All of them! Thank you Barbara. I recently discovered your channel and It has made a tremendous impact in my life dealing with anxiety. Thank you for doing this for of us that need this. You are amazing!!!
As someone in active treatment for cancer, I can attest that crying can make me feel better pretty quickly. I know for me personally, being in survival mode makes me not express my feelings, sometimes because they are inconvenient, and sometimes because they upset those around me. And I know I need to cry, because when I'm alone and can relax a bit, I can cry over ANYTHING. So, long story short, crying is helpful! Thanks for these great videos, Barbara!
I love these tips and I use them all the time when I feel anxious. I’ve also shared your video with a friend. These are all so positive, I really believe they can be helpful 😊
Yeah, this can be a problem, I know. The reasons for this can be very varied. I think tapping into the sadness that is under anxiety can help even if you can't cry - because it might be an emotion more congruent with the situation.
While I agree that crying can be helpful, I have to disagree with the idea of crying while you drive--your focus, concentration, not to mention your vision are all compromised. Best to pull over, or just sit in your driveway. My concern with crying at work is that sometimes when I get going I can't stop....just massive hysterical sobbing that goes on for 15 minutes.
I agree fully. Pull over. Crying while you are driving is just another form of distracted driving.and very high risk. Up there with angry driving and texting.
Crying is so amazing and it comes on even with silly sad things. My partner at the time was the complete opposite. She would often say. stop crying, be a man' we didn't last long
Omg, #1 is SO TRUE! When I had a small panic attack on the plane, I cried and then I felt 100% better. Laughing really makes me feel better. That’s why I love chatting with my girls.
Thank you for this video and your great tips. I love how you explain the science behind things in all of your videos in a way that's easy to understand. This video reminded me that I feel good after doing any kind of workout and has inspired me to get back to it.
I love these tips Barbara! I love tip #3 because it usually ends in making us laugh...another great stress and anxiety reliever! Thanks for sharing these! :-)
OMG, there are 3 different kind of tears! True, I feel better after crying but also have a huge headacke. Exercise realy isn't an option. And do 3 a lot
I love sweating! Exercising, dancing, and stretching helps me significantly. Plus, it's like nature's body shaping coping techniques for absolutely free. That's why people hate how joyful and out there I am. My mother always behaved in silly and goofy ways with me, to release anxiety. And my grandfather taught me how to engage in laugh therapy
Hi Sherry: The webinar is ongoing. It is interactive in that you can email questions as they arise and we respond. roadmaptojoy.life/rewiring-your-brain/ Also, if you make sure you get on my email list, you'll be notified whenever I go live! You can do that by downloading this: awakenjoy.lpages.co/negative-core-beliefs-pdf/
7:10 could you talk about the hormones of laughter like you do for the hormones of crying? I find it super helpful to understand how repressing your hormones can affect your emotional state like you've done in some parts of this video. :-)
@@BarbaraHeffernan when you have the chance to visit our country again, try to visit the south of the country, avoid rio or são paulo, here in the south we have a different culture, with very beautiful places. I wish you all the best
Which one will you try?

UA-cam: 3 ways to reduce anxiety
I don’t know about crying. Once I start crying I can’t stop and I get more depressed 😂
As a quick point, squats and desk-pushups are something that people who work in offices might be able to do while on the clock.
Great idea! I love this!
I'm crying all the time. It doesn't help.. I have really severe anxiety, gad
I'm sorry to hear that... but yes, if it is a frequent pattern it is not likely to be helpful. I hope some other techniques are of use to you!

I’m recovering from CFS and other chronic illness, so the energy to exercise just isn’t there. Also, I have a hard time making myself cry. Any tips?
