- This video is about building my new greenhouse, which is a Vitavia Jupiter 11500 polycarbonate greenhouse. It is 14 foot 7 inches long and 8 foot 5 inches deep and uses a 6mm twin wall polycarbonate glazing. Its a quality greenhouse that's for sure.
In this greenhouse I'll be setting up an aquaponics system with either trout and/or tilapia. I'll be heating the greenhouse in winter and using greenhouse grow lights to grow plants throughout winter.
You can get this greenhouse from vitavia.co.uk or from a bunch of other online shops.
That's one big greenhouse. When I got my glass greenhouse (6 foot square), my husband very kindly built it for me. It took one day to build the frame and then another to put in the glass. I would have done it myself, but he offered, so I wasn't going to say "No". I helped by bringing out tea and biscuits on a regular basis. We bolted it to the concrete base, and it's been up now for about 3 years, and is still brilliant. Hope you have fun in your.
Congrats on your success Vince!! You did it all by yourself!!! Good man!! Thanks for your time for making and sharing this video....and love the last bits of your video...lol.....
I am gearing up to order this greenhouse. But with the toughened glass. Thank you for this build video. It gives me confidence in the product.
Thanks Steve, glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice. We made our using double layered plastic with blown air in between to create a bubble of insulation. We also us a gas heater during the really cold months to get a jump start on our early tomatoes, peppers and so on. Thanks for posting
Hello. I have just bought this greenhouse, and your vid was very helpful.
Great video which helped save me loads of time. I find the Vitavia instructions near on useless so it was great to see which way round everything was supposed to go and especially how the door was mounted on the rail at the bottom.
Great video Vince.
Nice!
Great work. That's a nice looking greenhouse. The real name of the triangular pieces is "Gussets."
Fun video. Thanks for sharing.
Good job Love
Great video.
Very Informative! thanks for filming the build. How is it holding up for you so far?
Hello
Nice video, thanks.
Nice video , thank you.
Nice video! Any plans for another one sometime soon?
did you attach it to something on the ground, like the concrete drive with some lag bolts?
Even though our green house is a different brand it's given us a lot of good ideas what to expect while putting it together. How did you secure it to the concrete base?
