You can craft the axe, though I would still recommend mace. But at this point you can go for the arena weapons which are better than the crafted options for orcs specifically (would be my recommendation)
Are you making that trinket comparison video you mentioned in your other video? I'm curious how my current combo of DFT/Slayers crest holds up to stuff like hourglass. Great content, looking forward to seeing more!
I think I might hold off on it until we have the TBC beta, so I can more accurately do the calculations with the accurate proc rates and stuff. Regardless Slayers and DFT are two incredible trinkets, and Slayers in particular is only slightly worse than Bloodlust Brooch which requires 41 Badges of Justice to get!!
That's a really tough question. The best bet is being Fury, which allows your optimal PvE and PvP Blacksmithing spec to be Macesmithing. The issue with that is I think it's going to be very difficult to find guilds that allow warriors to go as Fury, especially early on. But if you can, that's the ideal scenario.
Definitely Hammersmith. If you are Fury, you want the 1H Crafted Mace and if you are gonna do PvP you want the 2H one. To get both will require ALOT of farming and money though. Hell, even just getting ONE of them will be a trial.
is there anyway that at any stage of TBC a talent build that has both bloodthirst and deathwish (not going down to rampage) beats the traditional fury dw dps build? Maybe with sword spec too and warglaives?
if you want to get hammer smithing for stormherald for the arena(idk if stormherald is available from launch). Can you still perform decently with it in raids or dungeons? As arms spec.
Stormherald should be available from launch IF T5 is available - some of the mats you need to craft it are trash drops from SSC and TK. You can definitely perform well enough with it in dungeons, especially given that the mace stun might actually be pretty useful on trash given that heroic mobs can hit quite hard. But for raids, you're missing out on a LOT of damage and rage generation by note going Sword spec, which is what I 100% would recommend. For raids I would say that you'd be noticeably worse off with Maces than you would with Swords, which is really unfortunate :(
@@crenux9692 You could probably use the Quantum Blade from Heroic Black Morass until you got your hands on something like Despair from the Rome & Juliet event in Karazhan. Though if you're serious about PvEing, I'll always recommend going for the crafted sword! The only thing better than the Lionheart Executioner (the max crafted sword) is the Twinblade of the Phoenix which drops from Kael'Thalas, the last boss of Tempest Keep and a really tough fight.
You can also make sword spec work with some comps in arena, especially if you have a shaman with you for Windfury. It won't be as good as mace spec, but it definitely has it's place.
hi marrow what are your general thoughts on the viability of fury dps in tbc at the top end of raiding? do you think a lot of high end guilds will carry a fury or do you think it'll just be 1 arms and that's it?
I think at the very top end, you unfortunately will not see any furies until T6. From that point onwards, raid mechanics become less punishing for melee and the introduction of more and more ArPen gear makes them scale really well, at which point you might swap a hunter for a Fury. I think there's probably a spot for a Fury in a good guild though, the ones going for world/server first or speed running will likely stick to the Hunter/Lock meta, unless something wild happens.
Straightforward content, I enjoyed it. I plan to force fury warrior into my tbc raid and am trying to push as much dps as possible to prove my spot is worth not taking a hunter/lock/etc. I have watched some of your other content before and knowing that you have played the entirety of classic, i wanted to pose a question or 2: Would going BS axe spec as a orc warrior give you more benefits than going BS mace spec due to the base expertise you get? Also do you think heroic strike queing is going to prove to allow fury to be more competitive on the meters?
Warrs will still be worse then humter and locks, just a little less thanks to heroic strike. For your first question, of we're talking pve it's sword>>>>>axe>mace
I would be highly, highly surprised if the axe expertise given by the Orc racial was enough to push Axes > Maces for orcs. This is because: 1) Expertise is comparatively much less meaningful than Weapon Skill is in vanilla (which is not to say it isn't an incredibly important and powerful stat) and 2)The mace's proc is just insanely good. I think heroic strike queueing is going to make a little bit of a difference, but I'm not convinced it'll allow Furies to compete with Hunters or Warlocks (given the same skill level).
@@Ashanthala I think in a non sweaty guild, you can make a spot for a Fury for sure. They have the potential to be the highest DPS melee if played properly. In that case, you 100% go for Macesmithing over Sword.

@@Marrow_WoW would love to get some arms progression or thought process for gearing. I know alot of it is up in the air/wild west until we find out more info but im very excited to try out arms raiding
Arms kinda lags behind until T5 so it might not be worth depending on your raid comp (how many phys dps do you have). After that the dps difference is always less than the amount of DPS you gain in Blood Frenzy.
You should be doing dungeons over and over until you are Honored with Honor Hold/Thrallmar and The Cenarian Section while leveling. Do the quests at level 70 for more gold. Forget about being the first guy at The Elemental Plateau because it's not going to happen.
I appreciate this videos, im new to warrior so every tip is welcomed.
The best tip a warrior can give another warrior is create a new class
