I'm very happy to have found your video. Simple, straight forward, no extra bells and whistles with obnoxious music and crazy effects, and very beginner friendly which I appreciate as someone trying to get into the class and spec. I appreciate you explaining the general playstyle of the class, explaining the abilities and their benefits/drawbacks, even mentioning what things make the class not feel as great, and all without getting into too much technical detail, numbers, and efficiency. I've been waiting for a video that caters to a more laid back, filthy casual player like myself rather than the efficient hardcore audience, and without being talked down to. Sorry for the long comment but I'm just really glad to have discovered you. You have my sub!
I have wanted to heal with my pally for a while but never learned the Glimmer build, after watching your guide I have a much better understanding now! Thank you for taking the time in making this guide.
This video is so clear and informative. I’ve just started playing a holy paladin from a ret and it’s taking me a long time to learn but I’m going to persist with it :-)
Love the video, trying to get familiar with the spec, also how did you arrange your player portraits / raid profiles like that? I’d love to do that so I’m not looking to the side of the screen every second to see who needs healed
I've been going back and forth trying to decide between Resto Druid and Disc Priest. I just leveled a second Paladin, a Dark Iron Dwarf, and decided I'm going to main Holy Paladin. This guide is extremely helpful, Thank You!!!!!!!!!
@@soshspotgames4380 Holy Paladins will be INSANELY STRONG with the correct Legendary and conduit choices. ; ) Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, and Mistweaver Monk will be the top healers.
I don't see holy light being a filler spell with the splash healing it will do with conduits and the double IoL legggo. Feel likenits gonna be holy shock, holy light, holy light, holy shock repeat spenders in between
This guide wasn't covering conduits though, so it felt like it might confusing for some people to bring up future synergies. I'll be making guides for conduits and covenant abilities once Blizz has finalized some things. But thank you for the comment so those interested have a better idea. :)
I always level as holy, because it helps me get comfortable with my rotation and play around with talents. I always level with my rogue husband though, so damage isn't something I ever lack. I do the same thing when I level my other healers solo though. It isn't the fastest, but it teaches me my spec better, and I learn how to take care of myself on my own. Especially if I end up doing some wpvp along the way. :P
Absolutely! I'm really enjoying researching and writing the guides and I'm learning so much with video editing it feels like my head is going to explode! Lol. I'm glad you enjoy them, it means a lot! :)
This is a fantastic guide. I love the constant banner saying what you're talking about so I can come back and re watch specific parts quickly. Thank you!! What addons do you use for healing?
Heya, glad you liked it. My party and unit frames are Shadowed Unit Frames, and I use mouse over macros to heal. I have a couple of videos that go into macros and add-ons. :)
Great video thank you! You helped me pick my main for SL, I was torn between Disc or Holy Pally. I decided on Holy pally I love doing dmg and being in melee range.
Okay so in the video you were using Shield of the Righteous whilst having a two handed mace equipped. How's that work when you need to have a shield equipped to do that?
Your English is literally perfect my friend! In this video I'm using Dominos for action bars and Shadowed Unit Frames for party and character frames. I normally also have Weak Auras running, but it wasn't working properly on the PTR. Hope that helps and I'm glad you liked the vid! :)
Cant wait for the restoration shaman. Good videos, each one keeps on gettin better! I'd try throwing so low-volume-chill-vibe music in the background? Emphasis should always be you speaking of course. There are spots where you took a long breath and i thought my video was bufferin lol
Well you'll be happy to hear I'm working on rsham today. It should be out tomorrow morning. Also, I've thought about background music and have made some edits with previous vids to see how it sounds. I think it's just one of those things that people have very strong opinions about. Lol. Folks either love it or hate it so.... we'll see. Maybe I'll try it with one my shorter vids. I actually had background music for my dk rune weapons vid but it got so little views I didn't get any feedback lol.

I haven't mained my Paladin since Wrath, so this guide was super helpful in getting up to speed on Holy in Shadowlands. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! :)
I echo what many of said, this REALLY provided some much needed clarity for an aspiring HPally! Thank you!

Yeah I’m doing the same thing and it takes a lot of attention away from the game play

In leveling in SL, is it always better to level as ret? I want to main holy, but don't know what's the best!? Thanks
Always lvl as ret questing will be much faster

Awesome tutorial! Do you have a list of addons you are using, by any chance? That setup looks great.
I have a whole video that goes over my UI and addons! :)
