Hey, Dennis. Maybe I missed the construction of the concrete formed lower ring beam with rebar matrix connecting all the pillars, but if not it's always a good idea in the Philippines to have both the lower and upper ring beams connecting the pillars on all sides as well as any center pillars. It gives the structure the added strength and support needed to withstand earthquakes that are common in your and my areas. Many Filipino foremen don't include them, because it's an added expense and takes longer to construct and cure the ring beams. Lower ring beams need at least a week to set up (harden) and partially cure before placing hollow blocks on top to form the walls. The upper ring beam should cure for about 2 weeks, before bending the rebar jutting out of the footing column tops and ring beam around the angle iron trusses to anchor the trusses and roof structure in place. You can further reinforce the roof structure by welding the attachment areas and cementing them. We've had a few 7.0 earthquakes in Ormoc City area and several strong typhoons directly impact our house and we sustained no damage at all, not even a crack. Yet, many other houses and buildings in the area were damaged and roof structures torn off. The type of cement you use for different dry, moist and support structures is all different. You can't use all the same concrete. We had hired a structural civil engineer to build our house, so he was required by law to follow the required Philippine engineering and architectural building codes and submit documentation to the municipal city hall building department for review. The municipal building officer did come out several times to be certain the construction matched the documentation. That said, the majority of Filipinos and foreigners just build without proper documents or a use of an engineer or architect. They just hire a foreman, 1 skilled and some unskilled laborers and start building away. They do save money that way, but the structure's integrity is compromised. Anyway, just added my thoughts and observations, not trying to upset the apple cart. I will enjoy watching the full construction. Wishing you both all the best. 🙂

Yet another great AFD video!. I'm really enjoying this house extension!.
I know that I rarely comment these days, but I just had to say that I 100% agree with Dennis.... I also have always refused to hold a purse. Just feels weird as a man to carry/hold a womans purse. It even bothered me as a kid .... my mother knew I'd rather take a beating!
This is the best Philippines channel for me....1000%!!!😊👍🏽✌🏽

Have to admit how much the worker's got done for being short handed. Your uncle has them organized and working efficiently 👍

Just curious if it’s normal/expect to provide the workers meals every day?

I would imagine it’s very normal in certain places. I worked in construction and never saw that happen in California. Now I live in South Carolina and I see it all the time
