Loved the intro 😂 - just bingeing all your A6400 videos. I’m desperately trying to make my fitness videos look good, but struggling to get a handle on it. What are your tips for action shots? Thanks for your efforts 🙏

Great tips... I'm messing with my back buttons all the time. Crucial to this camera, for sure. I'm curious... Do you know why being in movie mode would be better than being in manual mode? I'm always in manual mode, and so other than being able to use the shutter button, anything else different?

From what I can see, there doesn’t seem to be a difference between the actual video that’s shot when in manual mode vs movie mode.
What DOES seem to be different are certain (video related) menu items.
In addition, audio meters aren’t shown in manual mode.
My guess is that video mode is to give you an actual “preview” of exactly what it is you will be recording.
I hope this makes sense! 😊
Thanks for the comment and the support! I appreciate it! 🙏🏽

@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia So my audio meters are definitely showing and working in manual mode. I'm using the a6400. You don't see meters? Weird. I guess maybe some menu options aren't available for still photography if you're in movie mode, but it seems all options are available in manual mode for both, as far as I can see. I wonder if the basic quality is the same in each mode for video. Full 8 bit? I would assume it is. I'm thinking there is probably no difference, but then why have a movie mode at all? Strange... but I think I may email support at Sony and ask them. See if I get an answer. If I do, I'll let you know. Thanks for the response, and for all the great work that you do. See you on the next one. ;)

@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia Just went back and forth on a chat with Sony tech support. He kept telling me what I can't do when the dial is set to "M", but he was wrong. Finally, at the end of the chat, he asked me to hold, came back and said, "you can do anything with the dial set to "M". No difference at all from "Movie" mode, other than when dial is set to "M", you can also shoot stills, and so, there you go..... just fyi....

      Thanks for looking into it.
That’s interesting,. I definitely don’t have certain options available when “Manual” mode is selected on the dial.
Maybe I have an older firmware version? 🤷🏽‍♂️
      Thanks for the feedback! 👍🏾

@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia I think maybe the priority modes are not available, but I don't use any of those anyway. I always am completely in manual mode. Is that what you're missing? Aperture priority? Etc
