The trike driver is a good person. I thought he was one of those who would take advantage of tourists but surprisingly, he was honest and eager to please guests.
I love Tagaytay. As a foreigner even locals when visiting places in any country. Tipping is pretty much a must. I'v realize a lot of these people make minimum wages, which is like a dollar or two a day. Specially when they put an extra effort to serve you. Please always remember to tip, drivers, servers, vendors. Enjoy the Philippines!
Justin you made me laugh when you ask the driver of the Golf Cart what is his name and the driver said "Gerald" and you thought he said "Joy Ride" Hahaha...That was really funny. 😂 😂 Enjoy Tagaytay and have some fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭
I like your video vlogging system. Into the point, no cutting, no BS, the hows of interaction with the locals. It definitely helps people to visit & commute around Philippines.
Buko pie was originally made in Los Banos Laguna btw. Which is an hour away from tagaytay. Los Banos Laguna is not often a destination for vloggers but it has the big university of the Philippines campus as well as mt makiling. It was also famous for hot springs water, but these days everyone chooses to go to the beach of course.
Good to know that you guys liked the Buko Pie.. For the Bulalo, you've already tried it in your previous vlog @Sosing Carenderia but the Bulalo in Tagaytay is good as well. Enjoy and stay safe guys.. 😊
i like how you guys do commute instead of renting private vehicle. that's what vlogger should do to expirence the real local life in philippines. btw the first 2 row of sets in bus are for those PWD/Senior citizens hehe. enjoy ph 🇵🇭 have a safe trip always
I made an acquaintance from Versailles France try this buko pie and he loved it... When a French compliments the pastry... trust that it is truly actually good.
Calamansi is also known to be "Philippine Lime" . it has many uses including culinary, meat preparation (as fresh meat tenderizer), paired with soy sauce as a condiment, flavour enhancer, and also as a refreshment beverage. Calamansi is best known to be a flavour enhancer when someone is to eat a pork sisig or pansit (Philippine version of stir-fried yakisoba)
There’s a Starbucks and Mcdonald’s branch there with a good view of the Mt. Taal. I hope you can visit those places. These are just some spots without the hefty price tags ❤
Hi Justin! Bicol is also a beautiful province that you should visit. A lot of good places to see there. Just enjoy your stay here in our country. Thanks so much for visiting our country❤
I really like this couple and their raw vlogs and positive vibes only they brought. they are one of my favourite foreign vlogger in the Philippines now, enjoy and always be safe Justin and Alina ♥️
Hey Alina and Justin, you got a good tri-cab driver tour guide and hope he'll be around to show you places there in Tagaytay. Great you tried "buko pie" and loved it. Enjoy your cool day stay in Tagaytay!
37:51 She meant ‘soursop’, the English word for guyabano. It’s a sweet and sour fruit. It’s also known as an anti-cancer fruit just like the mangosteen (but for the mangosteen it’s usually the rind and bark - vary bitter). It’s nice of the sales clerk to come up and correct the information though technically, she did get it right the first time coz traditional pastillas is indeed made out of milk. Usually the yummiest ones would be those made of carabao milk. The caramel boat tarts are generally good. You have to try them. But I don’t know if their version is good as I have never tried them. Their buko pie tart version is also good. Justin, if you are of Chinese heritage, you might enjoy that sweet and spicy squid (pusit). Can be eaten alone as a snack but can be addicting. Btw, I have confirmed that the roasted chicken of Landers is better than the one in S&R esp the spicy one. We usually get the one in S&R as well but recently tried the one in Landers. 👍👍👍 Their pizza is good too.
At the store below, the sales clerk was actually saying "Sour Sop" not "sour soup". Sour sop is a fruit related to custard apple. The one you saw was juice. Very refreshing and high in vit C
I feel the amusement just seeing the thumbnail, and I can't blame them, I was similarly amused the first time I went there, the nature is just very different, I hope you guys have fun there
There was a major miscommunication between you and the bus driver. You asked if you cannot go TO the volcano. He said you CAN go - but he meant to the highest possible viewing point from Tagaytay only ... and not TO the volcano itself. And to the trike driver and wife you said "Cantonese." But they didn't know of that language. Hence, the silence. I LOVE these vlogs, hahahahah!
