Just a friendly pointer. You risk burning out your pump with the hose you are using when you put it in the river. You need to use a hose that won't collapse under suction. Garden hoses are not designed to use under suction.
That looks like a pretty good looking system. I wondered how well those things works. $700 is a good price if its works properly. And looks like it filtered the water ok to
Hi John, We are pretty happy with it so far. We have had a few different hot water systems over the years and I think this is about the best of all the ones we have tried.
Nice review mate. I just bought one of these and think they are good value for everything you get..I agree about the sink.. I don't take mine just a folding sink. The one think I noticed was that your pump was in the trailer..It seems on the joolca site you are suppose to have it close to the water source ( which is why they now sell a fairly expensive power pack the can sit next to it ) it seemed that you didn't have much issue with leaving it in the trailer? ..cheers again for the review 🙏
I probably should have showed exactly how the pump was attached but the water tanks are in the trailer and the pump was attached to a tap on the side for normal use. It was only when we got water from the creek that the water was a long way off but it brought it through with no problem at all.
Make dummy d battery,s. Say timber or plastic. Screw in the middle. Small hole in bottom of battery box for the wires. Then 12 volt to 3 volt dc converter. Jaycar $33 is 7 amps
I had trouble controlling the temperature. It was the wire strainer in the inlet. It would be better a bigger inline wire filter. More easier to clean.
