Among all the videos I watched on how to make a wave with epoxy resin, yours is by far the best and most practical, congratulations on your work and creativity. Thank you very much. THX a lot from Brazil 🇧🇷
Oh mam...you saved my day! I ried to make a mold with silicone for my wave but I failed so badly. It was really frustrating and I´ve lost a lot of money. I thought "there must be a much more simple way to do this". And then I´ve found your video and it really blew my mind. BIG THANK YOU. Man shaper sheet seems to be great. I will definitely use this for my future projects. Thank you so much. Great video!
For the last month I’ve been trying to figured out how to make a wave popping out of a painting. I’m not the best at sculpting and didn’t want to waste time and supplies. I’m going to try this. Thank you!!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you so so much! I’m just learning to work with resin, and I’ve been wondering how to do more of the 3-D sculpture style. So cool!
Thank you very much! It help me to undestand how to use resin in the way I always wanted to try but I didn't know how to do it. When I got my work done I will take some pictures and it over. Best regards!
Wow! It's not every day that I find a new art channel that truly excites me but you definitely have me inspired. I'm getting some of that shaper sheets asap!
Wow! You are so sweet! Thank you ! I love sharing! Hope you enjoy it! I invented it a few years ago and try to educate about its abilities. Please keep me posted.❤️
Hi! Very welcome. It’s the thin table runner from Walmart or Hobby Lobby. It has the green writing it doesn’t really say thickness but it’s like shower curtain thick. I hope that helps. It’s sold by the yard. J
Wondering if you created your mold and wave but then use it to create a silicone mold? Just thinking future waves would perhaps be easier to unmold? I have arthritis in wrists. Might be easier for those like me.
Thank you! It varies depending on the temp in the studio , but about 6 hours and then overnight for a finish cure. Really depends on the resin you use.
Thank you! There are several ways to do lights. One very cheap way is at the dollar store they have led bases that you can use or put into another base. I used nano leds from Woodland Scenics. If you need anything else just let me know. Have fun creating.
I just finished my 3D wave going step by step from your video, you are a great instructor, my wave turned out beautiful. I used the liquid diamonds resin however I used mica powder for my colour which turned out to be the only disappointing thing as it was not translucent like yours and looking like glass, it was opaque . On your video I couldn’t quite catch or perhaps more I couldn’t understand what you use for colour, it seemed like you were saying you use some sort of medium with colour but not alcohol ink. Could you explain to me what exactly you use because it is the look I am trying to achieve
Thank you so much for your kind words! Congratulations on making your wave. As for the colors that I use to tint. I don’t use alcohol inks do to fading. I use universal tints. These are the tints used at the paint store to make you paint both oil and water based. They are highly concentrated a toothpick at a time. Most paint stores will sell to you but if not you can find them online. Micas etc can be used for shimmer but use a little at a time. My Facebook is Artful - Elements , I would love to see pictures when you can. Hope this helps . Always love to help.❤️ 🥳 Happy New Year!
@@ArtfulElements thank you and happy new year to you as well. Thankyou for your quick reply and I now understand what you use although I never imagined you could buy them directly from paint stores. Would it be like a Home Depot or Lowe’s or a paint only store? The reason I ask is because I am Canadian and for the next month we are on total lock down meaning only curb side service.

Hello. I love your videos ❤️ Just wondering why you don’t wear gloves or respirator while using resin. I hate wearing all the gadgets especially the respirator so I’m hoping you know something I don’t lol
Darlene Suldickas Hello! Thank you. I do wear gloves if I am going to spread it or work with it for long periods of time. As far as a respirator goes I don’t use just any resins I have been testing resins for over 30 years and some are just nasty. Strong odor etc. so I don’t use those and I work in a open area and use a fan if needed. I have allergies to acrylates and so UV resins do make my eyes swell. There are so many things that can effect us I really recommend you do what is best for you . Always be safe and I have glasses on so that does help. I buy epoxy resin from The epoxy resin store. Hope this helps.
Hi! Deedee, In the video I show why it is difficult to use regular foil but you could sure try. Parchment would leave your piece with a matte finish and resin does stick to it as well. You could use and aluminum disposable baking pan and a heavy duty trash bag. I can’t make any guarantees that it won’t have problems. I always had leaks when I did testing. I teach so the process have to yield great results each time. If you need anything else please fill free to ask. I wish much success.❤️

My rule is there is none. When it comes to sculptures the most important is material recovery cost. Then I like to look at the area I market to and take an average for similar items. But when it’s your concept and a fresh idea you need to think about the value it brings to the potential buyers . It’s definitely not easy. Another is to find a art agent or gallery that will provide Guidance and offer you a show. If you build your brand you can charge more and gain the recognition you as an artist deserve. I have been creating all my life and I am still a work in progress. Its easy for some and for others like myself you just have to keep creating. I know this isn’t a definite answer but it’s honest . Passion to create for something greater than yourself is always a plus.❤️❤️
@@ArtfulElements you are brilliant. This is my first time watching you work, but definately not the last. I got the vinyl part but missed the shaper part. Thanks, keep up the excellent art, I enjoyed very much.
Hello! There are a couple ways . You can just measure approximately and find the volume or you can make the wave mold and then fill with water calculating from that . Be sure to get it very dry before doing resin if you do it that way. Hope this helps.