Calamansi is like a lemon juice here in php buko pie is famous for pasalubong take out food then bulalo famous beef soup in tagaytay take care guys.👍😍✌🙏🇵🇭
Take care you guys. Glad you're having fun. Just try to travel mostly during daylight hours and stay in the places where there are lots of people. Common sense stuff. PH public transport can take some adjustments, but once you get a hang of it, you can visit cool places far off the beaten track. :)
Guys, I see you're based in Manila. If you would like to check out another famous volcano in the Philippines, go to Mount Mayon (known as the world's most perfect cone). It is located in the province of Albay. Take the plane to Legazpi City, less than 2hrs from Manila. You can ride atvs at the foot of the volcano (Zac Efron did this) and go hiking in the surrounding areas. If you want to hang out at the beach, stay at Misibis Bay Resort. For food, Albay is famous for its Bicol Express (spicy stew) and sili icecream. Sili means pepper. Safe travels!
nice couple ...thanks for appreciating many things in our country...heard you say you speak cantonese Justin..wow what a coincident you're from HK...i worked almost 10 years in HK as a building services engineer.. but learned little cantonese...only mo man tai🙂🙂 Godbless you both.. enjoy travelling the country.
pitx is the bus stop from urban metro manila to different provinces.............. people flock the area ....the reason why there are lots of shops for last minute shopping
Coldest weather there is 15-18 degrees celsius. Just be careful of occasional windy gusts. Wind chill is sometimes extremely cold! Pineapples there are so sweet and tasty!
You should have tried the Macapuno candies there hehe ~ one of the best candies we have here in the Philippines. Made from a special variety of coconut (with abnormally developed endosperm) mixed with milk and sugar.
Bus riding tip, sit at the second row because the front one is reserved for pwd, elders, and preggers. When they come to ride, the conductor will make you move, which is a hassle if the bus is already full. The buko pie looks really creamy. I wonder if that was hot it would be so much better(at least for me 😆)
Yes weather in tagaytay is cooler than in Manila. I live 10 mins away tagaytay and where I am now is cold. Alina is so happy positive vibes always. Try the macapuno it's good. Hey Justin your absolutely correct Alina is beautiful as always.
Philippines' best Buko Pie is of the brand 'THE ORIGINAL BUKO PIE" . Somewhere within Tagaytay you can find a store that sells it. i think it costs 250 pesos per 1 box
Bulalo #1 in tagaytay and also buko pie and the view of taal volcano and the weather as wel. More delecasies and delicious food.Try also there pineapple fruits grown in tagaytay. Mangosten lanzones. And ripe mango. Enjoy and relax new place Tagaytay.
Tagaytay is a major distribution hub for mushrooms. Mushroom Burger's mushroom farms are there. Coffee and thick brewed chocolate with thick carabao's milk is fantastic there.
I was laughing at you Justin bcoz every time you ask something you hear and say it differently from what the person said to you. I find it so hilarious 😂
Im in Canada and currently watching your video. Those pastillas are all my favorite. Oh my! My saliva are now drooling. You should all try the pastillas, yema and macapuno. If you love sweets, i recommend all of them. How i wish i was there and buy all of them.
it was sweet of the storeperson to look for you to correct the misinformation she gave you earlier. milk is not easily found in Tagaytay or most parts of the Philippines and it's expensive to buy fresh/raw milk. we generally rely on powdered or canned milk (condensed or evaporated) or imported UHT milk.
FYI, there are lots of DAIRY farms in Tagaytay. Thats why we always have pastillas, yema and other leche products. We have lots of fresh milk here from goats and cows. Our hamburgers here really tastes authentic beef because they put real beef in the putty plus beef liver.
@@ronnieraptor sounds great then. I should check out the milk products next time. But can you recommend a brand/store that makes yema from raw milk? If even Cecilia's uses condensed...
I think you should try Laguna’s buko pie too since it’s actually packed and layered with coconut meat to the brim and not just a some strips in a mush. I was kinda dissapointed upon seeing the insides of the buko pie you tried. I’m sure it tastes fine but the ones in Laguna is superior. Also, chicken macaroni salad is a traditional Filipino party & holiday meal staple. The Wendy’s version is somewhat close to it,
Tourist spots in tagaytay is CROSSWIND, PICNIC PARK INFRONT IN TAAL VOLCANO AND IF YOU CAN TOUR NEAR TAAL VOLCANO the crazy smallest volcano in this country.
The trike driver is a good person. I thought he was one of those who would take advantage of tourists but surprisingly, he was honest and eager to please guests.
yea and he didnt charged them tourist price
Shame. The vloggers thought otherwise... He was about to forget giving him the contact number almost intentionally .. Cringe
Yes the driver did not dissapoint me as Filipino. Unfortunately a lot of drvers are not like that, so beware tourist.
@@decembrus2008able I stopped watching these two Pinoy baiters after this episode.. They ghosted the tricycle driver.
Yes he’s very honest! That’s why we decided to travel with him again the next few days around Tagaytay :)
I love Tagaytay. As a foreigner even locals when visiting places in any country. Tipping is pretty much a must. Pls dont bring that bloody tipping culture in my country Philippines, we’re not USA.
I love Alina she is just a happy girl. Her attitude is so bright and cheerful 😍
I like your video vlogging system. Into the point, no cutting, no BS, the hows of interaction with the locals. It definitely helps people to visit & commute around Philippines.
I love how your vlog is so raw, like, there's not much filter nor editing. We get to see how your experiences really went down.
Thank you so much!!
As a person who lives in Tagaytay, It's really fun seeing a vlogger walking around the place you're familiar with 🥲
Thank you ☺️❤️
