Just took delivery on my 2020 Highlander XLE in Ruby flare pearl here near Disneyland Southern California....so gorgeous! It looks waaaaay better in person than it ever did on the internet photos. The in depth color looks like the Ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz! The XLE is the sweet spot with high quality interior, technology, etc! Very good handling on the road...I'm lovin' it! 🥰 Follow the yellow brick freeway...!
I watch a lot of car reviews, but Jeff's reviews are the most entertaining. I'll bet he is a lot of fun to be around. His excitement is contagious! BTW, I love my 2015 Highlander Hybrid!
Is Leasing for $500 a month with 3K down for a 2020 highlander Limited with Tier 1 credit, Is that paying too much?? i’m currently in the middle of negotiating and i’m trying to get the best possible deal. i can really use your help
Is this the Limited trim with a 2nd row bench seat and 12.3" touchscreen? From Toyota's website, you can only choose either a 2nd row bench seat or 12.3" touchscreen, but not both.
I understand that I cannot get the tow package on the Limited or a Platinum because it interferes with the sensors in the rear bumper. Do you know if Toyota is working on a fix? If yes, when? Or do those of us who need to tow have to find another vehicle?
Bill Metcalf did you ever find a response for this? I have the same concern. Called corporate Toyota and all the local dealerships and they all were not aware until I told them. Very disappointing...
@@blackcomb20 No. But I read somewhere that I can get the tow hitch, but when it is installed, they disable the proximity sensor (the one that opens the hatch when you wave your foot under the bumper).
I don't know how about xle or limited, but I have rented LE in Wyoming for Yellowstone Park Trip... it's spacious and comfortable and 25 mpg is the most what I had during 750 miles averaging 50mph. On the easiest off road lots and lots of rattling from the dashboard.
Prince KAMBALE I’m with u there. I have had three Camry’s and a Corolla and had no issues. I do want to try something else but really spoiled by the dependable/reliable aspect. Probably go Lexus ES next year💪🏾
It looks as though Toyota have copied Mazda, even down to the colour! I'm glad to see that those Orange side reflectors that are required by law in North America have been integrated into the front headlight cluster instead of being plonked onto the side of the front wings, that really is a good move in the right direction. Thanks for the review. 🙂👍🏼
Good review. I noticed on the window sticker that the Distributor for South East Toyota installed (after the vehicle was manufactured) the typical high profit crap, typical to what dealers bestow on the unknowing public. This is yet another way to increase the MSRP. Not all distributors do this. Its actually bate and switch were the Toyota website states one MSRP but everyone in the southeast enjoys paying above MSRP.
So Jeff...What is the MAIN Difference between the Limited and the Platinum? You would 'Think' that a Limited would be the Highest Tier...IMO Thanks...Nice Video. You explained it well.
Hi Jeff, I find UA-cam videos of the Ruby Flare pearl rather misleading as the color always seems to look like a bright red. Although I have not seen a new Highlander in RFP in the flesh, other Toyota cars in RFP I’ve seen on the road seem more like a darker burgundy shade. Can you confirm that RFP is a darker red than Barcelona red? It’s too bad that Toyota does not offer the new Highlander in a bright medium blue. (Loved my previous 2008 Highlander in Blue Streak). The blues offered now are too light (moon dust) and too dark (blueprint). Just my personal taste of course
At least they have an OFF Button. It would be something I would Turn Off each and Every Time. ;) To me having the engine 'Start & Stop' would put wear and tear on it over time.
50K for a Toyota Highlander. Two-Three years ago, you were paying around $49K (when you didn't strike a good deal) for a brand new Toyota Sequoia SR5. If Toyota was offering 7 passenger seating on the 4Runner TRD OffRoad, then 4Runner will be a greater vehicle, considering you can catch a pretty good deal on a brand new 4Runner for around $36K -$37K. But don’t give me wrong, $12K difference is a lot though...... But the highlander rides pretty smoothly.... Time will tell.......
Fevian Cortes I agree. I wish the platinum model would have at least a much brighter silver color. Dark wheels, especially black ones, do nothing for me. They only look a lot dirty with brake dust! 😬
Like to see a sport trd model, just as wide, 15 inches shorter most off the rear, with a night shade option, no chrome mag gray on black, black wheels wider tires. As is if you've got an extended family who come visit regularly and bring their dirty laundry and pets along with them .......you've got the room, even for real big gals, who drink diet soda and eat extra large french fry portions.......

