Great review as always! Papri gathia are usually eaten with a cup of tea rather than a beer. If you ever make it to Leicester give me a shout, I'll take you to the shops where they make the Indian snacks so you can taste them as fresh as you can get. The Cofresh ones don't really do them justice, although their crisps are excellent!
I am a huge fan of Efes, having lived in Turkey many years ago. Efes Draft (Fici) is not as pleasent as Efes Pilsner. However, for once, I feel the cans of Efes Draft are better than the bottles of Efes Draft (not to be confused with the Efes Pilsner stubby bottles you can get in Wetherspoons). Funnily enough, I was watching the other day your review of Efes Pilsner from 2009, when you were with your family. If you can, it would be great for you to do a review of Efes pilsner in the fture. Not the green bottle variety but the stubby ones in which certain B and M and Home and Bargain outlets have it. It would be interesting to have a taste compariosn from 2009 to today.
I really quite like Efes as a holiday lager, but I think 7/10 is fair. Got to be one of the higher scoring holiday beers I imagine, unless you're holidaying in Belgium!
pass on efes draught. nothing wrong with it but it's just sweet and dry. and the sweetness is a bit too much for me. tipped most of it down the sink. just boring
I’ve had that beer weeks ago it’s ok , you forgot one important point ,the only lagers you should drink should be from Germany who have a purity law so don’t put crap chemicals in the beer , can’t understand why you have started reviewing snacks when it’s a real ale u tube site , John
That Efes is the worst beer I've tasted in a long time. The Tuborg fuci is good though. Both available in B&M. The Efes draft was terrible. It even smells shite as soon as you open it

Good to see another Leicester boy in the comments!

Love the efes draft, the do a barrel like brown bottle in home bargains for about a quid & half. Prefer it to the pilsner, but like both
I'm always drinking EFES Pilsen when I'm in Turkey....It's refreshing, much better than Turk Tuborg...
Difference is not day and night. Being from Turkey I always prefered Tuborg over Efes.

Absolutely loving the food and beer videos, cheers Simon!
Ribbed for your pleasure Simon ! 😂
I really like the malty overtone of this lager. Now I know where to go find it!
Efes do make a pilsner, it was on sale alongside the Efes draft in home bargains recently but I've not seen it on the shelf these last few weeks.
Still there, although the green bottles are not as pleaent due to the light.
@davidnicholas7695 the efes pilsner to have gone off the shelves in my nearest stores (Bridgend & Barry)
Having a bottle of this & it's a very pleasant surprise, nicer than when I had it In Turkey .
Efes is an alright beer! Got a can of it waiting for me in the fridge for later. If I remember right, I found it quite smooth aswell
I thought the same mate...there's not many snacks you don't like lol
Surprising that the snack was disapointing cofresh snacks generally quite good
Ha ha the mini wretch after the “They’re almost fishy” had me creased
had many a skinful of Efes on hot Turkish days - cheers
It is rumoured that the beer tastes fizzier when served in Turkey’s Central Aegean region. Yes...
Ephasus Efes is effervescent. (I'll see myself out!)
I’ve just had 4 cans 7 months out of date it’s a strange one for me 😮
Heads up: They've got bottles of Efes Pilsner in Home Bargains at the moment.

So you won’t be getting those again 😂

Austrian and Czech Beers also are brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot.,.
He’s been reviewing snacks for years, goes well with beer
@@martinkasper197 didn’t know that , sorry that’s good John
@@SharronHodgsoneven efes or tuborg turk brew according to reinheitsgebot. It does not always guarantee good beer.

I think this stuff is horrible! Tasted like washing up liquid.
