I've been waiting for a tool like this for a long time, easy to use and which gives you precise facial animation, I'm definitely going to buy it, but please create a plugin for Blender software, for easy integration
Great to hear! We already have a real-time plugin for Blender through Rokoko Studio. If you use our solver there, you can easily stream your data to Blender. This video is a bit outdated in terms of Rokoko Studio versions, but it shows the workflow and how easy it is to set up: ua-cam.com/video/CnYWRvFyAgA/v-deo.htmlsi=nAeKCAFJVSeojRxw

Currently, the Headcam is not a depth camera, so it won’t work with MetaHuman Animator in its current form. We’re all eagerly waiting for Epic to release a version compatible with 2D cameras. Until then, we recommend using our Headrig for iPhones with MetaHuman Animator.
We hear you on this. You should know, however, that this product is leaning heavily on the production pipelines of the Headrig that we are already shipping, so there aren't really any surprises there. And it's obviously a much simpler product with way fewer "unknowns" than the Coil Pro. But fair point! :)
MetaHuman Animator currently requires a depth camera and won't work with the Headcam in its current form. We'll all just have to wait and hope that Epic will release a version that works with 2D cameras 👀 Until then, our Headrig for iPhones is what we would recommend for MetaHuman Animator: www.rokoko.com/products/headrig
This is part of what's holding me back from recommending it to my company. We use metahumans and livelink just yields better results over Rokoko studio face cap exports. Reallusion has nice software that would balance it out, but purchasing multiple ExpensivE licenses under a small business + this expensive headrig is not an attractive solution.
Although I pre-ordered; what about animals; I assume I have to put on a animal face costume to record ? 😉 It works with Houdini I can record and have those points feed in real time into Houdini ?
@@RokokoMotion oh ok via USB C. But if I’m using an iPhone 15 pro max, it has a usb c input, could it works? @@RokokoMotion but since iPhone 15 (I got the 15 pro max doesn’t work with the headrig) or more now we have usb c, so basically should work ? Internationally all the devices will have usb c. Can you test it please ?? Because your headcam is AMAZING
You of course have more to work with when you have depth cameras and ARKit is just a really good and stable solution. But you can get quite far with 2D cameras as well, and the capture experience is just SO MUCH better when you don't have a heavy iPhone in front of your face. Our solver isn't available for testing yet, but you can check out Reallusion's AccuFACE or Faceware or some of the others to get a sense of what's possible without depth.
Hi Jason, it works with any solution that supports USB camera inputs. It is essentially just a 60 fps camera on a (very nice) mount :) You can plug it via USB and use it with solutions like AccuFACE, Faceware, Vseeface etc. But we of course recommend that you start by trying out our own solver because it comes with the hardware for free for 12 months. Then if that doesn't meet your needs, you can go for one of those other solutions
Great to hear :) It doesn't track head movements. You'll need our suit or another solution for that. Or there are alternatives like this with no suit ua-cam.com/video/uvLt6v6bV88/v-deo.htmlsi=X2i-3K6kdzpTR9F7
Hey Rokoko team! Can you possibly make a tutorial on transfering a Rokoko Animation To Roblox Studio trough blender, it would really help out a ton! Thank you if you respond!!!
When using the Headcam with Rokoko Studio, it’s designed to work with our Android Face Capture app, making it ideal for non-iOS workflows. However, this doesn’t mean the Headcam is incompatible with iOS devices. You can use it as a single-camera input with other apps, but it won’t work with our iOS Face Capture app because that app relies on ARKit and requires depth sensors. Given the advanced depth sensors in iPhones, we recommend using the Headrig with our iOS Face Capture app for the best performance on iOS devices.
No mention of MetaHuman Animator - a shocking omission which leads me to surmise that the camera camera comes with no depth sensor hardware at all. Would love to know if that's the case -

The Headrig doesn't have its own solver, so it's a very different product. In terms of the mocap quality itself, it depends on what solver you use (this will work with AccuFACE and other third party solver side from our own). Generally, the iPhone (ARKit) tracking is really good, because there are depth cameras providing more data. But the capture experience can be quite bad because you need the big iphone in front of you. So it depends on your use case