$50,000 dollars this is going in the direction of the Toyota Land cruiser. Why are they keep getting bigger how many American families actually have seven kids.
Over $600 for stupid clear plastic strip pant protection on edges???? Probably cost the dealer .50 cents!!! do people rally fall for this scam? Wow look before you buy!!!!
The LE and XLE are more reasonably priced. Most people aren’t paying sticker prices. The Highlander has moved way up market. The 1st generation was kind of junky, now the 4th generation is fancy.
Toyota should think wisely about driver seat update their driver seat is not comfortable for 5 '11'' or 6 feet person to sit specialy thigh support needed for long drive very disappointed, I hope they will do it in coming models like Germans
I don't know...looks nice...but Toyota joining Trump against California emissions really really really rubbed me the wrong way. I may be going Tesla or Honda
How’s that rubbing you now that bidens destroyed the economy and his inflation has driven the prices of everything to the moon while your investments plummeted?
His excitement, sound effects and commentary is golden baby. Golden!
It’s GOLD!
Thanks for watching :)

I love 2020 Toyota Highlander Limited V6 with full loaded 😀👍
Just bought one! Same colour too. Our first Toyota.
Great job explaining those extra options!
Does the back hatch/window open? Like if you didn't want to fully open the whole trunk
Crazy that i have a limited awd 2020 but this one has panoramic sunroof, and bench seating

Does it have homelink garage opener?

Good video. However you did not show us the spare tire. Does it have a spare tire? Is it a doughnut or a regular spare tire?
Do you know what the overall.width with mirrors is? I even asked Toyota and they suggested I measure it. Have you ever done that?
Very good looking vehicle, Jeff!
I don't know how about xle or limited, but I have rented LE in Wyoming for Yellowstone Park Trip... it's spacious and comfortable and 25 mpg is the most what I had during 750 miles averaging 50mph.

I like the Toyota highlander 2020 limited edition how much please
It is one of the best, and very good presentation.
5:25 the power lift gate sounds like a Honda chime
OMG. So nice ... I am a big Toyota lover... Man gotta know what he likes and in Cars Toyota/ Lexus are always my choice .. I am faithful ..

When the new Ford Explorer comes out don’t really care
When the 2020 Toyota Highlander comes out everyone freaks out
Because the explorer is a bad vehicle, unlike the Highlander or Kia Telluride.
Because Ford can’t even make the fit and finish right, the panel gaps are ridiculous and the transmission will go out by 50k miles
Ford is substandard
Kia/Hyundai is superb.
Toyota so so

Can it be possible to get limited rims on my platinum trim
i didn't see on mechanical specifications if this is regular transmissions or CVT ? Please advice?
The Hybrids have cvt transmissions. All the othe versions have regular transmissions.
So Jeff...What is the MAIN Difference between the Limited and the Platinum?
You would 'Think' that a Limited would be the Highest Tier...IMO
Thanks...Nice Video. You explained it well.
I’ll be focusing on that as soon as I get both those trim levels together Dood :)

Any options to avoid the stop/start technology?
As far as I know, you have to push the Off button every time you get in. The default is ON.
At least they have an OFF Button. It would be something I would Turn Off each and Every Time. ;)
To me having the engine 'Start & Stop' would put wear and tear on it over time.
OldDood Scotty Kilmer agrees with you. Me too.
I need a HL Platinium hybrid in my life
4:08 "reminds me of other manufactures" Chrysler logo. lol
Hi Jeff please do a comparison between rav 4 axle vs highlander xle.
Thank you.

What color red?
Hahahaha you are amazing thank you Jeff
Is that Lexus with Toyota Badge?
And the baby car seat hellooo always forget to mention it Safer in the middle
Is there a panoramic sun roof option for limited?
B H Yes!
Justin Xu nice
No there isn’t. It’s reserved only for the platinum trim. Same goes for the adaptive headlights and the head up display
Naveen Krishnamurthy oh
Love that color! But I notice the Limited comes with chrome wheels and the Platinum has uglier silver wheels! What gives? 🤔
Fevian Cortes I agree. I wish the platinum model would have at least a much brighter silver color. Dark wheels, especially black ones, do nothing for me. They only look a lot dirty with brake dust! 😬
That’s the beauty of matte black.
No scrubbing required. Especially nice with soft brake pads creating constant brake dust.
should’ve had LED turn signals tho it’s 2020
LOVE IT!

why don't you make a video on the hybrid version?
My Mouth Dropped
Good work on the review. Unfortunately this is one overpriced Fugly vehicle. Toyota design team is loosing it.
Still miles better than fugly kia
You sure do harp on the Toyotas
$50,000 dollars this is going in the direction of the Toyota Land cruiser. Why are they keep getting bigger how many American families actually have seven kids.
Nice review, but when plastic surrounds the wheels it screams “we cut corners”. Metal. We need safety, not plastic.
Very expensive!!
