... and answers ...!
Janek really sang here, and Hadrien killed it as well. Seen a lot of comments saying who took a better ride etc etc. Comparing them ruins the experience, but if you have to do it, consider that Janek had the benefit of introducing the head as well as taking the first ride, and his tone was great and really filled out a lot of space. Hadrien had to follow a blaring 3 and a half minute keyboard solo. He didn't have a lot of vibe to work with after that, it was a weak hand off and by that point people might have grown tired of the changes. It would have worked better if Hadrien had followed Janek and they'd let keyboard player shred the rest of it out after that.
Hadrien killed it! Janek got much of his phrasing from Metheny whom song it belongs to. Hadrien had spot on the moment playing using which ever key they were playing in.
Yeahhh !! Amazing ...Hadrien sounds perfect , thanks Janek for sharing those great moments .. Mr Ruiz solo is awesome ..such a great quartet , you all guys ,should think of developing this magical formation ... cheers
@Techdrome I didn´t even know that Janek tune strings same as Garrison. The first one was Dominnique Dipiazza. In fact, long time ago Garrison asked to Dominique about tunning strings EADGC, Whereas Dominnique was the firt bass player using 4 fingers right hand technique in the 70`s
That's RIGHT! thanks man... I know Brecker's version from Tales From the Hudson best. Couldn't place it. Thanks! You just totally killed it, brotha.. love your playing
Plays just like him as well. Plus, You can see Tom all over YTbe, plays with one whale of a lot of top guys, check him out in "Three' and "Third Rail' w/Geo Whitty.
Hey Janek, try and put a little feeling in your playing.... LOL Holy crap you were grovin... most inspirational. Had seemed to need an expresso at first, till his solo!
@brownchambersheath hey thanks man, I understand your point now, if your saying that his playing doesnt inspire you than im cool with that. I know that some people arnt Had fans because of how he plays, thats cool, its just when people decide to say that his playing is actaully bad or he is not any good on bass thats when i just wont agree with whoever says it, not just because i personally like his style, but in general i think its not correct to say that about any good bass player.
Hadrien is téchnically the best bass player i have seen, in terms of phrasing spead, he doesn't seem to have liimits. Gwizdala is more personal and his phrasing is very expressive. Beatiful Jam.
How about Richard Bona?
Am agree with you hadrien is the best
@@luishernandezbass9796 Hadrien has some of the best chops out there but creatively, and thus overall, I prefer Gwizdala. Listen to that solo at the beginning!!
@@c.l.368 Yeah Janeks vocabulary is much much more refined and more enjoyable to listen to.
I always feel like Janek's solo's come from somewhere deep inside and he really feels like he is trying to talk to you.
Keyboard solo was fantastic!
One of the best improvisations I have seen Janek sir , Brutally Beautiful … ❤ from 🇮🇳
Hadrien is a beast, no doubt about that.. but here Janek blow minds with his expressivity.
Agree ☝️
I come back to this video more than any other on UA-cam. Janek is simply on fire and his harmonic and melodic sensibilities and groove really shine!
Same here.... Janek is pure music here..... And the SOUND...
Top 3 Janek solos and grooves, easily... he's just a master on this one

Hadrien is left-brain, Janek is right-brain!
Two giant masters !
Such great melodic lines and sound Janek! And a true Super Mario jump at 02:35 !! We just made a backing track for this amazing tune:)

wow Hadrien ..; Awsome playing as usual , great musicality ... feelings , and killer chops ..thanks for sharing , !!! Thanks Tom ,Janek and Otmaro , such a great Rythm section..
Man. I remember this well. Can't believe it's been so long!
All tremendous playing... Janek, your ideas are some of the most musical, heartfelt expressions that I have heard on any instrument in a very long time. Truly genius... thanks for sharing this!
Why the name of Otmaro RuiZ isn't mentioned? He deserves it more than anyone, 'cause he' s a real Genius, yes, GENIUS, JAZZ GENIUS.
Have always Loved Hadriens Style cool Laid back and collected, just shredding without getting all crazy up there on stage. damn he’s a beast!
Hi Janek, Wow... Thanks for Sharing this video, I've added it to one of my favourites, its one of those that you just don't want to end, Awesome and Tasty, I look forward to more,

Wow..... That was just..... Monsterous on all fronts!!!
I think both these guys are amazing. Hadrien does come across as really technical, but what he's playing harmonically is really nice, it just seems masked by that lack of rhythmic change in the intense passages.

Awesome vid Janek, you guys rock!

Broooooo... The "lick" at 0:28 is great.
crazy, Janek Gwizdala, pulls off the absolute guitar show, on top of that it also sounds great ...
Hadrien Feraud is visibly pleased but then somehow waits for the conclusion of the soli ... and answers ...!
Great playing guys...
It's great to see two of the best bass players today jam together
pat metheny on bass so cool
Nice one guys! Wish I coulda been there for it!
Janek really sang here, and Hadrien killed it as well. Seen a lot of comments saying who took a better ride etc etc.

Itz Hads new Ken Smith Burner sig!!!!....The thing looks and sounds amazing!...Just like his other Burner...Absolute best bass player alive!!!
love this man
Man, I love the way you guys did this! Janek, I want to play heads like that-awesome! What is the effect/pedal that gives that sound?
Like your thematic playing, Janek! Nice phrases!
Hadrien killed it! Janek got much of his phrasing from Metheny whom song it belongs to. Hadrien had spot on the moment playing using which ever key they were playing in.
This keyboard guy is such a dope...
That's Tom Brechtlein on drums. Got to jam with him at the Baked Potato in LA, great guy.
definitivly true... more over so many notes but..good notes and with intensity speed, space, emotion, great bass players
just burning!!
I didn't think that (very talented) keyboard player was ever going to hand off the solo...ever.
Exactly and I would have preferred a solo using the natural sound of the piano vs a solo sounding like a lead guitar
Yeahhh !! Amazing ...Hadrien sounds perfect , thanks Janek for sharing those great moments .. Mr Ruiz solo is awesome ..such a great quartet , you all guys ,should think of developing this magical formation ... cheers
cool!

WOW ,YOU GUYS ROCK! BUT I'M IN SHOCK 'CAUSE THE KEYBOARD PLAYER...... He's from my country VENEZUELA !!!!
The drummer looks like Tom Brechtlein!
+nathan arnaud he does look an awful lot like him :P
Plays just like him as well. Plus, You can see Tom all over YTbe, plays with one whale of a lot of top guys, check him out in "Three' and "Third Rail' w/Geo Whitty.
looks like him because it is him. ;)
Even with his leather pants on, You pulled the rug from under him Janek.
Hey Janek, try and put a little feeling in your playing.... LOL Holy crap you were grovin... most inspirational. Had seemed to need an expresso at first, till his solo!
@ikeweezy yea I think its Song for Bilbao
So. The name of the guy on the keys is?
Reminds me of Jan Hammer.
Hey! It looks like Janek is using a TC Nova Repeater. NICE!
Or is it Nova Drive?
I can´t see it clearly...
Fucking great video anyways...
Janek plays Markbass now?
Smokin
Is it only me who can clearly hear Pat Metheny's influence over Janek's sound and phrasing?
there seems nothing can stop ruis when he solos.
Killed it guys! So I'm a loser and I know I've heard it before... what tune is that again?!
Damian Erskine song for bilbao
@brownchambersheath hey thanks man,
I understand your point now, if your saying that his playing doesnt inspire you than im cool with that.
