I just ordered the Sony a6400! After three months of debating between the Sony ZV E-10, Sony a6400, and Canon R50, I finally made my choice. I can't wait for it to arrive and start capturing amazing content.
Me too, a few days ago. I'm planning to shoot video and after a lot of research, I was really impressed with the quality that other videographers have been able to get out of it, even if it is an older camera. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. So excited!
I've just bought the camera today with a SEL18135, I'm still learning how to use it, I don't have any experience. How is it going with yours? Which lens do you use?
Just bought my first camera, the a6400 and im enjoying it a lot. Thanks for the help. After retiring from the military its been a great hobby. One that ive decided may as well make some money from. Only difference in my a6400, which i got from Sony last month, is no red record button for video and only the regular photo button for either.
video is really helpful but a live demonstration would've had more impact. Anyways, I found another UA-camr, who knows what they are doing. you're reaching heights man.
hi . may i ask if which is better ? i am planning to buy my very first camera and i am very confused which i will buy 😭😭 any recommendations ? canon eos r10 or sony a6400 ? please , need some advice 🙏🙏 thanks . God bless you and nice vids btw .
The A6400 is still no slouch. If you like the rangefinder design that is. The Sony APSC has way more primes available including third party ones. With the new 11mm f1.8, 15mm f1.4 and the 10-20mm f4. It is very well fleshed out.
Hi, I thought the same. I tried multiple things out and (idk if it actually works but you can try) when I didn’t open the cab of the objective so it stays black, I lost much less Akku… Maybe the camera doesn’t focus as much or something
just rented this one and they don't have the manuals😨 thanks for the vid! really really stuck of getting a6400 or the fuji xt30 and decided to rent first
Hey, for people in Europe, I've heard using 25fps instead of 24fps similarly 100 instead of 120 is recommended to prevent the strobing effect of light. Is there an option to select 25fps in video mode in a6400?
hey if you go into your menu there is a option in the custom menu to change from PAL to NTSC. If you don't find it, try taking it to the local camera store to see if they can show you
sony a6400 or a6100? When I checked recently the second one was cheaper and i’m thinking which camera is better. Should i pay more and buy a6400 or maybe a6100 is enough? I’m not a professional but also not a beginner, now i have my dad’s camera and it’s nikon d90 but i want something new and i thinking about this two… but maybe something another it’s gonna be better choice? however when i saw this sony cameras i think i can like them… maybe you can say something and help?
Super good video and very instructive. Earned a sub from little ole me. One complaint ( I understand this video is 1 year old from this comment) BUT you seem to be looking at yourself in a monitor or something next/above the camera? I actually couldnt stop thinking about it which made me lose focus on the actual tutorial 😂 -I'm sorry if this is a fussy thing but I feel like I was a little disconnected from listening to you talking to yourself rather than me, the viewer. Also; the Lumen camera facing down to show the Sony is reflecting in the screen, so its kind of distracting. Maybe use the mirror trick that movie makers use to record the top down shots; so give it a slight angle so I'm not just staring past the menu in the reflection at the camera.
I have a sony a6400 and it's been great...but im shooting a podcast and i'm noticing a "a pulsing blur" when i'm in automatic focus. It's never been an issue before. i have some back floor LED colored lights to create a mood that's bouncing off the wall. I assume its that any tips interns of setting for shooting 2 people talking?
Hello, I have a question, I have Sony a6400, when I transfer photos from my camera to laptop, all my photos have a dark corners on a Picture. I am using lens 3.5 - 5.6. Please let me know what I not doing right. Thanks
I'm considering this camera. I believe you misspoke concerting the 3.5mm jack on the camera. It is not a headphone jack but an external microphone jack. I know this is nitpicking but I'm a stickler for accuracy. Great video otherwise.
I have an A6400 with a 16/50mm kit lens 2 years to now, yesterday I bought a bigger kit lens 18/135mm ,and noticed that the 18/135mm does not go above optical zoom to digital, even when it is selected on ,in the menu. So my question is, how to activate it in the menu options with that lens? My 16/50mm works fine on that, even with the scale where it's optical and where the digital zoom position limit is on the screen and the individual units are in mm.Thanks a lot.
Hi I’m trying to find a camera that I can record for long periods at a time 5 hours or less not a Timelapse tho and can zoom in quite a bit all while not sacrificing the quality of the video do u have a recommendations without breaking the bank account thank you
thats isa tricky one because most camera will over heat by then or fill up the card. My advice would be to use an external recorder because it will allow you to record that long without an over heat or camera fill. I use a company called 'atomos". They make great products. However, if this not for artistic use you just be better off with a security camera
Hey man do you know how to trim my videos on this camera? Only way it lets me trim is once I transfer my super long video to my phone but usually it takes forever to transfer the video whenever I really just wanted a little clip from it. Anyone else have this problem?
I have a 6400 as well and yes it has some touch screen options. It's not 100% touch screen like if you're going thru the menus or anything but for certain focus points or too zoom on your photos and things, yes.
I think at the time i felt like film was a very niche thing. But I think film has grown in popularity . But i dont know if most 20 year olds known film outside of point and shoots unless they are a photo enthusiast
I am brand new to the Sony a6400 and after watching many tutorials on learning this camera, I can honestly say that THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST! Thank you
A guy that says ignore all the functions, just use it "auto"? Wth?
I just ordered the Sony a6400! After three months of debating between the Sony ZV E-10, Sony a6400, and Canon R50, I finally made my choice. I can't wait for it to arrive and start capturing amazing content.
I did the same! What are you using it for? Just wondering because Im still not fully sure of my decision.
@@bentham9380 i mainly use it for family photos, my trip photos, and youtube videos
my trip photos and videos for social media

