Awww, thank you so much for this video! I am saving up to get a ball python as a self present, but this helps with my research. Can't wait for more videos

Good Luck on your search!! I bought my two kids one last October at a Reptile expo...I recommend you buy your FIRST one from there also...Check the dates on when they’re coming to your city...They have a lot of options to choose from! 👍

Really helpful, thank you. I was on the fence about getting a temp. gun but this convinced me. (btw you have some editing issues going on in this video. It repeats itself at several points)

I thought guts only come out when you put it in a microwave because I have a ball python myself and I always defrost the rat in warm water and I never have any rat gut issues.

Pretty much as long as you defrost it not too quickly or in too hot of water where it’s “cooking” cause one the rodent’s stomach lining is ruptured or cooked-it’s pretty much a gusher at that point, when the snake constricts, it’ll pop like a ketchup packet. Never experienced it, but heard of horror stories. The smell and cleanup being the worst part.

Hey personally never bred, but I’ve come across videos where I’ve seen breeders do a force feeding. Maybe look into that if you’re still having problems. I dunno if you have a trustworthy reptile accepting vet nearby, but that’d probably be your safest route.
