I'm surprised you liked the Asics Magic Speed 3 as much as you have. For me, it felt a bit harsh when I went over 10k. Surprisingly I enjoyed the Magic Speed 2 more. Also tried the On Cloudsurfer 7 and whilst the upper was superb the underfoot feel wasn't as good as anticipated vs other brand options. However, totally agree about your assessment on the NB Propel v4. Absolute bargain for what you get. Sure the upper could do with a bit of improvement but it's the midsole that is magic. Bang for the buck! This is a winner and nowadays you can get it on discount. And yes, Skechers Go Run Ride series is excellent value. Problem, like you say, is limited availability. No honorable mention on super shoe… not sure when the Puma Deviate Nitro 2 came out but I would put it in either the best do it all or super shoe. I just got this one for sale on Black Friday and I find myself grabbing it almost every day. I have to make myself wear different shoes it has been that good for me.

Love my Hoka Mach Xs. They are great for easy paces as well as Intervals and everything in between. Great video as always 🤙🏻 Hope to make it back to America one day and run the NY Marathon.
I ran earlier today with my Asics Magic Speed 3, which is an awesome fast shoes, and I'm watching this video while walking around my home while using the Nike Infinity Run 4. Another great shoes, and I don't find them that heavy since the flow heel to.toe is so awesome ! I run better with my Infinity, and then I can do with the lightweight cushioning shoes that are also very unstable. New Balance 1080 v13. This v13 was my bad surprise of 2023 ...

Finally, someone agrees with me that the Streakfly is a great shoe Thomas! I'm on my second pair and use them for sorter runs and tempo/threshold sessions and love the low slung feel.

I use the Mach X as my half marathon racer since it has the cushion I want for my ~2hr time. Wouldn’t have thought to use it as a trainer too much with how squishy it is.

Wait, so the Cielo road is too expensive for daily trainer and fast days at $160 but the Mach X can do both and it's $180. I'm so confused. This whole "the shoe has a plate so it's better" thinking is getting crazy. It's just allowing all these companies to charge more $$$ for shoes.

Which is the difference between de Do-It-All category and the Super Trainers? I'm feeling like both are kind of the same. Love the Boston 12 and the Mach X and I don't know the name of the category but I feel is the same. Maybe too many good shoes to reward?
I know you said it but the (2022) Asics Superblast is a MF of a shoe I wish I could re-sole the bottom sole because the FF TURBO it's like new after 3700+ miles I've wash the shoe after rain I've ran all different climates and this Super Shoe still performed like new as a heavy running I changed my insole 's and the magic happened wow PLEASE ASICS just leave this shoe the way it is 10 out 10 the best shoe pound 4 pound!!!!!!!! Cheers!!!!!
So damn true, I'm on my second pair right now, I hope they will make the second version better or just leave it like how it is. My rotation literally went down from 4 pairs to 2, which is recovery/easy day shoes and superblast for everything else, they are just great!
The Ride 11, at first, seemed like it’d be an ALL STAR for me - but then I took it out for a real SWEATER of a run, and learned it soaks up sweat like Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly’s basketball scene. A bit the same for the Infinity Run 4, but the Ride 11 seems to triple in weight for me and slosh and splosh around, which limits its use for me. The Infinity Run 4 gets much more use for me, the midsoul really is something nice and I’m looking forward to seeing how Nike utilizes the new injection molded doohickey in other shoes. Nike deserved the backlash this year tho, the Invincible 3 is a joke, horrible fit and the whole upper is just poorly done. Heel slip hell. You’d think they’d have figured this out lol.

These people kill me. High stack to them means soft and cushy. High stack means high stack, it can be a little firm or soft. People need choices in high stack. I love the Kinvara Pro. I do agree with the confusing name though. The most disappointing is the NB SC Trainer v2. V1 is better.
@@tkwasikto me, it's easier to pick up pace and move my feet in the shift, but as a heavier runner, I can maintain distance and am painless after running in the pro. I can pick up speed in the pro as well. Love my pros.
The biggest problem of Skechers is that their shoes look ugly af. When the GOrun Ride 7 came out, it was hyped by runners because of the comfort. They were early in the game with softer, responsive midsoles that lasted for at least 500 mls. The downside was that their shoes looked like grandparents sofas. Hokas, however, were ugly too. Then Hokas became fashionable with better design and nicer color ways, whereas Skechers started to look even weirder or uglier. Finally other brands like Asics introduced new foams. Now all brands have soft, quite light and responsive midsoles. There is just no need for Skechers anymore because they didn't do anything about the design. When it comes to travel shoes I agree with what you are saying but personally I still don't run at all in those shoes because of two reasons. First of all, feet sweat a bit and therefore shoes need a rest, which means that one cannot wear the same pair when one goes out for dinner for example. Secondly, running makes shoes dirty. One cannot always avoid puddles or dusty roads. Shoes stay perfectly clean only when they are worn casually. That is why I take a different pair for running every time when I travel. If I had luggage space problems, then I normally take an old pair of running shoes with me and throw it away in the hotel.
Loved my Gel-Nimbus 25's until 140 miles in, and despite keeping my toe nails short, I pushed my toenail through the upper during a long and wet run. Very disappointed.
Saucony’s rationale for why they named it after the Kinvara has been out there since the shoe came out… I’m also not a fan of cannibalizing the name of that shoe but maybe give us some commentary on that since you’re shoe guys? But maybe that wrecks your category IDK. Saucony told the doctors of running I’m sure they would have told you too.

Magic speed 3 is so good, i already got a second pair. I could race it as well up to 10mi.

on cloudsurfer is great especially removed the speedboard makes it more comfortable

The Infinity RN4 gets suggested at half size up often. Do you think that's the case? I wear 13 normally and they don't make a 13.5.

Agree on the SuperComp Trainer V2. It’s fine, but like the V1 much better particularly for long runs.