Im debating between these cameras as well. May I. know. what lens you're using? How's the battery>?
Bought this about 18 months ago (first camera) and I'm in love always finding out new features your videos are super informative
Glad you like them!
I've just bought the camera today with a SEL18135, I'm still learning how to use it, I don't have any experience. How is it going with yours? Which lens do you use?
@yenk82 there is no 'right lense' but I like my 16-105 great all around and most used out of the 3 I got just bought another sony A7iii aswell
My man! fastest tutotial and straight to the point. Easy to understand for begginers such as myself.
This was so much easier to apprehend than other tutorials! Thank you!
I just bought this camera and appreciate the quick tutorial!

Great Tutorial. Perfect hierarchy of explanations starting with on/off. Thanks.
Just bought the camera and this video was super helpful!
Thank you for this video. I just picked up the a6400 and this video was quick and to the point for photo settings. Much appreciated!!
Thank you so, so much for this tutorial and walkthrough. I found it so helpful in getting acquainted with my a6400! 🙌
video is really helpful but a live demonstration would've had more impact. Anyways, I found another UA-camr, who knows what they are doing. you're reaching heights man.
This was incredibly helpful. Thanks so much! Love the channel
Great video. Can't wait to get my Sony a6400! (I'm coming from a Nikon D3200.. and the auto focus is soooooo bad!)
I've just bought the camera, thank you for your tutorial, I will watch other videos from you :)

Buy canon R7 body only and buy 50mm lens and then you buy more while growing as a content creator

Canon rebel7 really cheap plus you buy a 35mm and there you go
I feel you 🤗
The A6400 is my first camera and I must say, this camera is ELITE
Losing 20% of battery by playing with the settings for 20 minutes is unacceptable.
Hi, I thought the same. I tried multiple things out and (idk if it actually works but you can try) when I didn’t open the cab of the objective so it stays black, I lost much less Akku… Maybe the camera doesn’t focus as much or something
If you go to Network1 in menu you can turn on airplane mode, it is better for battery live
Yo, still better than my phone
It’s crazy. I just got the A6400. Bought 2 extra batteries with it. Might need to buy 2 more.
Use airplane mode it helps save batteries
Excellent! Thank you🫶🏾
just rented this one and they don't have the manuals😨 thanks for the vid! really really stuck of getting a6400 or the fuji xt30 and decided to rent first
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, AMAZINGGG
Very informative, great video.
O replies? Let me fix that
Thanks! Very clear and helpful. 🙂
Huh? Ignore A(aperture) mode? This is the mode the most professionals are using in order to keep the depth of field under control...
^If i have only 2 weeks of learning how to use the camera before an vacation. should i just stick to Auto mode? Or there another "easy" mode to learn

Is the camera boost course still available? I couldn't find a link and don't know how to look it up.
I’m trying to buy the camera boost course package but it keeps saying my email is invalid and I can’t submit the payment order.
Bonjour, pouvez-vous me dire ISO de base ou ISO RÉf de A6400 ? En basse lumière on peut pousser jusqu'à combien ISO ?
What tripod are you using there for the drop down shots? 😁

it shouyld have a thread and it wil screw onto your lens front. just place it at the front and twist it.
why some of my setting are not available when i click on it it says "this operation or setting not available". How can i fix that ????
you might be in wrong mode. make sure you are in full manual

Panic brought me here for a quick lesson for a last minute need. 🥴
is it touch screen?
I have a 6400 as well and yes it has some touch screen options. It's not 100% touch screen like if you're going thru the menus or anything but for certain focus points or too zoom on your photos and things, yes.
Tutorial for using as video camera for dummies please
And transferring files. I cannot move them. I saw one time you have to click on video button? Was is das?
4:04-record video by hitting red button
7:40-says to shoot raw plus jpeg. Says raw photos are better for being edited
9:52-says most people will just need 2 modes
11:50-use dmf
14:50-mentions slow motion
You said like 20 years old didnt knew what film is😂 you act like 60 years old dude😂
I think at the time i felt like film was a very niche thing. But I think film has grown in popularity . But i dont know if most 20 year olds known film outside of point and shoots unless they are a photo enthusiast
