Pretty awesome ! I flew with both of those guys ! When I was flying for Viva aerobus, from 09 to 11’!
Oh thats very cool! Some good memories I assume
Wow, one of the well-detailed cockpit clips I ever watched. Informative, the captain looks calm, and the classy analog cockpit still charming even today.
In all honesty most of our videos are very detailed but when we bring them to You Tube we have to water down the presentations a lot. If we leave longer presentations we see our viewers leaving the video, I guess they just want to see the flying, not the talking... but the films are 3-5 hours so plenty of time to let the pilots talk and sometimes talk a lot :)
@@justplanes Well, you are right. Only the pilots or even more the aspiring ones- like me- would find such detailed cockpit clips interesting. Thank you for the effort to edit and prepare these educational, yet entertaining movies. Keep it coming.
It looks so calm at 330 cruise! Almost like they are in a static sim - so cool
Amazing! Love to see pilots in action
Beautiful sunset and night flying on this beautiful 737-300. I love classic old planes. Amazing pilots, takeoff, and landing. I do love night flying, the city lights from the air is beautiful. Plus, seeing the stars and moon is amazing. The plane sounds amazing and the equipment is amazing. Awesome video, I love it.
Thank you Gentlemen..I spend heaps of time on UA-cam following all the vids of flight and in cockpit views but I have to say this is the BEST detailed and filmed one out there. Thank you. Stay safe. ☺️
Beautiful , all of your videos should be just like this , thank you ! 😍
Thank you very much!
this is so ol skool.. I like it when the captain asks "you have the aiport in sight..." 19:08
Un titán de los Aires y un respetado veterano. 737.300 por siempre.
Ah. Good old paper charts. Havent seen them in a while xD
Haven't seen a Boeing 737 Classic with analogue displays in a while 😅
I haven’t seen a 737 classic.
@@CraZy291 Known affectionately as the B737 '250' 😂
@@johndonald3566 hadn't come across that one yet 😂👍

Great video JP!!
Thank you very much!
Yes.....Sunday! Another video.....with very articulate Pilots!
Enjoyed this....JP....Thank You! Keep on Going! Have a
wonderful day/week :-) Greetings Betsy.
Hey Betsy thank you as always and you have a lovely week!
this boeing model was produced from 1984 to 1996
after 1996 , Boeing 737 NG ( next generation/ 600, 700, 800, 900) was introduced and produced until 2015
The engine start selector is on right position hehe
Ohhh love that sound of the engine
That's a true 737 classic right there.
Yes indeed Andrew 👍
JP your videos are fantastic
Thank you very much Jeff!!
I 100% agree
@@bugproductions9050 You're very kind, thank you!
Woow such an amazing video keep it up!!!
Douglas Marroquín thank you very much Douglas
Very nice video! Guess I’m not the only one flying with steam gauges. Gotta love these old 73’s😀
Agreed :)
I really love this aircraft.
Didn’t know the -300 could also have analog gauges for navigation! Very cool video!
Yep, a lot of them we're made for southwest airlines to maintain the commonality with the 200's
@@hodgeheg480 Interesting... you learn stuff every day!
Glad you liked the video Alex
@@hodgeheg480 And now we are flying them in Africa. I'm sure there are quite a few around the world still.
Boeing, the name of quality.
Amazing
Thanks very much Younes
What a nostalgic pilots flying an 737-300 classic aircraft.
That's a 737-200
@@nightbot8526 it's not there were two avionics versions a new EFIS version with displays and more modern equipment and the steam gauge analog dials that keeps commonality with the - 100/-200 series aircraft.
The two 'wider' CFM 56 engines give it away if you see the exterior of the aircraft.
The B737 200 had the longer 'cigar' looking JT engines.
Amazing guys gl
Thanks very much Sal!
Did the -300 -400 -500 have a analog option for the flight deck?? More specific the HSI?
it's wrong .. the video is 737-200
@@nightbot8526 Southwest had 737 300 with analog instruments, i think USair too
We call em the '250's'
Yes. The digital EFIS was certified after the lazunch so the first ones came with the analog instrumentation. Also it was a customer option.
Nothing like a classic 737 with steam gauges, the non EFIS cockpit version :), this what you call true hands on piloting, this such a beautiful classic aircraft, although I prefer the PAW JT8D engines on the - 200 model they are porn for ears.
Why they haven´t iPads?
Why B733 has B732 avionics? I thought Classic has other avionic
Beginners mistake..... how could u being ready to split out of ATC while not ready for the approach, since u had tango and uniform was In. Effect !!
Should have a runway switch easily...
Amazing !!!!!
No MFDs. This is THC COCKPIT!
I'm looking forward to it JP!
Thank you! Enjoy
So Cool !
Glad you enjoyed it Thomas
It would be interesting to se Max back to service whith this kind of avionics
Claudio no it wouldn't
Rhys Marjoram it would be funny lol
It looks more like a 737-200 cockpit but with FMS and ND installed on the pedestal - the autopilot is also the older model as fitted to some of the 747 200s and 300s, and DC10s. Must be a very early 300 series! Can anyone advise?
That's a 737-200
@Kalle K thanks for the info, i had never heard of this version of -300
Never realised original 737-300 cockpit came with steam gauges thought it was only the first generation!
The non-efis B737 300 was a client requirement for a US carrier many years ago to keep them similar to the B737 200.
Majority of B737-300's were built with the EFIS displays
What alphabet are they using?
Were the controllers speaking Spanish on the frequency??!!
Whwb was this video recorded?
In 2013 Claudio
Hola buen dia.
Hello Andrew
@@justplanes gracias (thank you)
What airline
Why are shoulder bar stripes on some airlines yellow and the rest silver
Airline choice...
I thought the 737-300 had PFD and ND as Displays? 😳
Most of them did have CRTs but some early ones were build with an analogue instrument layout...
How come they cleared to land the aircraft behind before the aircraft ahead has landed?
CRAIG Eagle it’s America, in Europe they don’t do that
Landing aircraft have minimum separation when cleared in sequence. ATC can cancel clearance if preceding aircraft does not vacate in time.
How long is the actual flight time?
One hour.
👌
Thanks Franklin
It is being flown by 2 captains
Yes that happens sometimes... In this case it was the last flight of the entire week of filming and we asked the Chief Pilot if he would be part of the flight so as to do a presentation on the airline and he happily accepted :)
300 ? wow you need some upgrades..
They make very good freighters. Lots of passenger 300's have been converted. New lease on life for them. The others unfortunately have been stripped for parts and scrapped.

This plane is so old it takes glow plugs and a crank handle to start the engine.

Why did they have to keep pressing the PTT to communicate with each other ?? That was so annoying
Possibly to be on the video recording but that was a while so I don't remember for sure...

This is not 737-300
Anyway good video
Glad you liked the video. So what plane is it?
@@justplanesMario, it is, the old classic style panel was an option taken by some airlines for commonality between the 737-200s they operated and the at the time "newer" ones. Kind of the same idea with some 737-800's still displaying circular steam gauges on their screens when linear presentations would be clearer.
Thanks for the information!!
I flow the 300 long time ago and I didn’t know about it.
My opologies for that
It is B737, you can tell from the lay out of analog gauges and the side window handle, off course the new 737 has glass avionics today.
@pilitamireh waif iap l need to use this f name
