  • This is probably the longest video I have made but, once again, the video pretty much says it all.
*If you have a specific questions, use the chapter sliders on the bottom to help find what you’re looking for.
**The chapter “Reroutes” doesn’t cover the exhaust reroute. This exhaust info can be found within the “Skids and Armor” chapter.
***During the "Skids and Armor" section I mistakenly state "engine skid" while looking at the fuel skid and I of course meant to say "fuel skid".
Please feel free to message me with any questions.

You dropped so much important knowledge ! Thank you . I think your truck is amazing. I have a 2021 sr5; that I threw a 2 inch level kit on, and 30's, and the carven catback exhaust for now. I believe this summer I am going to slap on a 6' RC lift and 33s ( avoiding 35s because that is where I heard most people have to chop the body.).. also hoping to change the ugly stock halogen headlights to any type of LED headlights, K&N intake, and maybe just maybe the hybrid front bumper... still have a lot to put into this build LOL

Love the build. My first mods were an OME bp-51 lift set to 5mm preload with stage 1 icon leafs and timbren ubolt flip active bumpstops, sits just a tad over 2". Trd 4runner wheels with toyo open country AT3s 255 75r17. Next I'll be adding an aluminum bumper/sliders from greenlane and a trd skid. Maybe some ditch lights and molle seat panels. Keep it light low and simple.

How well do the Faulken Wild Peak tires do in heavy, deep snow?
We live in a very mountainous area of north central Washington state where we get 5-7 feet of snow every winter.
We live on a private road that we have to plow and maintain ourselves.
We’re 5 miles up on a mountain from town.
We also have to go over some mountain passes to get to Seattle and sometimes WDOT can’t keep up with the snow, so traction tires are required. If the passes are bad enough when chains are required, I simply reschedule my appointment in Seattle

    • @stephenviggiano1610
      @stephenviggiano1610  5 місяців тому +1

I’m sorry to say that I can’t really help with that.
I’ve been through snow, I’ve been over some of the more challenging passes in the San Juan’s of CO, beaches in FLA, and marshland in GA but I’ve never been through the type of snow you’re describing.
However, it would seem that the people who have used these tires for heavy snow have had good reviews.

      Great question.
The 887 and 5100 combo certainly still dives a little but it still seems to hold turns with less body roll.
Yet off-roading is still smooth enough if you’re taking it slow and reasonable.
Obviously you’ll need really loose suspension if you’re going crazy on the throttle and wheeling hard over rough terrain but I love my setup how it is for what I do.
I’m not sure what I’ll do next. With the cross-country offroad venture coming up, I’ll mostly put away spare change for gas and maybe some new tires for the trip.

I ended up just getting the 17 inch 4Runner TRD wheels since they came with the caps, I’ll have to get slightly smaller tires though like 245 to make up the difference

Have you owned KO2’s to say the wildpeaks perform better in the rain?

I’ve not personally but a combination of plenty of people I know and trust as well as many, many posts online seem to play to the same tune.
I’m sure additional research online would further the point.

I have KO2’s on my 2020 TRD PRO Tacoma and Falken wild peak AT3’s on my 2021 TRD Off-Road Premium. I live near Tacoma Washington. It’s wet once and awhile here.😂
The AT3 performs better in rain than the KO2. I love both tires and when the Tacoma needs rubber I may put AT3’s on it. Still undecided.

I can’t really say (as far as just tired goes) because I have a lot of extra weight and suspension changes on it but the overall average mpg for me is 18-19.
